Hi everybody, my English is not the best, but I try to explain my problem.
I'm from Hungary, but I think its not the main point.
Yesterday my android system has updated to Oreo.
Everything works fine except Facebook Messenger's LED notification light. Emails, other application's notifications LED works correctly.
In Android 7 there was no problems with it.
Everything is turned on, so I don't know the reason.
I read some other forums, they advised me to turn on autostart, but it didn't help me.
Anybody who has the same problem?
Thanks for your help!!!
Go here and turn on notification light for everything.
Thanks for your answer!
I have turned on everything in Messenger application.
Your attachment is about Facebook app, I turned there everything, too. Autorun also.
I still don't have notification light.
Anything else maybe?

Since I updated to the latest handcent sms version thre days ago, I have an issue with the notification LED.
It just stays on, even after I ahve checked and deleted the message.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks
Yes I had the same.
I went in and fiddled with the notification options. Rebooted. And now it works.
I can't remember exactly what I did but I think I change the lashing freq.
I like the blue led for texts though. very nice.

Their latest update v3.2.2, blue LED is fix.

Cheers, I will try new version.
This just started today. My notification light is a constant blue. It won't go off. I have no notifications of any kind. In fact I turned off everything. I'm not using Lightflow. I wiped cache and dalvik and even reflashed the Kernel (Franco). It's really eating the battery.
Any solutions? Most appreciative.

thats the kernel lol. if youre on AOKP or CM9 check the led light settings
if its not that then it must be one of the apps in the background
Duh, sorry. I knew that. It's stock.
I can't find any running Apps that would enable an always on blue light. I've never seen this light except by modification. My green notification light is definitely not engaged at the moment as I've gotten numerous texts and emails that would have triggered it.
Any ideas at all?
have you got lightflow installed but disabled? if so you can check the accessibility settings to see if it is actually turned off,
other than that i cant see what could be causing a blue led. the GNex led by default is white for notifications. last resort would be to do a backup and factory reset
No Lightflow installed.
Damn!
install a battery monitoring application to see what exactly is eating your battery, that might show up with something

You said in the OP you weren't using it, not that it wasn't installed. If you're going to be rude, then fix the problem yourself.

Uh, wasn't rude. Just responding to his question. The damn was directed at my frustration.
Peace.
Did you just install handcent? That blinks my light blue for texts.
Facebook notifications blinks blue too
Facebook notifications are completely turned off.
Handcent has been installed forever. But I haven't made any changes to the notification process. And the light doesn't blink. When the screen is off it is constant on.
The light recently turned off. But as soon as I unlocked it and locked it again the light came back.
Weird....and sooo frustrating.
All of your LED notifications are disabled? In that case, enable them ALL! LOL, That's what I would do anyway. And try to receive as many notifications as possible. Worth a shot.
At this point, I would just wipe the phone and redo a clean install. You'll end up less frustrate than trial and error to find the fix.

Yeah, but I'm really trying to avoid this. My next step is a Nandroid restore.
Sigh....
Today I had the same on CM10, freshly installed (with wipe) yesterday. I shut off the screen and the blue LED goes on constantly.
Before that, I had this issue on Stock ROM. Really don't know what's going on there, some ppl in german forums are having the same issue.
A reboot or some tricks (send yourself a text message) do help clear the LED. My catlog says nothing, i.e. I didn't found any suspect message.
Im using nxt lite rom and have noticed i have to notification led could someone help me plz

Try app called LED me know:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.p0w4.ledMeKnow&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5wMHc0LmxlZE1lS25vdyJd
or this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.schwimmer.android.smsawake&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zY2h3aW1tZXIuYW5kcm9pZC5zbXNhd2FrZSJd
In first app u can set time flashing, how long should be flashing and even it wont solve you problem, that second app will turn on your screen for a while and it turn led flashing corectly, some roms has issue that led doest work when is screen off. But i think second app solve you only sms flashing, missed calls not. Try fist, I had it and work properly.
EDIT: First app is for everything....missed cals, email, facebook etc.
Has anyone figured out to get light flow to overwrite the settings for the notification light in settings? It seems like my settings from both are working.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How do you set Light flow? On my phone it doesn't work (Oxygen 3.2.0)
Root
by rooting the op3.. i dont know about the unrooted phone.
For me, even with root and playing around with the LED settings, no luck.. I cant get it working unfortunately. The fancy stock colors the OP3 shows (especially for google+ or tapatalk) are dont even make sense to me.

