Have to use the application called as Quik.... and import those motion/Live pictures... ( have to disable extra music / effects ) to get the original format...
anyway... its a set back... but achievable alternate till Huawei figures out an inbuilt option to export directly as mp4/gif like samsung...

Hi there. I tried disabling the effects but I there is no option in quik. You can disable the music but not the effect. Does anyone else know another way to convert moving photos to gifs or videos?

Better Recoding Video Quality with XPERIA CAMERA

Hi brothers, now I wrtie to ask if somebody knows where is the register entry for the xperia camera, I think i found it but it won't show all the entries that the HTC cameras show. The HTC cameras registry entries has all detailed on different folders like JPEG settings, medium quality video, high qualitity video, and stuff like that.
Well, I think that I have the solution for the bad quality video of the xperia when you shake o move your phone, I think you know that I mean. You see always pixelation, and that have various reasons. One is that the video format is very bad quality for, it's only 3GP and we don't have a choice like other HTC Cameras when you have MP4, CIF and other formats. Other reason is the video's bitrate and THIS is our solution.
If we can turn up the bitrate of course we'll have better quality in the videos and we can see especialy an improment in scenarios like sports when we have to move the phone very much. Of course, that bitrate increment become the video more heavy but that's something we have to deal with because the quality worth it.
Other solution is find a way to change the video format to H264 or MP4 and combine the bitrate idea with this video format too.
I have been making some experiments but no luck yet. Any ideas?
Nobody?
I'm sure that somebody can post one good idea. Come on people, you guys make the best HTC's roms and more, I don't think you have no idea about solving this. Somebody?
I think its Sony+HTC problem, not something that belongs to here ...
just like u can't have smile shutter, same ways, u can't change recording format ... may be some time in future, Sony might add support for h264 recording in firmwares, just like they added auto flash and geotag in leaked R3AA/R4AA rom.
Thanks for the reply
Thnaks for the answer! You are totally right in every point BUT I think that waiting is not an option for me because I bought the Xperia almost replacing my HTC TyTN + Sony Camera. I like to record almost all the concerts I go and the Xperia is the right option if we can make some camera improvements. I think if someone give me the xperia camera source code I can do everything by myself, or at least that is that I have in mind
Even, I think we can make a few changes for the camera to allow to zoom when recording video (if somebody haven't done it yet..).
In other hand, where can I find the R4AA rom? I didn't know that was already out. Again, thanks for the reply!

there is no r4aa. he was refering to unknown sourced leaked camera app with geotagging and auto flash, which supposed to be present in r3aa, but never was actually.
zoom facility in the video recording of the xperia is a very welcome step...hope somebody smart enough in the xda forum look forward to it...
I think it could be done, because the camera app uses a system file to access the camera, then it uses a video or picture encoder to produce a picture or a video. If somebody change the encoder and set the new parameters or settings into the camera app i think that it will work.
Exactly
And I'm your men, I wanna do that, but I have to view the source code or something. Where can I find it? Anyone on this forum can give me a hand to start working? Thanks!
I think that the better way is create a new camera app and add lots of features and then sell the app to a company like spb.

[Q] How do you export the slow motion video?

I've captured some slow motion video on the G3, but when I try to export it anywhere, or play it in another player it just speeds up to normal speed.
Surely this can't be right. It should save the video to be played exactly how you see it in the native player on any other device.
Does anybody know how to get it to stay as slow motion even after you've exported it, or save it as seen in slow motion?
To let you know I have done a search for this issue within xda, and it doesn't show any related threads. Has nobody experienced this issue?

Hi,
Your Video is fine. Just use a Player like VLC and reduce the playback speed.
Thats how slomo works!
Check

Thanks, I thought it would be better if it actually slowed the footage down as a saved file (like on the Xperia Z2), then at least you could post it to a shared website and show off your creation. Is there no way to do that?

