I need to replace the IR led since the current one is broken? Does anybody know which one is used?
Thanks

I've come up with a stupid plan to turn a BA (an old one, bought for spare parts) into a touchscreen remote controller. The problem is, to make it worthwhile I'd need to boost the IR range by a good 3-4m (9-12ft).
Hopefully something like replacing a resistor and/or the IR LED could do the trick.
Anyone got any ideas?
The IR range on BA is really really short! I have tried that, it is not worth to use it as remote control unless you can boost the IR range.
Only thing I've ever seen was someone use a lense to focus the beam. Ugly, but it worked.

use something that has CIR..
HP ipaq 3970, 5450 or 2210.
This have commercial IR modules that can go up to 5m range.

Hi!
Does anybody know what the green thing on the picture is?
Im thinking of integrating induction charging in my Xperia S. But I was wondering what that green part is, maybe NFC, and will the induction make the NFC to not work then?
I found the picture here
Has anyone managed to get this toy to work as a IR blaster? I compared the circuit layout to the IR Droid dongle and its actually very similar. So I dont see a hardware reason for it not to work. But none of the lirc codesets I import into IR droid seem to work. :S
Anyone else had any success?
Anyone please help me I want to know whether ir blaster works?

Nope.
Why do you ask? Does your GN have an IR port?
No lol galaxy nexus doesn't even have an ir blaster AFAIK. Just kitkat supports it. You need the actual infrared hardware inside the phone which it does not have, to my knowledge

LOL
Maybe there's a hack to use a IR blaster w/the micro USB port.
Maybe if you'd put a IR filter over the camera's flash and send a modulated signal through it. But I don't think there's an API to give you that kind of control over the flash. Better plug a pair of TSOP1738 in the audio jack and hope that it will work correctly all the time.
If you'll do some research on this please report back the results.
Have a nice weekend!
1-st problem, at some point tablet stopped charging. Looks like it's mainboard, since I disassembled everything, replaced battery, etc..
I bought on e-bay replaceable motherboard. But this one was T705. As I knew they are fully compatible. Tab is working, charging, but with this MB my mic and ambient light sensor are not working. Light is not important, but microphone is.
What it can be? HW incompatibility? Can it be healed by some FW or I need to find mic, speakers assembly specifically for 705?
Hmm, looks like problem solved? For 705 mice is different?
