*ISSUE* How to restore IMEI (SM-G532G) Galaxy J2 Prime - Samsung Galaxy J2 Questions & Answers

Hi. I tried to change my IMEI number using the Chamelephon app. It did work, but it didn't turn out great. Network functions are okay, but it needs constant network operator scan as soon as I turn on airplane mode or restart my phone. The IMEI number became random numbers and symbols.
IMEI 1: >8<4=<:7?7<6?:2
IMEI 2: 9><398?64><6086
EFS is fine. Only IMEI has a defect.
I realized that Chamelephon should only be used on MTK (chinese or cloned) devices. Now I can't seem to find a way to get it back. Can someone teach me how, and do I need to get any Samsung Tool Pro type of things? If yes, how do I get started? (btw I want to do this for free)

[Q] No network Service / No Serial / IMEI OK

Hi!
Problems:
1) Serial is 000000000000000, although IMEI and IMEI/SV is ok.
2) Out of service network state, although network is detectable.
Solution:
Ariza Patch.
I know I've given the solution, but everytime I have to reinstall a ROM I have to do this over and over again which bothers me, besides having a serial number is better than 000000000.
The thing that caused this was a google app named swapper. I believe it stored the swap file on the partition of the EFS.
The phone's EFS was fixed by some technician, but unfortunately the serial was not.
No, I do not have a backup of EFS to restore. I only figured that out after this happened.
Other apps used to diagnose:
Check FUS - it says on "Product Code" as "Not Active"
CSC Select - played with a bunch of CSC codes to change, still no luck.
Galaxsim - shows my real serial number but phone is already unlocked.
Any suggestions would really be helpful aside from sending it back to Samsung Service Center and restoring a backed up EFS which I apparently don't have.
Thank you!
Ive this problem too

QPST - changes to NV items do not have any effect

Hello,
I am playing around with QPST RF NV Manager.
Whenever I do a change to an NV item, and write it back to the phone, the application does not complain or anything. But when I read the NV items back from the phone, it shows me the original value (my change is not there).
I tried working with QPST Service Programming, and it has the same problem.
Also I tried QPST software download to back up the NV items. Using xxd I converted the backup to hex file, did my changes in the hex, using xxd converted the manipulated hex back to binary format, Then I restored the NV items on the phone using the manipulated backup and it again does not have any effect.
FYI, I also played around with EFS Professional 2.072 and the changes also does not take place!.
Is there any setting somewhere that I need to change to make the changes for sure to be written into the phone?
BTW, when I put the phone in download mode (this was not when I was working with QPST stuff) I noticed that a grey text says: "Write protection: Enable". I wonder if this has any relationship to QPST problem!?!?!
Setup Environment:
Galaxy S4 T-Mobile Version.
4.2.2 Stock (Rooted) and sim unlocked.
Under QPST I see the correct port which detect the phone (under phone column I see a code and (0) )
Any hint will be appreciated.
Thanks
Did you find a solution to this?

Lenovo A806 Rom

Hello i tried experimenting with some custom roms and now my sim card is not being read at all.
I first installed this rom: http://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-a806-multi-lang-1501_7-80-1_dev/
And everything worked correctly except that sometimes certain applications crash.
After i decided to try out another rom: http://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-a806-miui-v6-13-language/
The second rom was working correctly but there was one problem.. The sim card was not being read.
After i had this problem i decided to go back and install the first working rom (the A806 multi lang rom) but the sim card issue still remained.
Please Help !
P.s My phone is Lenovo A806 and i reside in europe. I tried searching for the stock rom of this phone but i cannot find the stock emea rom whcih works in europe.
When you flashed one of the ROMs, your NVRam was deleted or destroyed.
You can fix this with nvram tools. Just the IMEI is missing. After entering the IMEI everything is fine again.