Check the PlayStore - there must be an app for that Good Luck! If you find something, share it!
The HTC One (M8), Sony Z2 and iPhones have a video editor that can slow down parts of a slow motion video, while keeping the rest of it at normal speed.
Has anybody found a similar app on the Play Store?
Or even, has anybody managed to make the Sony or HTC app work on other devices like the G3?
EDIT: The Sony Z2 app is called "Timeshift Video".
Im looking for this too.
Its crazy - shows slowmo video in gallery app - but with normal speed in Photos app
What are you guys taking slow motion video of anyway bouncy boobs lol
It doesn't matter what you take a slomo video of, the point is that the phone doesn't let you save the movie in a way that can be played in other devices. Surely it should do that.
I've seen a few slomo videos on YouTube made on the LG G3, how have they done that, if you can't actually save the video as the slowmotion version?
Surely, you'd want to show off various or interesting slomo videos to friends and family, so there must be a way to do it. I've looked for an app, but surely it should be native on the phone?
e.g. on my old HTC EVO 3D, the 3d videos were stored as 3D to see on a 3D TV for example if saved on a USB. Surely if you save the SloMo video to a USB you should be able to see the video in its slow version on a TV. Is this something that LG overlooked, or is there something that we're all missing on the phone?
The recorded video file is ~120 fps:
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 119.659 fps
Minimum frame rate : 116.732 fps
Maximum frame rate : 122.783 fps
To see it in slow motion you would have to set it as 30 fps on a computer and save it again. No need to recompress it or anything (so no quality drop at all) but you need this extra step to play it back on a device where you cannot manually slow it down.

Thanks for that info, I wish thought that the phone natively did that, so there was no need for that extra step, I think LG are missing a trick there.

The most simple way I know is to use mkvtoolnix (free, open source and works on windows/linux/mac)
Open the GUI, drag or add the file you want to work on, select the video track, go to format specific options and select your desired fps. Then press "start muxing".
Screenshot - sorry, can't post direct links yet so please remove the spaces:

Thanks; upgraded from 6.2 to 7.1 and mixed away. Video worked well but audio didn't seem to work out well
When I shot something in slomo on my Galaxy S4 the resulting video was slomo in all viewing apps or when uploade to facebook or youtube. only being able to view it in slomo in the LG gallery app is dumb. As much as they advertise the G3 as a great photo device the camera app actually sucks balls. Samsungs camera app is light years better and IOSs blows them both out. It still baffles me that android has no tap exposure and lock capability....
Is there an app that will save the lg g3 recorded slow mo videos and directly share them so everyone can see the videos in slow mo?
When uploading videos in youtube you get an option to increase or decrease default video playback speed.

I use an app called Lapse it Pro to import the file then render and save it at 20fps. After rendering..I'm able to share it as a video file

[Q] how to export slow mo video? instagram, social media. etc etc

Hello xda!
Just picked up an lg g3. Shot some slow mo video, but cant seem to get it to upload in slow mo. The quality is also jaggedy on my end.
Did a quick google search and couldn't find anything. The only way to get slow mo to play is in the default gallery app.
I know with samsung and apple they have default editors, but it seems like lg dropped the ball on this one... Unless im missing something? I would like to avoid having to upload to a third party video editor.
Thanks for any advice!

slowmo video is normal video that is recorded at a higher frame rate and then slowed down you can't upload it because most sites have max frame rate count or they just play it in normal speed. the quality is because some apps use data compression to not overload there servers unfortunately that breaks quality

[Q] Video editing?

Hey I would love some help I am trying to make for friends birthday. I started to use Samsungs video editor that comes with the note 10.1 2014 however it doesn't recognise the picture format from my s5. Strange I now. I need software that can add pictures video clips and some music etc over the top. Can anyone recommend any apps that can do this or a way to fix the problem I have with the current software not recognising the pictures from my s5? Many thanks in advance
helloo
for video editing as tittle say... there are two : PowerDirector and VideoPad.
but, reading you request....hmmmm.... there are many others apps that can do less than PowerDirector and videoPad, and can do exactly what your are asking for... just mix some pictures and audio: Magisto, VideoShowPro, Animoto Video Maker or KlipMix...
Have you tried WeVideo?
Sent from my Note 3 via the Interwebs.
I'm currently using vivavideo but it's just not cutting the mustard. I liked using the Samsung app but it just doesn't recognise any pictures from my s5
I think VivaVideo is good video editing app which you must consider for sure with it. But well you should not expect professional level of video editing with mere Android app.

Front Video Camera image mirrors

I have a weird problem...while I shot video with front camera ...the video flips(mirrors) after saving....I find nothing in settings to correct it?
Any ways to fix it?Also tell you are experiencing this problem or not?
N B-there is an option in settings and I am fully aware of ...but that only flips the mirrored front cam image..that does not correct the video file..
That's not a weird problem, that is normal. Most phones do that.
The video does not flip after you save it , it's the opposite: The video is mirrored when you are looking at the live image while recording. This is made on purpose, and the reason is that our brains are used to see ourselves in the mirror.
See attachment. This flips your videos and photos after saving. Just enable or disable it how you like it.
