Im looking for a cheap decent case till trident releases the agies version, and this one looks to be the cheapest but yet decent, because it will has a drop resistant in it. i dont wanna spend 35 bucks on the case-mate tough due to gonna get the trident case when it comes out.
i liked it but i did not get one so i dont know how it is

i like the kickstand idea of it, from the reviews it sounds ok, just the top and bottom are not well protected, just the corners.
They sell this case at the sprint store. so i would go there first and check it out but this is a way better deal then they have.
My local Sprint store also carries this case. I didnt buy it cause it really looked bulky.

I dont mind bulk really. i figure with big hands, that might help me a little because this phone i thin.
Scratches phone
Read my post here about this case...

Not everyone has troubles with it but I wouldn't trust the case if I dropped it. I ended up buying one of these from eBay and it provides way more protection with little bulk...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/180729129853?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1480wt_1341
No kickstand but it's worth it till I find something better. Only took 6 days to receive it.
The problem I've got with most cases, is that it looks like "a phone snapped into a case". And having a flippy kickstand out the back adds some functionality, but if you don't need or wouldn't use that functionality, it contributes all the more to that "that doesn't look like it belongs there" look. Looks a bit like you've taken half your windshield mount with you.
It's like those cars you see college kids driving around, with the stuff bolted onto them that doesn't integrate well with the car, and you wonder if they've ever actually been to a car show and understand that the best modifications are done in a way that makes the car look more integrated, not less. Phone cases have always been sinners this way.
I bought a matte black TPU case more or less as a placeholder... I've been a person who personally hates cases due to the above, and these phones are so thin that I'd hate to ruin that as well...
Needless to say, I clicked "purchase" with a sigh, thinking it was just temporary, something cheap for protection until the market opened up and I might find that 1% case that was classier and didn't look like a "case snapped on a phone".
I have been more than pleased with the TPU case, I feel like I've accidentally stumbled onto that case. It's the right combination between soft and hard, to actually absorb and disperse shock, it wraps around the front to protect there too, 360 degrees.
It looks like "the phone", it doesn't look like a case even, and the matte black back and gloss front ring look classy, elegant. No rubbery gel look, no playskool plastics, no kids-toy colors or fades, no skulls or dragons, etc. The phone is thin enough to pull it off without looking like a brick too.
I'd recommend this case to others - especially for the $8 shipped cost.
I'd think it'd much better absorb shock than a hard plastic one... it'll absorb it rather than transfer the shock wave right to your phone like a hard plastic one would.
I have not found any worthy case for SG2...There is not a big variety.
i almost love the case
for twenty dollars its not bulky. Thinner than the tpu cases thats for sure ialso tried a gel but doint think i need the xtra protection. im not clumsy and take care of my phones. the top and bottom are not protected but kinda they are they have a lip over the corner and unless it falls on something that sticks out im good. falls on floor the corners are good. plus any case that is over protecte are over bulky an for the scratching have not seen any thing of the like
I'm with Vega. This case is very good, looks great, isn't bulky, and isn't scratching my phone.
I posted some pics in the thread for this case ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1292459&page=2 ) so you can maybe see it from some angles not in the sales shots, but everyone I show this phone to immediately comments on how small and light the phone is, and then I take the case off and they are amazed it gets even smaller.
I'm not a fan of cases, and I'm not a fan of any extra bulk, and I really like this case. Looks great, and gives some light protection.
Light protection? Yes. I did a drop test on linoleum (much harder than carpet, but not as hard/damaging as concrete) and in three drop from knee, waist, and chest high, it did fine. At head high, the case popped off. Which I expected. If you are throwing your phone around like a spaz, get a good gel case or something better than that. If you might accidentally drop your phone getting out of a car, but are not a spaz beyond that, this case is great.
Pics again:
I used this case for about 2 weeks and it scratched my phone on the side bezel on both sides of the phone and also on the back of the phone down by the speaker. I wouldn't use it again. Got the TC case from Amazon in matte black. is much better and cheaper.
@DevonSloan thank you for a little bit more review on that for me :-D i also like the pictures you added much better than what amazon showed

Not so. This kickstand case is much thicker and bulkier than the TPU case. I know this for a fact because I have both. The TPU TC case is cheaper, thinner, feels better in your hand, protects your phone better, won't scratch your phone, is less slippery, and your phone won't fly out of it if you drop it. That happened to me with this case, too. The kickstand is lame as well. If you set it on a table with the kickstand out, the phone leans back at about a 45 degree angle making it really hard to see the screen.

