A-Media Auto 1024x600 Sofia - MTCD Android Head Units General

Hello.
I bought a car and it came with an android head unit, but I don't know the model and didn't get a manual with it, from my understanding it's Joying or Erisin.
Are there any roms or mods for my unit?
What are the steps to install a reverse camera?
Does the unit have a fastboot option somewhere, now it takes 2 minutes to turn on every time I get in the car.
Thank you guys and sorry for my noob-nes.

Ok, I found out how to do most of the stuff on my unit, but the only problem I have now is that I can't go into recovery mode.
I tried holding the reset button for 20s and nothing happened, the screen went black and the touch screen buttons went dark and that's it.
If I hold the Power off button, the screen goes black but not the button lights.
I tried even combinations between then or the back button, but nothing.
Please help, if I can get to recovery mode I'll be the happiest man alive. ?

Three is a workaround based on using s USB keyboard.

This solution? Is this the only way to acces recovery?
I updated the MCU to the last one and then I tried to install magisk rom through settings, it recognized the file and went into recovery but it failed. So I was into recovery but I couldn't access the menu. It says use volume buttons but that didn't work, tried all the other buttons and reset button and didn't work.
1. Disconnected all power from the unit... ACC & BAT disconnected
2. Prepared 12V power supply with on negative and two positive connectors
3. Connected negative to GND & one positive to BAT
4. Connected USB keyboard
5. Press right ALT (ALT GR on some keyboards) and PrintScreen
6. Connected the other positive lead to ACC (unit does not work if both BAT and ACC are not connected)
6a. Start pressing repeatedly on E (not holding E pressed, but press...release... press... release..... rapidly)
7. The boot logo shows (MarshMallow...etc) and after a few seconds the unit reboots itself
8. Release right CTRL & PrintScreen and continue to repeatedly press on E.
9. The Recovery shows on screen.

Xdaii Upgrade Failed

Hi All,
I downloaded Xda_II_172181_Final.exe from the O2 download site and tried to upgrade my XDA II, about 45% into completion my laptop froze and the upgrade software terminated. Now cannot turn on or access my XDA II. Please help!
Many Thanks
Please can someone help me.

"1. Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:
DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton
After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.
2. Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.
Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".
3. Run HimaUpgradeUt_noid.exe
4. Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
5. Detach your device from the cradle.
6. Now you have to hardreset your device.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.

I think this is not the right method, this is for the wm5 bootloader 1.06. Hard resetting is just the power button and the reset button. there is no HimaUpgradeUt_noid.exe in the said installer. I have that installer too!
Hi guys,
Sucess at last!
I have managed to resolve the problem with my XDAII, by going into bootloader mode and re-running Xda_II_172181_Final.exe again. This file had the HimaUpgradeUt_noid.exe and all the other rom image files to do the job.
Many Thanks! - especially Rudegar for his help on.
buzzdev have HimaUpgradeUt_noid.exe
one can use the HimaUpgradeUt,exe too if
one have the same rcode as the rom
or want to do the changes manualy

Stuck at multi-media on-vehicle screen, can't get to recovery

I have a MTCB KGL that was running Android 4.2.2. I now flashed it to 4.4 with the Malaysk rom. The flash went ok (it said) but when it rebooted it was stuck at the first screen (kitkat logo shows, and 'multi-media on-vehicle is shown). I cannot get into recovery either, so I'm kind of stuck.
Is there some other way to reach recovery, besides trying all methods described below?
1 Press reset button and power button together
2 After about 5 secs release reset button, but keep pressing power button
3 When booting screen appears release power button.
4 It boots into recovery.
--Update 1-- some units without front USB have a different procedure
Firstly power on the unit and then long press the power button and then reset. Then the unit will get three rings and you loose your hand on the power button and short press the power button again. (thanx @netay)
--Update 2-- some others have this procedure (thanx @R4D3N)
1. Turn off the unit by holding 3-4 sec the power button.
2. Hold the RESET button + POWER button for 5 sec
3. Release the RESET button and keep pressing the POWER button for 2 sec
4. Release the POWER button and wait. The Recovery menu appears.
5. With the Volume knob you can move up/down and long press on Volume/Power button to select the option.

Do you have a hardware power button. I have kgl unit with hardware button and i can enter recovery by switching unit off then switching on by pressing and holding the power button for 10 - 15 seconds till the unit lights flash. Release button and unit boots into recovery.
Did you follow the update instructions exactly including wiping data before and after install from the recovery menu.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes, there is a hardware power button. I used it with the reset button before to get into recovery. But now it just hangs on the first screen. None of the 'known' methods of getting to recovery seem to work.
The power button works though. I can switch the device on/off, but that's about it.
I did follow the instructions correctly. I was not able to wipe data after the install because the device rebooted automatically after flashing, and then got stuck.

