I need help with g3 d855 and all aosp and lineage roms. G3 do not have fingerprint sensor so for me pattern lock is obious only solution. Stock g3 have notifications and lock screen immediately when screen is on but AOSP roms you have to swype first then pattern then clcik on something.
Now, problem is when you set "show pattern directly", then pbroblem is that you have to unlock it first to see time or notifications and second problem when mail or message come, screen would be on for as long as you set screen on time. For me is 2 minutes. That is very battery draining.
Custom lock screens have also that problems, everything is great, but when mesage come screen is on for two minutes instead 5 seconds.
Is there any other solution, like on stock, pattern lock.

I am getting 2 bugs on this rom.
One is that when i change the brightness on Notification power widget or in the settings, after i lock the screen and unlock again he goes to default. So, i cant change the brightness.
The second problem is that sometimes, the keyboard (android keyboard or touchpal) locks, and i cant send messages for 1,2 minutes. The messages system gets slow and with breaks.
beside that, excellent rom.

One thing that I wish I could do with my phone is have the swipe lock always turn on when the screen goes off, but the security lock only come on automatically after a set time. As is (on MC2), I find that it's all or nothing. With the swipe lock activates with the pattern lock or neither activates. I've been using the security lock for a while, but with the screen turning on at every text, I was hoping to have the swipe lock so I don't butt-dial people.
Is this possible? I had this option when running a custom ROM on my Evo 3d. I'm on the stock, rooted, deodexed, MC2 ROM. Do any of the custom ROMs offer this option?
2 days ago I started getting a strange lock screen on my S3. I noticed it when my alarm went off in the morning. There was a plain black and blue lock screen. When I swiped past it, my alarm showed up. When I dismissed my alarm, my normal lock screen showed up (complete with the normal unlock pattern dots.)
This new lock screen doesn't show up all the time. Maybe 2-3 times per day. I think, but I'm not sure, that it's being triggered by the phone going to sleep. Turning the screen off and on only triggers the normal lock screen. The new lock screen never overrides the default lock screen - it's just over top of it. Also, it looks like if I disable lock screens altogether in settings, the new lock screen goes away.
I've uninstalled all launchers except Lightning Launcher and TouchWiz. LL's lock screen is a separate app that I do not have. I've uninstalled all lock screen replacements that I know of (I only had Widget Locker). I checked the list of recently updated apps to try to figure out if it's a new "feature", but nothing. I've checked the list of running apps, along with apps that automatically start up on load and I don't see anything strange.
Does anyone know of a way I can determine how to figure out what this is? I'd like to get rid of it.
I'm running StockMod ROM 4.3 (rooted). A screenshot is attached.

I didn't see Active Display, but I did notice that Dynamic Notifications was enabled. Not sure when or why. I turned it off and I haven't seen anything pop up since. Hopefully that was it.

This has been annoying me lately but I don't know when it started. I'm running 5.1.1, using fingerprint lock (tried also with pin lock, same thing), with a 10 minute delay of locking after screen off. For some reason, in the lock screen I no longer have access to quick settings, even when the screen isn't pin/fingerprint locked (within the 10 minutes). Was this changed on purpose for "security purposes" and now even when you don't want the lock screen protected, you have no access to quick settings?
Is it just me? Or is that the way it's meant to be/has always been?

Iv'e owned many phones with many different android versions from Kitkat to Nougat, and while i was changing UI's and launchers every now and then, i always kept 1 thing permanent: I had a shortcut (whether 3rd party or from the launcher) that locked the screen when clicked.
There was never an issue to use this shortcut to lock the screen, and then unlock the screen with the fingerprint reader, there was no waiting time between locking and unlocking and this feature always worked flawlessly.
In my Zenfone 5/Oreo/Zen UI it doesn't work anymore: You can now use one of 2 options, either to lock screen immediately but cannot use fingerprint to unlock afterwards, or to dim the screen which will lock regularly after 5-10 seconds.
Both are the options are annoying, what happened to the way it used to work before?