Hi, I just read about NVram took and it only restores backed up IMEI numbers. I did not do a backup. My problem is listed below. Please help.
I bought a new Lenovo A806 (version android 4.4.2 - build VIBEUI_1432_ST_A806).
There were lots of Chinese writings imbedded in the rom and apps so I rooted the phone and tried to disable some apps and stupidly removed the stock phone dialer and contacts. Then whatever replacement app I tried from the Google play store did not work.
The replacement dialer gives me the message:- “You have removed/disabled Stock phone application, its required to properly functionality.” (pardon the Chinese English)
The phone cannot read the sim card and the IMEI number has disappeared. Following forum advice, I installed “mobileuncle” but cannot insert the IMEI number manually. When I go to Engineer mode, CDS information and try to go into Radio information, I get the message - “Unfortunately, Common Data Service has stopped.” So I cannot even go into Radio information.
I researched on the internet and tried to change the Rom. I installed the required version of TWRP recovery and after trying a few Roms, I managed to get Version VIBEUI_V2.0_1508_7.85.1_ST_A806 installed.
This version behaves better but still no IMEI number. Instead I get a different message – IMEI invalid.
When I try to call, I get this message: - “To place a call, first turn off Airplane mode”
But Airplane mode is off. But at least the dialer seems to be working and I am able to add contacts.
And I can get to radio information from mobileuncle with this version but when I type the IMEI number after the ST.., I get the message: “This command is not allowed in userbuild”
Even with a space between the ST and +, it still does not work and I get a different message, “at command is failed to send” I even rebooted after inserting the IMEI number and still no joy.
However, the wifi seems to be working on both above version and this.
I have a backup of the original corrupted rom so if anyone has a solution for either one, please help.
I installed the rom’s through TWRP recovery which is on my phone. I press volume and on/off buttons to enter into this.
I tried the NVram
Hey, I had the same issue a while back, it's actually easy.
Get imei.exe
Save it to this path: Windows C/Users/HP*
then open cmd, windows+R then type cmd
Type imei.exe followed by the imei
It'll generate a file, mpob format
Cut it from the path you pasted imei.exe
Paste it on your phone.
Get a file explorer that can access the root of the phone after granting root access.
Once you can access /device, go to this path /device/data/nvram/md5/Nvram_Imei
Then paste the mpob file there. If there's an existing one, delete it and rename the one you pasted as MPOB_001. You should only have one MPOB file there.
Now reboot.

[help] network problem - imei Matter - imei NG

Hi
So I bought this phone used.
I put sim card .. the phone shows the Carrier, even shows the APN settings . But I can't make calls (emergency calls only)
The imie of the device found on back is For Factory Unlocked 928A and I contacted ATT and confirm it's unlocked.
The Problem is : when you dial *# 06 # the phone shows a different imei number. And this particular number when looked up doesn't belong to any device on Earth. Using imei checker. And when going to service mode it shows imei: NG
So.
The first step on solution is to restore the original imei number that belongs to the device . That's logic right ?
How can I?
What about efs partition ?
I am on latest Nougat. Can't downgrade to 5.1.1 to root and try to change imei or restore efs
Trying downgrade in Odin give FAIL lol
What to do ? Excuse my English.

[resolved]Missing IMEI number of Second SIM slot

Hello all
I'm using a Redmi Note 8 pro with the latest Android 10 update.
I was having network issues so I entered into test mode and just ran ping test a couple of times.
Then the page said that in order to change the settings you must reboot and I did. After that my phone stopped showing the second SIM card.
I went to test mode again but phone information 2 was missing.
I checked my IMEI number from the dialer by entering *#06#
I can see only one IMEI number being displayed, the IMEI number of the second SIM slot is missing.
I tried to input it manually using MTK Enginner mode but the CDS information option under connectivity settings is missing.
I've not rooted the phone or ever unlocked the bootloader
Below are a few screenshots.
I'm in a very terrible condition as service centres near me are all closed due to Covid 19 lockdown
Can anyone help me out regarding this problem and tell me a fix ???

A factory data reset did the job and the phone now shows both SIM cards.
Everything running perfect now