Bricked Head Unit RK3188 - Please Help

I recently upgraded to the eonon GA6151 and was trying to flash update_RK3188_1024x600.img " booroondook RK3188" , well I renamed the file wrong to dupate.img instead of update.img I started flashing it and it was too late before I realized. Now the unit will not boot up or go to recovery. I can reset it and see the buttons flash like it wants to go to recovery but nothing ever appears on the screen. Is there a way to adb into this unit? Can I put files on a card and have it auto install them? Any help would be appreciated.
FIXED IT!!
I fixed it using this method. I realized after the fact that this new unit is MTCD not MTCB.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67184851&postcount=50
I then had the error
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67309331&postcount=116
Which I fixed doing this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67598154&postcount=319
I used the dupdate from here.
http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/MTCD Custom ROMS - NOT FOR MTC-/RK3188/2017.02.21/
I loaded it onto the sdcard and the usb drive , the sdcard was created using upgrade disk tool and has to be 16gb or smaller fat 32. The usb drive just had a copy of the dupate.img file on the root of it.
To get into recovery on this unit do the below. http://www.eonon.com/Android-Car-GPS/Vehicle-Specific-GPS/GA6151.html
Press and Hold HOME AND POWER buttons
Press RESET while still holding HOME AND POWER
Let go of HOME AND POWER and then press HOME AND POWER down again and hold until the lights flash 3 times " is about 10 seconds to hold them "
Now Let Go of the HOME button then the POWER button the press the POWER button once "do not hold" and wait for it to boot into recovery.
This is the only method I found that reliably will get you into recovery. Make sure you use the GPS slot for any sd stuff you need to do in recovery.
Did you have to take the unit out of the car? I’ve made the bootable SD but nothing is happening.

How to enter in recovery or Odin mode without power button (broken)

Hi everyone, I have an IMPOSSIBLE MISSION to propose!
I have an old T705 LTE tab with the broken motherboard, I found very little a wifi T701 model card sold for inoperative, it actually works or better has the POWER ON BUTTON broken, missing and it is impossible to replace because the part is was damaged !!
After so many research I managed to figure out how to turn it on (disconnecting and recharging the battery quickly !!!!)
It lights up and works and here begins the problem and the mission is impossible to unlock it and make the WIPE !!
The s tab is switched on with fingerprint or backup password !!
The English ebay user who sold the card did not know the password was actually amazed at how she managed to make it resuscitated.
What I would like to do is ENTER in RECOVERY or ODIN mode to format it, but how do I do without the power button?
I tried:
1) With ADB commands but the tab does not have active usb debugging and can not activate it because it does not enter the settings (tab with locked screen!)
2) Enter recovery or Odin mode, but also doing the task remove and put battery + vol on or vol down + home does not enter the desired mode, it normally starts. Most likely, you need the POWER key.
3) I tried with kies and Smart Switch but also tells you to reset it, now go into download mode with the vol keys down + power + home.
4) I tried turning it off to connect it to the pc hoping Odin recognized him (nothing)
5) I tried to short-circuit the power button area, but nothing to do.
No other ideas come to me !!
In a nutshell, is there an alternative way to unlock or format it without the cursed POWER ON button?
He loves the word for this impossible mission !!
Thank you and I hope to have some help from the community!
On the SM-T800, the power-button is a part of user-replaceable assembly, the one that includes also the volume buttons, the left speaker, and the headphone jack. I had to replace it because dropped the tablet and damaged the headphone jack.

Mi A2 Lite help needed. Screen stopped responding to inputs

Hello,
My Mi A2 Lite stopped receiving inputs from the screen, i.e no screen response.
Numerous re-boots by pressing power button, just brings up the screen to enter pin, where I cannot enter anything since screen is not responding. There is no sign of any defects with the screen, so i think its a software problem. i have also tried to wipe data/factory reset the phone a few times using power button+ volume up and getting up the "robot" and "no command" screen, then power button + volume up again gets me to the recovery screen. The recovery screen also has the selection to "Apply update from adb" or also "Apply update from SD card", but not sure if this will work.
I have then tried to install TWRP, for me being able to install a new ROM, but cannot do it since "Minimal ADB and fastboot" commands bring up FAILED (remote:unlock device to use this command)
I assume I must enter phone settings and press 7 times on correct menu, then enable developer mode. This I cannot do, since I cannot enter the phone.
What should I do here in order to go forward in trying to get the phone working again?
