[Q] How to install miui 6 on my redmi1s with cm12 installed currently

hi all, I have a redmi 1s and is currently running on cm12 (previously installed os was cm11)
I want to install miui 6 on my redmi 1s (the one available on official website)
so my question is can I do it (since few months ago, I couldn't install miui 5 - back then miui 6 wasn't released - after installing cm11)
can I install miui 6 at all over my cm12... Or it will brick my device
and if I can, can I flash it by twrp and if so then how (what to wipe)
or I have to flash it via stock recovery.
or should I flash it via Mi PC Manager (as it says on website)

You have to wipe/factory reset and clear everything
and u can install it via and twrp dont forget to wipe caches before and after installing
U can flash via miphone manager and u dont have to do first step as it will ease everything inchluding twrp by default except storage
And do some experimenting and read guides by google and watch youtube and trust me you will never ask any question regarding flashing roms
Tip:if twrp shows fail while installing restart recovery and do it again (i dont know why it fails sometimes)

Redmi Note 5 Pro only boot on EDL mode

Hello everyone and thank you in advance for the answers you can give me. I explain my problem I have the Redmi Note 5 Pro and I had unlocked the Bootloader to install a Custom ROM and evade the phone lock by the MI account, I had MIUI 10 V10.3.1.0 OEIMIXM and I was going to Install Havoc OS v2.7 when flashing the ROM by TWRP gave me error saying that I have to have the most recent version of MIUI installed (V10.3.1.0 PEIMIXM) and I in the SD had an update.zip of the PEIMIXM version my error was that I did flash to that update.zip with TWRP now the phone does not turn on neither in Fastboot nor Recovery only in EDL. Any way to recover it? Thanks

first i am having miui 11 and i unlocked bootloader after unlocking bootloader i install twrp and i was successfully installed then i install miui 12 20.4.27 beta rom , then rom was successfully installed on my phone by twrp was removed now i try many times to install many time to install twrp on my phone it can install on my laptop is shows sending recovery done
now plzz give me twrp file for my phone redmi note 8 pro miui12 20.4.27 beta android 10 plzz help me

Twrp recovery gets removed whenever i get to the home screen.

Device: REDMI NOTE 5 PRO
MIUI VERSION: MIUI GLOBAL 11.0.3 | stable 11.0.3.0 (PEIMIXM)
I am on stock ROM
Installing TWRP but it is not sticking, whenever the device reboots device comes back its own stock recovery.
What to do to have twrp recovery forever.?

Bro i will recommend u to use Orange fox recovery as it has aggressive stock recovery prevention

When you first boot to twrp flash magisk then, it will not be removed

U can either flash orangefox(recommended) or if u still wanna use twrp flash magisk and lazyflasher after installation

No Sound after TWRP flash RN8PRO

I flashed TWRP-3.3.1-110 Redmi Note 8 Pro Technology Vikram, install seemed ok, I can boot to recovery. Once phone is booted to system there is no sound/audio on phone is there a way to fix it?
Miui Global 10.4,3.1 Android version 9 (pgginxm) ppr1 180610.011

It happened to me too.
I flashed an full fastboot rom to the device (without wiping user data) and it fixed the issue for me.

Thanks for the reply, what worked for me was was to use LR Team Twrp 3.3.1- 0924 install root from recovery which installs Magisk 19.4 (any newer versions of Magisk would break the sound completely) This is on Miui Global 10.4.0 PGGINXM. Hope this helps somebody, 2 fixes to choose from now.