well somethings wrong if ur having issues seeing the screen. the type of screen it is, has the feature to be able to have the phone at an angle and still see the screen clear.i myself would prefer a bulky feel any. like the htc evo shift is semi bulky just a really small screen.
If you like a bulky case this is the one to get. Most of us don't, especially on a phone this big. Just sayin
Most protective case for the phone? Please, don't show me horrendous looking cases either
Horrendous? Like super bulky because that's where all the protection comes from,
I like my aegis, think it looks good. Probably the 'biggest' case.
Seidio Active looks nice too, but a bit more than I am willing to pay.
thimkin bout gettin the aegis, like the design, all they had when I replaced my phone
(Dropped it 2ft onto concrete) screen was f*cked instantly, had to turn completely custom)
Was the ballistics case, wasn't sure on it when I seen it, design was simple, but effective,
Anyways looked it up on youtube (reviews online FTW) in the store, aal the reviews either
Stated what I knew ( it was a simple/rugged case) and they all rated it pretty good,
One in particular threw it like 15 feet down a sidewalk picked it up and not even a scratch
(After the drop I did like 4.5hrs before, it amazed me lol bought it instantly, I personally dropped it countless times (I no, clutz lmfao) including dropping it down a full flight of wooden stairs, and hit the concrete floor from bout 6ft up, and bounce into the other room during a phone call (my basement, unfinished) and pick it up and continue talking.
Which brings me to my one complaint about the case, the cormers are EXTREMELY thick, which causes it to "bounce" I've dropped it and have to chase after it a few steps to catch it lmfao.
All In all its an awesome case, does the trick, but could come in a variety of colors.
The design is rather simple, but shouldn't be enough to drive you away.
Putting on and taking off is a breeze, but can have issues, recommendation:
Put power side on first and pull top and bottem corner on power side into place before putting on side with the volume rocker. Slips right on.
Personal rating:
Name: T989D ballistics Case
Design: 8/10 could come in more colors.
simplicity: 9/10
Protection: 10/10 (I think its almost indestructible)
Overall I would have to say I recommend it
Ahhh, hate the design in that case so much.

the seidio case is like $2 more than the aegis on amazon
i have the seidio active and i love it. only thing i don't like about it is the volume buttons are kind of hard to push
D30 for sure.
There is enough hate in the world. Why can't we all get along here ...?
I love my trident case, it fits very well its a mixture of rubber and plastic. The corners have extra rubber because when you drop the phone it normally lands on the corner. I am an otterbox fan and this case reminds me of the otterbox.....

Hey
i was looking for something special for my HOX and the google found me some really nice cases from ZZCASE
http://www.zzcase.com/133-xgrip-for-htc-one-x-xl-zzcase.html
http://www.zzcase.com/134-vine-zn-xgrip-for-htc-one-x-xl-zzcase.html
does anyone tried them before?? they look awesome!
They also look completely useless.
I would agree they won't protect the case fully.
This is mine
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leica-Camer...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1358432187&sr=1-23
they look awful, will scratch quickly and offer bugger all protection.
Hey
sorry for the long time posting
they just look cool, im one of those who doesn't like always to use a case , only pouch, i love holding the device + not using SP - you buy a big phone to enjoy the screen and touch not to hide it with a piece of plastic, you just need to be careful with it (unless your job is dirty that means you have to use cases and covers)
i guess those covers are for people who thinks like me they are more for the looks not for the protection, but cool
BTW im using now the ROCK Quicksand series - they are also great!

btw im gonna buy the ZZcase one, ill post pictures when ill get it
Hey, it took me some time but i got them and they are pretty cook, more for beauty, less for protection.
I've uploaded some pics

You buy a case to offer some level of protection, this case offers around 5% protection. Put simply.........useless eye candy.

This does offer as little as 5% protection! but as mentioned, some people don't like cases, maybe they would like these as they look pretty cool? so maybe these cases are more beauty than protection?

i buy myself a phone to use it for a 1-2 years - mine has almost 9 months and looks like new, not even a scratch - depend on how much you protect it. my job isnt dirty so i dont care, but for protection i have few more cases from ROCK series
I know we have quite a few Iphone users in here so I thought I'd do this write up.
This case is amazing! If you have used them on the Galaxy S3 you know what im talkong about.
Looks:
It is a very industrial looking case. It looks rugged yet stylish. I love the black with the shiny letters; it really makes my phone stand out.
Fit:
This case offers a very tight fight. I must admit it's hard to take off once it's on but that just proves that it fits the phone perfect. No loose rubbery feeling here.
Everything else:
Well the case itself is quite thin. My phone doesn't feel like a brick and yet it feels vwry protected. I like that a screen protector was included; by the way it works great. It is a good thickness and feels just like glass. All the buttons work great and the cutouts were big enough that I've had no issues with chargers or headphones.

