Guys recently I bought honor 7x.. I want to unlock its bootloader and root it.... But huwai removed the page of unlocking bootloader... Guys pls guide me..
Thanks in advance
Use dc unlocker to get bootloader unlock codes. Go to their website and create account and buy credits for $5. Download their app and follow the procedures. Then should select read bootloader unlock code. Warning: do not waste your money on any other option. Once you get the code, back it up on Google drive. Now go to fastboot mode. Make sure oem unlocking is enabled. Use command
Fastboot oem unlock *code*
Or the code which your adb supports.
And your bootloader will be unlocked.
All the best!
(there is no other reliable method. Don't worry this is safe. Other methods cost more. I personally used this method in emui8. )

I went to see if my bootloader can be unlocked from the sony website.
I followed the instructions by putting that code into my phone dailer.
Under the section if it says my bootloader can be unlocked, it says no.
Does this mean I CANT use custom roms?
Is there no other way to unlock the bootloader?
You can always unlock the bootloader, it's just a matter if it's free or not. It all goes back to whether you can use fastboot or not ( the tool used to flash kernels). If you bought your phone sim unlocked it more than likely means fastboot is enabled and you can unlock for free through sonys tool and be on your way to flashing custom kernels. If your phone is sim locked or you paid to get the sim unlocked by a code then fastboot will be disabled. So to rephrase: turn your phone off, hold the search button and plug it in to your computer, if the status light goes blue (and you're not on a CDMA one, r800x) then fastboot is enabled and you can unlock for free through sonys utility, otherwise you're going to have to use a pay service like this (~$24):

And to answer your question, yes and no, while it's not possible to flash ROMs that use a custom kernel like cyanogenmod without an unlocked bootloader you CAN flash stock based ROMs through the recovery made for locked bootloaders.
I have an R800A from Rogers.
The LED doesn't go on at all when I press the search button.
When I goto sony's website, I go into the phone settings, where it says if the bootloader can be unlocked, it says NO.
You mentioned a paid servers. Is unlocking the phone by allowing it on another network the same as unlocking the boot loader?
No, that's sim unlocking. Confusingly a bootloader unlock will actually sim unlock you as well though, the difference between the two is a sim unlock is a code and the bootloader unlock is done through test points. So ya, if you didn't get the blue light your only option for unlocking is a paid service, sorry.
Well actually an unlocked bootloader allows booting of custom(unsigned) kernel images and can be achieved with various means according to the situation.

Which is what I said in my above post... And the only ways to unlock it are:
- Through sony's online tool if fastboot is enabled and you have an IMEI (sorry CDMAs)
- Or a test point unlock, such as setool2 or omnius, which will enable fastboot
Oh ok sry then, thought u were being general.

You have to pay someone to unlock your bootloader for you and flashtool won't cut it. R800x as far I know there is no key to unlocking bootloader for free. I highly recommend Alejandrissmo a fellow reputablesite and xda member.

This is incorrect. I had my phone bootloader unlocked by ashergrey over a year ago via an unlock code. Even though I am unlocked I went to the sony unlock site and it gave me an unlock code to my email. So you should only need to get that unlock code, and make sure you have the latest flashtool drivers. There are tutorials on this in the Development and General section
OK but the problem is that the one driver(android_winusb.inf) they specifically ask you to install isn't installing...device manager doesn't show bootloader interface file... Thats what's stopping it from unlocking...

I'd just wait for it to come back up . The other way is to pay $25 for the Sunshine app but I believe you need root on your device first then they unlock the bootloader but to get root you need to unlock the bootloader. See the dilemma?
Once we're able to get bootloader unlock key using DC unlocker , for how much time the key will remain valid to unlock bootloader for later time ?
I am planning to unlock bootloader later but want to get the key in advance.
1) If there is any sort of expiry data for requested bootloader key ?
2) Can same key can be used again after using it for 1 time ? In case if bootloader gets relocked , how to unlock again ? Do we again have to pay DC unlocker for bootloader key ?
1) each bootloader code is permanent, it wont expire.
2)you use the same bootloader code to unlock if your device is relocked.
I unlocked my bootloader with dc unlocked, but couldn't get a recovery,I installed one but it was stuck on twrp logo, please provide me a working link

Hey thanks for clarification , but wanted to confirm again . Are you 100% sure ?
Cause i asked Indian customer service of huawei and the female representative said opposite for 2nd point , said have to request again , though she sounds very amateur and dumb to provide knowledge regarding bootloader.
Does this one bootloader key remains same for every intentional market ?
Hi.
So I just bought a T-Mobile 9 pro online and I go to unlock the bootloader, and it won't let me ! I've tried the ADB command and it gave me an error saying it's not allowed. Then I turned the phone off and tried the button sequence to get into it. But there is no advanced option from recovery to boot into fastboot.
Just so you know. I'm trying to convert it to international ROM as I have done before with my other OnePlus phones.
Is this a common thing with T-Mobile ?
And how can I get the bootloader unlocked ?
Thanks
Oem unlock and usb debuging enabled in dev settings ?

If you don't have your unlock token from T-Mobile, you will need to use the Tmo->Eu MSM conversion tool to convert to EU. Then unlock bootloader there and go on to global or stay on Eu. If you stay on oos11 or 12, flash nonhlos modem back in.
You should back up modemst1/2 and persist/efs to be safe
