Does anyone know if there is a Gingerbread rom for the Epic that supports audio out with the official car dock? I have tried the CM rom with and without the SGS Dock Audio Fix, but it did not work. This is the single issue that is keeping me on Froyo roms right now! Hahaha.
Hello devs. Is anyone aware of any third-party or alternative IR blaster apps for the Xperia ZL? I've been looking for an alternative to the stock remote app, and tested a few third-party solutions like TouchSquid, to no success.
I would like to be able to use the IR blaster with a custom ROM like CyanogenMod, but it's clear that simply installing the stock app won't work because it requires the Sony framework. CyanogenMod is reportedly working on IR blaster support, but I've no idea when that'll be available.
Any ideas?

+1 on this.
I've searched as well and haven't had any luck.
My main gripe is being unable to make a shortcut to the macro's in the sony IR app.
Touchsquid home works well..the only drawback is that it although it automatically adds the remotes configured by the user in the stock remote control app, manually adding the remote by searching the device, brand, different remote control types,etc,etc....can be very challenging ......also the UI of the app takes time to get used to and know how to use it.Also sometimes if u face the no response from your device issue while controlling it from touchsquid,I found a workaround for this,
I.e. -->firstly open the stock remote control app & add the remote according to your device,
-->minimize it (don't close)
-->now (most important step) while opening touchsquid app, cover the IR blaster with your hand
-->then switch on your device with any remote of your device(although it can be done with the stock app,but this is if u face the "no response" thingy )
-->now u can operate ur device
I know that the above steps sound very silly, but I could only make it work ,that way
Also if you want other apps, try dijit app from playstore it's quite a good app with a nice, clean UI
If you feel that I've helped you in anyway, please hit the thank button

Thanks for the response. However, the Touchsquid app cannot work in custom roms because of what you stated -- it requires the stock IR remote app to configure, which does not work in custom roms.
Dijit does not work with the ZL, and requires an external bluetooth IR device, which completely defeats the purpose.
ive seen some ir remote apps in htc one apps section ...give those a try and see .
Can anyone help me out.
Can't find the audio mod for OxygenOS.
Viper or Dolby atmos. One that's good for headphones.
Cheers
Try divine beats by the royal seeker.
I use it.
Or use Neutron player or black player EX apps they have good audio processing...!
Divine beats and Viper4Android (ViPER4Android_FX_v2401_A4.x-A6.x.apk) does not work on OnePlus 3 yet. V4A drivers can be installed but will not initialize (OxygenOS v3.2.4)
My Collective Dolby Atmos ports works for OP3. I think the only one that doesn't is the Axon 7 Atmos port.
Just because they aren't in this forum doesn't mean they don't work. Check the Software Development forums.
As for installing V4A and driver, the above poster is wrong. It works. Unfortunately OnePlus released a bugged Vendor audio_effects.conf file so installing V4A won't work out of the box. You need to go to System/etc/audio_effects.conf and copy it to Vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf and replace. When you do this you can install simple stuff like Dolby Atmos or V4A without having to install Arise to get good audio.

Hey, are you talking **** right now?
I have tried it with V4A, replaced the audio_effect.conf as you mentioned, but the issue is the same. There is no app which is capable of utilizing V4A as MusicFX plugin on OP3 currently (OxygenOS v3.2.6), actually the stock MusixFX shows up if you are calling MusixFX from PowerAmp or SoundWire (or other musicfx compatible app). Even tried compatible mode in V4A (with restart), got the same result. Normally V4A would replace native MusicFX, this is clearly not the case. So yeah, I can install it, but cannot use it. No step forward was made.
I have used the latest available V4A version.
Can you elaborate how did you actually made it?
Please provide exact versions and clear steps, also sources for downloads, so anyone could reproduce what you have acheived.

Flashing Arise Sound Leviticus 1.3 has always worked perfectly for me

I've already said how to do it. Sources? Well I develop for Android and reverse engineer Android. I also happen to own this phone as my daily driver and also an HTC9/HTC10 among other devices.
Try with another player. Saying "it doesn't work" tells nobody anything that's useful. Give logs and info, not just vague "doesn't work". To my knowledge, Poweramp doesn't play well with other DSPs. Try another app for testing.
I've had the OP3 since it came out. Firstly, you need to completely disable MusicFX and make sure the "on" isn't checked. Secondly, V4A works with the method I had suggested and so does LeMax Atmos, Axon 7 Atmos does not work on OOS.
OP3 is my daily driver. You either take my expert advice or don't, but I hardly can call that"talking ****".

One of my conclusions were to set SElinux to permissive with the following command: 'setenforce permissive' using tasker at boot, and viola

The best advice we could ever get on XDA.
Anyway, this doesn't solve the issue, I had the same thing on Resurrection Remix and Lineage OS both on stock and GUYVER kernels.

Try a rom that isn't based on LOS...
Hiiiiiii, right just wanted to say that I've been having the same problem with my sennheisers and the best tom for Bluetooth in my experience is Xiaomi EU. Hope this helps
Don't block the line of sight from the phone to the headphones with any body part, then it should be better. It's a normal issue of bluetooth, depending on the built in Class of bluetooth hardware.
Hey,
I'm currently looking for a smartphone with long battery life and support of HQ sound (LDAC preferred).
I found some ROMs with Android 8.0 and I heard that this version of OS supports LDAC. Does it mean that when I install one of these ROMs, I will be able to use LDAC?

LDAC is included in AOSP since Oreo so you should be able to use it on every 8+ ROM until someone will remove it from his ROM. It is visible in my codec selection menu on LOS15.1 but I can't test it for you since I'm not in possession of any wireless headphones. I believe that you should look for information and how it works on other phones threads too, not only here. There is possibility that Lineage doesn't support this codec itself since stock haven't supported it but I'm not sure about that since LDAC is part of AOSP unlike AptX for example where your phone needs to be certified to allow developers to include this codec in official builds.
Basically you can add any existing bluetooth audio codec to your phone's ROM. There's not any hardware requirements besides bluetooth so I believe that you should be able to use it.
