Hello Experts..
I have recently had this issue with my Tab S4
1. As u can see in the attachment.. i have lost sensitivity with SPen on the right side of the screen.
2. The test menu is flipped upside down no matter i do.
The actuall screen and program is ok.. but the test menu is flipped.
I have just noticed these 2 issues when i was trying to draw.
Any ideas?
Sorry Guys.. Just sorted it out.. it was the ****ty book cover with magnets ?

Guys pls help enabling the air view feature is creating some problems .
Wen I use spen to type on keyboard with airview On. Then wo touching the screen the spen types watever letters it waves over.
Spen also selects application automatically wo touching it just by waiving it over the screen.
As soon as I switch off airview the problem ends.
Pls help is anyone facing the same problem.
Or any solutions....??????????
That is not a problem related to airview.
It was a known "bug" on original Note spen and it has definitely been carried over here too.
That s pen sometimes clicks even when it is 4 - 5 mm above the surface.
It is usually when the mobile is....on flat surface afaik...
Its not related to airview
sounds really stupid but reading another thread on here someone said to slam the pen down on its side as to not harm it and it will work perfectly......mine was doing the same thing as yours an it was very frustrating....this fixed it immediately and now it is awesome!!!

I tried tapping the pen, moving the tip, cleaning, turning air view off - nothing fixed it until I adjusted the potentiometers
Hi Guys,
I think this has been already asked before but i did not a get a perfect solution for this, i brought a the Note 2 and i tried using the s Pen and found that when even not touching the screen in the apps/home screen if i scroll left and right it scrolled the page just like that, i did not even touch the screen for it and it worked to scroll the pages just like that with 2 cms away from the screen and the next day when i try to hover it, its not working like that, it asks me to touch the screen in order to scroll the pages or hover it to the corner of the screen to show the arrow mark where it scrolls (even here i don't have to touch it), i saw lots of videos , and everyone are trying to touch the screen and move it, and as everyone said , we need change that potentiometer and things, even i tried that and its not working. please clarify me, will i be able to swipe screens left and right without touching it, like before, or its a setting i have changed or i have a issue with S pen, i am totally confused, help me out guys. Thanks in Advance.:crying:
I just bought the Note 4 and after installing a custom recovery my bottom portion of the screen doesn't work (specifically the area where the app drawer is located on the home screen). I can use the S pen any where on the screen. I have now reverted my phone back to stock with the hopes of fixing this problem though it didn't help. Is there anything else I can do.
Also, the top portion of the screen that works seems to be off be 2-3cm. This makes me think that the calibration of the touch sensor maybe be off. Is there any way to fix that?
Edit: it seems that when I go into landscape mode there is no recognition error. Perfect accuracy and there isn't a zone that doesn't work.

Im assuming you have D.E. version of the note 4 as the retail is locked. Next question ive seen people have issues with both s-pen and screen, so is there a way you can try another s-pen on your screen and try your s-pen on another screen?

The S-Pen works fine on my phone and other devices. There just seems to be a block where the touch sensor doesnt pick up on anything. It also seems that the area for the touch sensor that is recognized by the software shrunk and isn't actually broken. So lately I have been trying to find a way to re calibrate it or find some sort of system file for me to edit the value and put them back to normal.
I noticed after upgrading to Lollipop that it was difficult to navigate menus near the top of the screen in some apps. I turned on the "pointer location" option and sure enough I found very strange results.

This first screenshot is me running two fingers all the way to the top of the screen, and once i reached the top i ran them towards the edge of the screen. As you can see there is an area where the pointer location bugs out.

This image is just a single finger running horizontally across the top of the screen. The top line is where my finger actually was, but the phone also registered extra touches as you can see from the line below. There's even a section where the top line didn't register at all.
This is a Verizon phone, never been rooted, and hasn't been dropped or wet. I noticed while making this post that the area i am having issues with aligns almost perfectly with the top part of Sense's notification menu.
Is this normal or do I need to exchange my phone?
I am having the same issue with my phone. When I turn on show touches in developer options or install a multitouch test app, it'll show an extra touch just below where I'm touching but only when I'm touching at the top of the screen. Stock lollipop, never rooted, no water damage.

I don't. I didn't want to do that yet. Was hoping to see if anyone else had the issue and if they were able to resolve it.
Just want to see if anyone was able to resolve this issue.
fixed!
we need the old piezo lighter's element. The phone must be turned off. A few strokes on the screen near the problem area, and voila, the screen works again. Do not be afraid, the phone will not be damaged

I hate to sound like a complete noob but does anyone else have an issue when trying to catch a screenshot using the palm swipe method? I have tested it many times and still find it "hit and miss" as to whether I catch the shot I am aiming for or simply swipe the screen across, sometimes catching a screenshot midway through!
Does anyone either 1) have the same issue or 2) have any tips?
The cover I have for the tab makes using the two button method a touch tricky, especially when trying to be as efficient as possible. I hate looking like I am grappling with my tab during meetings!
You can use the pen to take screen shots