Confirmed! You just need to get used to the colors, but it is working, thanks for this!
I use Light Manager. A little simpler than light flow and works perfectly fine on my OP3.
My light flow (pro) is working fine. Got snapchat glowing yellow whatsapp green and charging light set to red. Seems to be working fine.

Light Flow Pro here in pair with Legacy (to get rid of the notification) and it works fine...as for the legacy however i contacted the developer and it gives me a modified apk that however will be in the play store (or maybe it is yet)

I'm using this combination as well, and it's working.. sort of. When my screen is off, the notification light constantly cycles through all the available colors, just like when you run the test and have to turn the screen off.. only permanent. Not sure why it's happening, never had this issue w/ any previous devices. I did restore my data from previous install, but I've gone through all the settings and checked/unchecked at some point and it's still happening. Thoughts/

I talked with the developer.. It seems that is an Oxygen OS related issue.. He told me that also the s7 edge was having that issue and it was fixed by Samsung with a software update.. On Oxygen I read also some people that has problem with stock led control.. Then probably there is something buggy on our system..
I didn't try any other led app however.. Did you?

Oh that's good to know, thx for sharing. I haven't tried any other app yet, I just disabled LightFlow for now since the constant cycling has to chew up extra battery when the screen is off. I'm also still on 3.1.3, going to upgrade to 3.1.2 and see if that helps.
Anyone else having this problem. It's only just happened. I've unpaired, uninstalled software, done everything I can think of. My phone is connected to it but when I get a message etc it doesn't come up on my watch.

I've factory reset my phone and watch. Still not working. A phone call comes up on my watch so it must be a setting I can't work out.
Mine was working yesterday on a stock rooted rom on my phone, but not today on a modified rom. What are you running?

Hi,
I also had issues and did not recieve messages on my watch... (see: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-watch/help/messages-arriving-watch-t3510071)
Did your recently reset your phone to factory settings?
Because the new version of Android Wear is asking for permissions to recieve notifications.
I did everything but the solution was simple for me:
Open the Android Wear app and on startup page there should be a blue notification which says something like klick here to enable notifications...klick this button and allow the notification permission and everything should work fine now.

You can also access that in Settings > Apps > Gear Icon (upper right) > Advanced / Special Access > Notification access, then toggle on the Android Wear if it is not on
Thanks a bunch... I went to the app and noticed it said not connected... Touch to reconnect... Had to do that 4x and it finally connected

I'm having the same problem only I've done all of the above and it's still not working.
Notifications work for everything except messages and gmail.
It's only been doing it since the watch updated to Android Wear 2.5.
I have reset both the phone and the watch to factory, deleted and reinstalled the apps and still nothing.

I don't know but I wish there was an easy way to go back to 2.0.
Hopefully someone far smarter than me will see this and tell us how easy it is ?
try to "sync all apps" again with the android wear app.. then shut down and restart the watch. This works until I rebooted my phone, then I had to do it again

It's obvious now that the current Android Wear app on the phone needs to be updated to become compatible with the 2.5.
My workaround to this issue was, which I've tested many times and worked so far, finger crossed!:
1-Turn the watch off
2-Turn the Bluetooth off on the phone
3-Turn the watch on completely
4-Turn on the Bluetooth on the phone.
The first notification will take 3-4 seconds to arrive.
Excellent effort. So far that seems to be working for me. I haven't received any messages yet but I'm getting my email notifications (which I wasn't before).
Thank You

Oddly enough though, I followed the instructions step by step and actually had a facebook notification pop up on the watch immediately after it powered up but before I'd turned bluetooth back on on the phone!
@hagba Thank you very much those step work. I also noticed that google assistant doesn't work when you send your first query. You have to ask it something, click on the little colored dots then ask it the same thing again and it works. You have to do this everytime you make any request. Annoying. I hope the knuckleheads at Google will fix these annoying issues soon.

Myself I have no such problem with the Google assistant, it works fine from the first voice command without touching the colored dots, even "Ok Google" works well.
