[RESOLVED] Ics official rom crash when I try to change background! (Galaxy S2)

Hello guys,
Unfortunately I still have problems after upgrading to ics ...
I upgraded from gingerbread and I had many problems and continue crashes.
The rom is official Samsung Xeo.
To solve the problems I did a wipe and re-install all the applications from the market (like I have a new phone, without syncing).
Now I have two problems:
If you use third-party app sms messages are sent double (two equal) [For this issue I'm following another post]
The most serious is this:
If I try to set a background image from gallery the phone freezes.
What i do: I go to the gallery, I select the image and immediately becomes all black. After I see popup "Application crash....".
I'm using Nova Launcher but with TouchWiz the problem is the same.
Do you have any idea on how I can fix?
I sought for applications that can set backgrounds. I managed to change but after the phone goes in spurts (with GPU acceleration enabled).

Try turning of '2d-hardware acceleration' in developers options. Worked with me.

The duplicate SMS problem is apparently solved in LP7 though I didn't have it in LPH/J or Q
I read in another thread that the gallery issue is caused by ticking the force GPU rendering option in developer options in settings

For text messages can you indicate the post? (I used the search function but could not find anything). I can not figure out if I can fix it or if it is a known unresolved bug!

Ota update, flash latest twrp, factory reset, and flash rom.

The ROM is 100% stable. User info can be changed in settings>user or through g+ by selecting "keep contacts up to date".

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad that others are getting some use out of these builds. I really made them for myself (hence the ROM name). I'll have a minor update rolling out tonight. Just a few app updates, removing aosp email, and adding an api-21 version of xda-one I compiled.

Browser and Gallery are forked projects from cm12 and will both be updated in next update. Google has abandoned those apps for their branded counterparts. Factory releases do not come with either as a result, but I don't like "Pictures" as my only gallery and prefer to have an alternative to "Chrome".

That is not a drain. Its a count of unaccounted/over counted stats. Its perfectly normal and is disabled in release builds. I had a dev setting in previous builds to disable it (which will be back in today's release), but all that does is hide it like the release builds...

1. I was playing with "invert colors" option in the accessibility menu. Now it shows up in the toggles menu, won't go away after restarting. Any solution? I know it's a tiny problem.
2. How can I access "app info" from recent apps in 5.1? I've enabled the developer options and I long-press on the application icon, but no luck. I could do this on stock 5.0.2. it's useful I think. But I haven't tested this on your 5.0.2. Is this because of your ROM or google has changed something in 5.1?
I have a Deb with your 5.1 rom (build date March 12th)

1. Manually change your device date back 30 days or more, run 'invert colors' again, then restore back to proper date. Added quick settings are on a date timer and will disappear if not re-used.
2. I'm not certain that app info has ever been accessible from "recent apps" tiles. Long pressing on any app in the app drawer will give you 'Uninstall' and 'App info' options below the status bar.

Spotify stops working a few seconds after i switch the screen off

Hey fellas,
i get this problem recently and its drivin me crazy.. i switched off battery optimization und wi-fi is set to stay alive all the time!
Is there anyone facing the same issue? Maybe it came with the new spotify update? Any workaround suggestions? I'm not rooted and on Nougat...
Would be super thankful for any advice!

I am in AOSIP rom. same problem
I change to deezer and it works fine. I think the problem is in spotify

App Vault MIUI 9.5.8.0

Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone on the latest stable release 9.5.8.0 can confirm the App Vault it toggleable for the home screen. I dislike using it and prefer to disable it (which I currently can on the latest dev build).

Few are comments, some commenting on a battery drop, no in-built alarm sound, and so on. Probably because of similar comments, some still waiting from updating and commenting on your question.

No worries, are these comments regarding the latest build? If so I probably wouldn't bother updating. Just wanted to check this one thing with the hope the build was actually working fully.

Like, completely gone from launcher or the setting is not there? FYI, the app vault toggle in my screenshot disables the shelf left of the home page of your launcher which includes notes, calander, search etc.

Seems they are removing that option in all the stable releases for whatever reason...

The toggle in my screenshot adds or removes the extra page on the home screen when you swipe left. The one with the search, notes, calander etc :good:

Question How to enable work Profile and Multiuser

Hello!
I was using, Galaxy s22ultra. I could enable work profile using shelter app which was available. Now I recently bought fold 4 SM-F936B/DS and I can't enable work profile. Also i want to know if i can also enable multiuser feature which is common in other android. I saw some video that in One UI 5.0 It was Beta feature.
Any Help will be really appreciated. Thank you!
P.S. I do use secure folder but it's not enough for me due to nature of my work. Thank you!

Hey Thank you for you response. Appreantly i was downloading older version of Shelter since it's not available on play store. After you comment i have downloaded latest version. it's working fine now.
