First off a little background I downloaded and installed the collective rom from the dev section earlier today and was absolutely loving it. I went into the over the air settings, and downloaded the avengers theme bc I thought it would make a cool edition to show my nephew ( loves the avengers) upon rebooting after successfully flashing I get the avengers A boot logo but it just sits there flashing, and the phone never boots. After waiting a solid 15 minutes for it to boot I held down the power button to power down the phone, and now I can not get it into recovery to reinstall the rom, or install a backup that I made. Clockwork will not come up for some reason, and whenever I try to boot the phone again it gets stuck on the avengers A??? What should I do? What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance
P.S. whenever I plug the phone in it does bring up the battery icon that shows that it is charging, and it will also allow me into download mode.

that is rather wierd. i also use the collective rom its great! but was the avengers theme a flashable theme? or one from theme choooser... if it was flashabble are you sure you did it to the right device.. honestly if i were you and there were no way going into recovery i would unroot and reroot and install ur custom recovery again and restore ur collective rom before this problem happened...

Thank you for the quick response. Yes I am sure it was a flashable theme, if you are running the collective rom and go to the over the air settings there are themes you can download, and the instructions just say to reboot into recovery, flash the theme, then reboot. after doing that I am now experiencing these problems.

Sorry bear with me I'm a noob. whenever I try to reboot (not recovery) it says samsung first then it say samsung galaxy s3 like normal then the next screen is the avengers A and this is where it gets stuck. When I try to reboot into recovery all i get is the first black screen with samsung and then after that the phone turns off and the battery icon comes back up. I don't get the second samsung galaxy s3 screen where you are supposed to release the power button, it just dies and goes to the battery logo.

Since you can go to download mode i assume odin should still recognize your device. If I were you I'd odin unroot...reroot....restore your old collective rom...cuz u wanna stay orange

I fixed this problem once, with going to download mode and then recovery mode (twrp).
but this time , i couldn't go into recovery anymore, even sometime im *lucky go into it, it keep flickering, i try to press those button it works with vibrate, but i couldnt see probably & press anything yet because it keep flickering, including boot screen,If i start my phone as usual, after the flickering as video above, the boot screen started to turn dark, a while later I still can receive messages, * i heard my ringtone, and even i press on the screen it vibrate , like sliding to open, the water sound still comes out BUT, IT'S IN DARK. i couldnt see anything i just can randomly press it... please help idk what's the problem .. I been trying to fix it google, youtube, for.. 5 hours now..
I've tried flashing superuser again, twrp recovery, philips recovery, and also i flash stock firmware 4.1.2 through odin.
still same. Please help , have to sleep now :_(
Hi everyone, I have got a strange but I think its not that big problem, But Im unable to tackle it.
I tried to root my Desire 816d Dual sim once, but failed, what I was only able to do was, I could unlock the bootloader of my phone with S-on. I left it that way after trying so hard and cant root my device. I dont wanna root it anymore rather I want to update my phone to the marshmallow 6.0 update and I have re-locked my bootloader as well. Its status shows re-locked now.
But the problem is, whenever update gets to be downloaded completely and my phone ask me to restart to install the updates, and after pressing yes the phone reboots but suddenly it enter into recovery menu and stops there...
And when I reboot it from that the update does not install and it prompts me to restart to install the updates again. How am I supposed to stop this menu to pop up please help.
And one more thing, when I recharge my phone when battery drains out, and phone is switched off, instead of charging bar to show up recovery menu shows up and it stays there..
Please help, I want new update and stop these recovery options to pop up so badly..

I had TWRP installed for about 2 years
But now when I try to enter it then it says "Boot Verification Failed" and then Blue and Red light flashes constantly until I pull out the battery. I even flashed MR_Bump on every ROM Flash.
Fact is,
The system boots up fine.
In rare cases the system boots up till the Launcher's home screen and then automatically reboots into download mode, but it can be easily fixed by a battery pullout.
My real problem is how to install TWRP once again because I want to install a new ROM because this one's malfunctioning.
Any help would be appreciated
Hi there guys,
like the title says: my screen turns black after booting.
I see the mi logo, the 5g logo, miui logo, i even can see the recovery and the Fastboot, but after that the screen goes black.
The Phone is fully funciontal bootet.
It reacts to any input.
U can unlock the phone if u know where the pattern is and anything.
I could make an phonecall and anything, if i would know where the app icons are.
The phone doesnt have any damage, doesnt droped to the floor or anything.
No Update done. It just happend one day to the next.
I wiped the cache via stock recovery but doesnt helped anything.
Got u guys any idea?
The phone is a christmas gift so i start to run out of time.
What rom did tou flash?
