You can not root Lollipop. You have to downgrade first on Kitkat, root it, and then flash some prerooted Lollipop rom.

If you install Lollipop KDZ you can't get root, so if you want root and lollipop you should root when on kitkat and then install a bumped lollipop ROM

If you don't mind me asking, how easy is it to get back to stock/unrooted on the G3?
I ask because I've had a number of devices over the years, and some have been a breeze to flash back to stock, like my Nexus 7's, and others have given me pain, like my two HTC devices. I'd want to go back to stop for OTA updates and whatnot.
Thanks!
It's not too difficult...

I didn't work, the process was smooth but no Super Su :crying:
You should be using method 2, and extracted the "New_LG_Root_v0.1_by_dig.zip" containing SuperSU.

Hello first of all I have never tried rooting/downgrading a device before. AFAIK there is no way to root my h818p v20h device running android 6.0 but is there any chance to downgrade it to lollipop and root?
of course, you can downgrade and flash a .img rooted.
