Brazilian Galaxy S with Digital TV Root and Mod

Hello everyone!
I'm from brazil and our Galaxy S comes with built in 1seg digital TV (it even has an antenna), and I got mine today. Seems a root isn't available yet, so if anyone need me to dump anything or anything else so we can make this work, fire away!

Have you tried any of the available methods of root? But first make sure your phone can go into download mode in case anything goes wrong. I'd like to see a picture of this Galaxy S with a TV antenna. Sounds pretty cool

It's been rooted, check the forum.

Did it today using the forum's tutorial.
Has anyone installed ROM's on the i9000B?!

Ok, phone sucessfully rooted! now, anyone done any of the most popular hacks? Like the lagfix one? Seems mine doesnt have enough space on /system/ for ryanza's one

The big question is : Will be Brazilian GS upgraded to Froyo ? Its the only Galaxy with tv ...
Does it suffer the lag issue ? The gps is good ?

I have applied Ryanza's Lag Fix and Market Access, but I'm still an Android novice. No problems whatsoever with Ryanza's, my Galaxy S is the Brazilian model, unlocked and unbranded.

Mine already came with Gmail and Google Talk (haven't tried it yet), or are we talking about different applications? By the way, mine is unbranded.

How do I know if my phone suffers from the lag issue? I applied Ryanza's fix but to be honest I didn't notice much difference.
I think my GPS reception is poor. But I had previous phone models which didn't have good GPS reception themselves (Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Vivaz) so I don't really know.

I'd love if someone can dump this firmware.
I'm looking at swype and the modem.

i don´t know what the problem with brazilian SGS, works perfect to me with root, lagfix, we don´t have roms just it, you can use froyo beta but you need a way to extract apk of digital tv and swype language module (pt-br) just it, and we will have a galaxy like any other

Well I had to xchange my galaxy s for another because I semi bricked it LOL so before I did, I tested the froyo beta firmwares and on all of them the touchscreen didn't work. maybe our kernel is different somehow?
Seems we will have to wait for an official I9000B firmware?
Also, my galaxy didn't come with google apps, I got samsung email and some customized gmail application and some claro ****. Where can I get the regular gmail or another as good email client? Or even better how can I completely unbrand the phone and leave it like the one bought outside carriers?

a lot of peoples use rooted SGS of claro in the orkut community of SGS, try this update.zip man

Now that we have paid apps in Market I cant see why to root . Anyway, I was not accepted in the orkut community . I am working on it right now to figure out what happened .
My big concern is : will be there Froyo for us ?

Our cell phones have a TV antenna and a digital receptor.
I´ve instaled clockwork and backuped my phone.
These files will help someone in xtracting swype language and TV app?

Samsung released an oficial Froyo update today.

I've searched and tried anything but am still stuck.
I really, really, really want "MagicSmokeLiveWallpaper" (you know, this niiiice plasmaeffect that doesn't eat much CPU)
I guess it was from Samsung Galaxy S, at least i got it with this one.
I already tried some APKs i've found around the net but none will install.
I'm not an androidfreak, just an average user.
Anyone got a tip for me? Phone's rooted etc.

Hello guys i bought my note 2 less than a week ago i got the iternational version i love this phone but the only thing that is missing is thst i wanna know how to add more apps to the multitask window.. i know you need to root it but i wanna know a few things.. i have another language on this phone. will it delete it? And how complicated is it exactly.. id appreciate it if you could give me a step by step how to root and enable all the apps

First of all update your phone. Second what second language are you talking about. If it was pre installed then you won't loose it.
Rooting won't affect them as long as they were pre installed.

where do we get the latest Gapps? :/ i cant find them anywhere on the site and when i go on the official 10.1 cyanogenmod nightly thread it is an outdated copy of the Gapps ... im looking at going from Project-M 1.1 to Msnapshot of the latest CM 10.1 thanks!

Guess what sherlock, google is indeed your friend.
If you search for "gapps" in google, you get the website you want in the first result, so you just got to be joking.
You pretty much sum it up: some people are just too lazy to use the resources around them and prefer to have things come to them served on a plate. Breathe in breathe out.

see actually i searched Gapps cm10 4.2.2 which is what i was looking for (as i heard incompatible issues) but all that came up was 4.1.2 ?!?! thats why i asked here ...

If you were searching for CM10 then that is 4.1. CM10.1 is 4.2

Lags and slow processing on Sm T111 tablet

Hi, I have the tablet that you read in subject for about one year, but recently I've been noticing many lags and stopping especially if you use Facebook and Maps apps.
Tablet has 4.2.2 firmware stock ("XXUAOC2") O.S. latest version.
I need suggestions about to make more performed the tablet.
Anyone suggestion is well accepted like changing roms, etc.
I'm not looking for upgrading at latest versions of O.S. but I'm just looking for to make my tablet more usable to zoom in-out the map on Maps for example..[emoji20]

I've read the thread that you suggested me but it's sound like a Rom for only wifi tablet.
For 3G tablet the op has suggested the stock rom to enable that feature..

i have requested that op to help sm t111 users like us to help, cause that rom doent support 3g functions but........
