How do I clean the sensor without damaging or causing scratches on it?
Just wipe it with a cloth. It'll be very hard to scratch it when cleaning it unless you're using a razor blade

Hi what can I use to clean the phone touch screen (SE x8)? It's always oily. My phone have screen protector, it's a plastic sticker on the touch screen.
simply clean Fingers
I use a small microfibre cleaning rag without any liquids
I use a damp tissue or cloth followed by a dry one. Works as well if not better than the fancy stuffs.
I have a microfiber cloth also but after a cple days wet paper towel then dry it with the cloth
Any glass cleaner, applied to tissue/cloth and wiped over screen will do the trick.
glass cleaner will leave a residue behind because of the ammonia. after you take a shower just wipe it with your damp towel. Does the trick perfectly
Brasso gadget cleaner i use it for my streak its sh?t hot

I think that could get moisture inside the device, which is probably not a good thing :S
you can use white vinegar small amount 1/2 and 1/2 water on the damp cloth and then dry it will remove the grease and slime your fingers put on the screen/protector
Micro fiber cloths for the win... or your T-shirt.

I use rubbing alcohol and wipe it with microfiber. So far it works okay on my HTC HD2, but cannot be sure if the alcohol will do any damage to the screen.
Try windows/white board cleaner WITHOUT amonia.
I also use microfibre rag without any liquids.
Damp cloth , dry with microfibre cloth
Mouth vapor and t-shirt!
Microfiber will do!
Try Zagg wipes. You can get them off zagg's website (cant post links sorry)
First thins first that I have learned, before touching any tech nology, wash your hands! Use antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer to remove the grease, next, take a nice microfiber cloth and gently rub the phone in circles, wax on, wax off motion. Once you have complted this step and the creen is completely clean, gently glide your clean finger across the screen in a swiping motion... see how xlean it feels

Seems so simple doesn't it. Unless you are playing beach volleyball just prior to cleaning your phone you'll never scratch the glass with a t-shirt.
Microfiber and cleaning solution, LOL.
So I had to resolder my micro usb port, and hot glue it, I did it successfully
However, I touched the lense, and there is this rubber thing on it, and when I clean it, that rubber thing kind of smudges onto the lense.
It's kind of clean atm, but not perfect. Also my outer glass cover lense(the outermost glass) is scratched up.
Anyone know what would happen if I removed that rubber piece covering the the lense?

Might get crude or dust in it. You could use rubbing alcohol on a rag and wipe lens. Or paint thinner lol just don't get it on the plastic.
Will pretty much any soft cloth do? What about some rubbing alcohol too?
The lens has a protective piece of glass over it, so do your worst!
Well obviously that's what I meant. The lens glass lol
lens cloth should do the trick you could pop into your local opticians and ask them for one..
I just use the microfiber cloth that came with my Oakley sunglasses. If I need to do some deep cleaning, then I bust out my lens tissue and lens cleaner solution that I use on my SLR. The lens cleaner solution is alcohol I'm presuming.
So I have a scuff on my screen that's not rubbing out with water or my finger or shirt.. it's not scratched, just scuffed. But a paIn In the ass one. Not damage Into the screen.. any ideas how to get it off? Screen cleaner doesn't help
So a what? A smudge? If you mean damage glass then nothing will fix it easily. If you mean a substance then try distilled water with some rubbing alcohol. Since it sounds like damage to the glass, you might be out of luck.
Hey all
Just got my hands on a Midnight Robin, and holy crap the back side is full of my fingerprints and some oil from my hand lol, which are leaving ****ty marks
Is there any way to clean them ? I tried a dry cloth and a glasses non-alcoholic spray cleaner, none worked.
I dont want to get a case, i love using my phones naked
Thank you <3
High percentage isopropyl alcohol. 70% is fine, but I'd go with 90% if they have it, or anhydrous but that's not as widely available.
Or any spray electronics cleaner, like pledge or windex. Spray a little onto a soft lint-free cloth, and wipe the phone down with that.
There's nothing stopping you from using alcohol and other cleaners on the back. Some screens, particularly iPhones, (I am not sure about the robin) have a oleophobic coating that is removed if anything but a damp cloth is used to clean it. For the back, mild detergents, isopropyl alcohol are both fine. Anything that isn't glass won't have a oleophobic coating.

I will try that. Thank you
I agree. I just got mine as well, and it's a HUGE fingerprint magnet. I just used some denatured alcohol (basically the same as what was recommended above) and it cleans it up super easy.
