indian vs hong Kong differences between LG G7 Plus - LMG710EAW - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Are there any hardware differences? Can we cross flash HK with Indian firmware?
On Lg firmwares I see that the indian firmware has newer security patches...

Just installed Indian v10p but in software version it says v10p-LAO-Si.
What this LAO-SI means?

Another thing I observe is that this firmware is WAAAAY more snappy than the chinese one! Could the hong kong chinese firmware has some kind of spyware in it? Just cannot beleive how snappy and fluid this firmware is compared to the chinese one !!!!!!!!!

did you manage to anwser this questions??
is everything working ok with this indian firmware? i want to make the flash

Just upgraded a few days back to indian v10t feb 1 updates. Working flawless. Also they enabled usbc to hdmi. ?

I always expect China and rusian firmware to be full of spyware.

[Q] I have UK G3, but EU Rom, Advice?

Hi all
Ide like some advice..
I bought my G£ (D855 International) in Carphone Warehouse, which means its factory unlocked. I updated it to the latest 5.0 (20h) OTA.
When I go into About Phone > Software. Ive noticed that my G3 is running V20h-EUR-XX, yet Ive noticed that, in the stock rom thread on here there is a 20h UK rom.
Im just curious to know why my G3 installed the EUR rom not the UK, also Ive noticed that the word "alleh G" isnt anywhere on my device. I realise there are different models and patents change depending on countries and territories, but could i install the UK rom or should i stick to EUR.
Any Info would be nice.. Thanks
EUR and UK rom are the same. Even if you flashed the v20h UK rom it will still say v20H-EUR-XX
Alleh G is the Korean edition with the 3GB ram

Many Thanks for solving my curiosity ... Interesting. about UK rom, So I take it then the 20h UK, matches the EUR device...
I remember from my Sammy days and ODIN that In situations like this, Its usually the Radios that differ.. Oh well, saved me a flash and restore..
Radios only differ between continents and even then if you flashed a firmware from somewhere say Taiwan it would still work normally on your phone. But as to the stabling of it I don't know. I flashed a Taiwan firmware on my Australian G3 and I found that performance and battery life were significantly worse

What version of LG G7 should i buy for UK?

thanks
bump
You need european version, so G710EM (64GB) or G710EAW (128GB)
i get that i need the european version but the american handsets will work too and i've been told to avoid the Tmobile version at all costs.
i just needed to now which is the best variant from the american/canadian ones!
cheers
Canadian AWM version. Support more lte band (for UK and Europe) then USA unlocked ULM
thanks siley
only g710EM
now im confused???
Get the 710em that's what I got when I brought mine worked fine
I told him EM or EAW is best for Europe, but he want model from America so Canadian AWM is better.
I got the LM-G710EM version

I think is a crossflashed device. Mine is EM too, but came with open EU rom and it is a TIM device (italian carrier). Amazon things...
U can flash any firmw u want with lg_up 14-15, but with no ota support due to restrictions. U can always search ur region with ur imei in internet after a simple search on google, but if the device is from carrier... I recommend u a clean open eu kdz over any carrier firmware.

Thanks for the reply. We have version n9700, is it possible to play sw on another? Maybe Australia? USA? We have a snapdragon. But we have other frequencies. I understand I should have bought a better model ? but it was cheap. Here in the Czech Republic is Note with exynos and I don't want exynos.

Question OnePlus 11 Various Models

Hi,
I have tried looking on OnePlus official site and googling but im coming up with very limited info. Im in the UK and want a UK version with a global ROM.
I have seen that there is the CPH2449 is apparently the official UK version but also that PHB110 can work in the UK as it has global rom.
My question is, does anybody know or is there anywhere i can check the differences in models ?
Both the CPH2449 and PHB110 apparently come with the global rom so what's the real difference ? OnePlus recommend the CPH2449 variant but i can find the other much cheaper.
Cph2449 is global/eu and the PHB110 china model what have Stock cos installed and can flash to oos and have than no longer ander the PHB110 in the phone info than when you flash the global rom/eu rom than have it the cph2449 in the phone info

Just wondering as I notice India receives the updates alot quicker than the UK ROM, would the call block still apply even if a call is first made using UK ROM and then after install?

If you buy the China model, you must first activate it if it is not already activated, otherwise you will have a call block on the China model because it is used outside of China

Ok thanks for the reply and information.
You can buy it much cheaper and then:
Deal with call restrictions
Deal with bricking your device
Deal with losing both your IMEIs
All three are down to changing your ROM. I'm just astounded that you, as a UK citizen, are trying to save what amounts to two maybe three tickets to the cinema.
Good luck.

Im not bothered if i have to spend a little more, i simply did not know the difference, didnt realise all of the restrictions etc. The seller was telling me it will work fine in the UK and its cheaper. It would be silly not to look it up or ask.
PHB110: China
CPH2447: India
CPH2449_EEA: EU
CPH2449_GLO: International
CPH2451: North America
