Closed Beta for Android 4.4 + Emotion UI 2.3

Hey everyone,
I just receiveed an e-mail from Huawei saying that they are looking for 500 beta testers for Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion UI 2.3 on their Ascend P6. But since the mail was in German I am not sure if international devices are accepted, so just try for yourself.
Requirements:
Ascend P6 with B125 software
Enter name and IMEI at http://www.huaweidevices.de/beta-tester (the update will be delivered OTA)
Feedback can be supplied to [email protected]. Maybe there is also an English version of this beta. The official update should come early July 2014 (to Germany) and brings the following new features:
more filters for photos
watermark for photos
phone manager: improved performance, energy management & garbage collection
direct unlocking with the correct code (no need to press OK)
new lockscreen and online designs
That's everything I know, I hope you are looking forward to the update

Are they already rolling out the OTA ? I applied but I'm on B507

Not for me :sad: just downgraded all the way from Omni Rom for this :laughing:

Downgraded to b125. Registered already, it says: you will get the update shortly. See what happens.

I think we have to wait a few hours. But im sure, huawei blog will upload the beta firmware sonner or later

applied!! when you receive pls warn me!! i will do the downgrade then!

I hope this international beta will have the option to change the default storage to external sdcard. I'm missing this option at this time. Why only CN-rom have this option?

Question:
How can i downgrade from B507 to B125 without WINDOWS PC (I have Mac)

U have to download a separate downgrade file from Huawei ... install via stock recovery and then install b125... , it has been mentioned several times

As I think now, someone somewhere will capture the OTA and release it. And we will be able to install it through stock recovery or maybe even use EMUI's update option. No need to be on 125, it should work from any other version, just not with OTA.

I just signed up now too. Let's hope I get the ota!

Was not convinced reading this. Can someone please comment whether this is true or not? If issues like battery drain have not been fixed, i don't understand why it deserves the final release tag.

What does it mean "U00"?
Is this even compatible with U06, or is it the same thing only a different code?

I have the Beta and its U06. And according to Huawei Germany official KK comes when all bugs are fixed and that's not now, so I think a new Update will come soon, and there all bugs will be fixed and so on.

The rom for Germany released too right without any changes from beta ?

How to downgrade Firmware from B507 to B132 prior for the installation of B510? Thank you. Hope you can help me.

according to http://www.huaweiblog.de/firmware/h...pdate-b510-wird-offiziell-verteilt/#more-7036 there is a international release for the "new" B510..
maybe they start the OTA in the next few days/weeks..

[ROM][OTA][B172] Huawei Mate8 OTA Upgraded from B168 to B172

On the last day of Chinese Holidays, I got the OTA upgraded. I followed the instruction on stock forum and upgraded B172 successfully.
It's pretty simple. Hint is the sequence of pictures what I showed here.

Is the full version available to download anywhere? I have the Russian B172 but am looking for the Chinese B172.

Depends on country, theres also a 30F, check lg.firmware side with your imei

Right so both of the files, custom and official says it's corrupted.. Now why is that? There must be something wrong on my side here....

Hm try to change the name to update.zip and flash it again. It's the official 18s.

Official 18s with supersu?))))

Its because of only a handful ppl get the .18s on the x720 (x727 got delivered with .18s) and the only system dump I found was with supersu. I will write at the op that Supersu is included. Sry for the confusion.

I have tried the original name (doesn't find the upgrade button ofcourse) and the 'update' name... Like all of them, it starts up... aaaaaaaand it's corrupted

Today in OTA received update 18s!!! 204 megab. X720. Date of update -01 November 2016.

Awesome. I'm receiving it too. X720. I love this this phone.
One question: i cant connect my regular headphone with the adaptor. It doesn't read or detect that a headphone is attached. Has anyone experienced this too?