I use one of the slimmest cases available, but even that makes an already bulky phone bulkier. So, a few days ago I decided to ditch the case and see how it is naked. What a difference. The outer screen is easier to use without a rim around it, and carrying it in hand and in pocket, it is noticeably smaller. In full screen mode, I think it looks nicer, too.

I'm not handy and need a case. I will defently lett the naked (and slippery phone) fall...
Also i use a S-pen wich is in my case.
When i clean my phone/case i understand what you mean but it's t dangerous for me...
I've attached a link to the case I use. It also carries my s-pen, but I find that I don't really use the S-Pen. I suppose I'll miss it, the first time I have a need for it.

If you keep in a pocket that's cotton lined you'll get lint build up. Probably something you don't want with this device. At least turn the pocket inside out when washing.
Had that problem with my Buds+ case when kept in the front cotton lined pocket. In the 60/40 cotton/polyester thigh pocket there's no build up. It's now kept in the other cargo pocket as is my N10+. No more build up. No more port cleaning.
I’m on the “no case” team. Phone is already bulky enough… I like the feel of the phone without any case. I have a S-Pen case that came with the preorder goodies, but I only bought it for the S-Pen.
I would love having my Fold naked, but I´m not that brave, so, I use a aramid/kevlar case from AliExpress that is both protective and slim at same time: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.28.5ecf1802HDCCsX

And naked I think will feel the best but I almost had a couple close calls when it was charging and when I walked by it got hooked on me, and I'm not the biggest fan of how it likes to attract the fingerprints
Naked is best but one drop can be catastrophic!
I've been using the Samsung leather case and am used to it.
I recommend a pouch type holster in any case to carry it around regardless of being in a case or not. If naked, IMHO, it's the ONLY way to go!
I got this one for my Fold 3 and it fits all the xxl sized phones too! The lining is very soft, phone stays clean and scratch and lint free and it's not so bulky and has no hard edges to dig into you when sitting down.

Had my first, and only, drop of my phone those morning. No case, off our 34" vanity. It fell face first onto the hard floor. No damage. Whew!

Decided I wanted to protect the phone! However the Samsung case I paid 80 $ for sucked. Front screen was really frustrating.
Decided again after reading this thread to go caseless
And just like every other phone I have used in the last ten years, I put skateboard griptape on the back! It is a wonder of the world.
I suggest everyone try it
Now the phone is a joy!! Not pain in the ass
I also enjoy this app called swiftly switch. Gives me a navigation pill wherever I want. I one hand this thing in beast mode and like a Lil navigation pill in the top right for one hand navigation
Thank u
I recommend this https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0BG2723M4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It describes Flip 4 but i bought it for Fold 4, and it was amazing. Very thin, and the Fold looks like a new phone. the stock ases from Samsung are very heavy and not so recommended for the Front screen, but this one is so amazing
device too slippery if no case is on it...............I do like it better w/out one, but don't want the chance to damage it
best case for this phone is Samsung's with the stand at the back the big one. the phone is as thin as it can be and you get a tablet stand at the same time.

Best case was last years silicone case. Kept it thing and gave the phone grip with it being silicone
I go naked sometimes after dark.. o wait
I also use my fold 4 naked.. only wah to go like a hero
I would if it wasn't for the camera bump making git a rocking boat when sitting folded on a table.
Usually I do when out though I use the official grip case
I was using a i blason clear case. But that thing attracts so much of my hand oils its a nightmare to keep clean. Just handling it for 5 minutes makes eberythng nasty. Holding this fold 4 naked in my hand is just perfection.
I may return that case. Or keep it for when going outside or work.
Unless someone knows of a better clear case.
Normally i dont care if its clear. But i waited a damn month for this burgundy color and damn strait imma show it somehow lol

same here. device withouth a case is too slippery, i've read here about skateboard griptape, but not sure about this solution...so I'm using the back kevlar slim case from this pack, front naked: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0BG2723M4/
