Hello my Mi max 3 is soft bricked. The bootloader is locked but currently i still have access to the fastboot option and currently when trying to unlock my bootloader i get error 'Current account not bound to device.' Obviously i cannot bound the device since i cannot access the settings menu.
If any suggestions at all i would appreciate the help as there are no Mi services in my country so i cant just bring it in for repair.
Thanks
Then boot up your phone, reset the phone (recovery) or flash firmware in EDL mode with erasing all data.
Cant see a problem here (because no more details given)

Hello community,
Recently my phone stuck in bootloop so to get through i tried all possible ways from mi forums, xda forums but none of them work. Problem is that my device have bootloader locked so not able to flash rom.
I asked them to provide permission to my mi account of unlocking bootloader but they are not providing it.
I am stuck from 2 days and have tried all methods, all roms, edl method etc but nothing works.
fastboot flash commands are not working. In EDL mode, I am able to flash anti roll back ROM but it doesn't work, still stuck in bootloop.
Does anyone can help me on this? I am not much professional in this section. I would be really appreciated, thank you
Same issue with me
Hi,
I am also same issue with my redmi note 5 pro.stuck in bootloop and bootloader is locked.please suggest any solution.
Thanks in adavnce.
Just to let you know, you don't need to request permission to unlock the bootloader anymore. Unless I was just very lucky. I did mine about 3 weeks ago all I had to do was link my phone number to my freshly made mi account, turn on oem unlock and debugging and then used the unlocking tool. All done within 15 mins.
Unless you've already selected oem unlock and debugging before you're boot loop started though I think you're out of luck
Hello, I have this problem, bricked and locked bootloader.
I can't unlock with MiUnlock tool because I can't access to seetings in the device.
The device is ever turning into recovery and they are a message in red that says ¨This MIUI version can't be installed on this device¨
Anybody knows a way to bypass the bootloader or unlock it in this terms?
try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-dev-mediatek-mtk-auth-bypass-sla-daa-utility.4232377/

I have solved it flashing a chinese rom instead global rom.
Good time of day!
I have the same problem… I mistakenly flashed the Mi flash firmware of my Rn8 Pro, with subsequent blocking (I forgot to check), which absolutely could not be done with a ROM phone from China. The phone went to bootlop. The following attempts to flash the phone with Mi flash end with a message that the phone has a blocked bootloader. SP flash flashes successfully, but the bootlop problem remains…Is there any solution to restore the phone..? Sincerely.
same issue.
Hi everybody,
I recently tried to downgrade from 12.5.5.0 to 12.0.2.0 recovery version.
It was not a good idea since phone does not start any more and has a black screen no matter what I do.
But it can access fastboot mode...
My question:
Its locked unfortunately and I cannot access it anymore since it does not boot.
Is it possible to flash ANY Rom to it?
I tried it with several ROMs but Miflash tool always blocks the procedure since phone is locked...
Is there a ROM for the Mi 11 Lite 4G that is accepted by the MiFlash tool in locked state?

The problem is not the ROM version to be accepted but your device itself, due to the locked status it refuses to accept any partition to be flashed.
This same principle doesn't matter in EDL mode, but XM11 (and most of, if not all, Xiaomi devices) require of an authorized account for Mi Flash tool.
If you at least did bind your Mi account and started the process to unlock bootloader, then you still can do this.
Did you fixed the problem? If yes, how?

@SubwayChamp already mentioned how one'd go about it:
- If the phone was bound to the owner's Mi account, starting a bootloader unlock process and if it is able to go forward, it could then be restored to a working state.
- Perhaps... sideloading a full recovery ROM if access to the stock recovery and Mi Assistant were an option, although just like with EDL, I'm guessing some sort of authorization takes place (it used to several years ago).
- Take the phone to a service center and plead one's case, they could be willing to flash the device with an official build, although if it were me I'd require proof of ownership at least.
- Resort to a 3rd party service / app that deals in auth. EDL flashes for money.
That's about it, these days there's not even a point in opening a device to access the test points.
Hello
I wanted to report something strange that happened today
2 weeks ago I buyed the Xiaomi pad 5 (nabu) to replace my mother's one (galaxy tab 3) getting very old anyway
After receiving it and setting it up I discovered that I wasn't able to install Netflix because the bootloader was unlocked
And the ROM installed was the golbal version
So the stuuuuuupid me just relocked the bootloader through fastboot and ended up with a bricked device unable to boot the system and rebooting to on recovery to say that's it can't boot on this miui version
Couldn't flash with mi flashtool can't unlock the bootloader as mi account wasn't binded on the tablet
The only solution I've found is to pay someone with edl authorised account to flash China ROM or unlock bootloader
After trying a bunch of softwares I decided to give up and wait to get payed so I can afford a service to unlock the tablet
Doing so I have let the tablet booted in fastboot (can't find a way to turn it off)
And miraculously today I have found the tablet booted in the system like nothing happend
All data where erased and frp lock was on i've set up the tablet binded mi account and now I have to wait for the 168h cool down to unlock
So was that a bug ? How did the tablet boot into the system with locked bootloader on global ROM ?
And why now it won't boot on system again ?
I think the original ROM was 13.0.5.0
But when it booted it was on version 13.0.3.0
What do you think about it ?
Sorry for that crappy English I'm french
Your english is quite good.
Not sure, but it probably decided it was somehow stuck and automatically rebooted to the other partition.
