Hello all,
I use the facewidget always on display at lockscreen which shows the calender entrys. But with android pie i noticed that birthdays are shown one day before!
Attached you can see that the birthday is shown at 01/10/2019 which is realy at 01/11/2019. In standard calender the birthday is at the rigt day.
Could someone confirm this issue? This ist realy annoying if the birthday is shown one day before.
Thanks for your answer.
Same problem here
I have the exact same problem. Note 8 with Pi. My always on display always shows one day before the actual date. Today it shows May 11- Mother's Day. But, Mother's Day is May 12, and the only Mother's Day in my actual calendar is on May 12. Happens all the time. Any fix for this?

Hi there,
I've noticed that when I flick to the calendar tab in TouchFlo3D that it will display some items, then there's a delay of sometimes up to 10-15 seconds before it will display the rest of the items for that day (this is looking at Day Mode).
It's not chronological, meaning that it's not giving me the first 2-3 items of the day then searching for the remainder, it appears random.
Anyone else having this?
Cheers,
Pete
i have displayed immediately only the appointments with a time specified.
the all day events come later...
about 2 seconds later...
Mmm, I thought that was the case, but no, for me it's totally random. Timed, untimed, all day, whatever, and the delay is more than 2 seconds, that's for sure
have you messed around with the weather database?

other than delete and add cities (legitimately), no other changes and no tweaking/hacking of any kind.
out of curiosity, why would the weather database have an impact on the calendar?
Pete
My calendar come sup nearly immediately
BUT my SMS tab is a nightmare to come up... (Same like 5 to 10 seconds...)

when you open a day in calendar the weather is displayed in the day view...so if ther's a problem with cities in the database it could be the culprit of the delay.
i messed with the city database with a program, and i had problem in the calendar view and in the clock/alarm view, because the cities database had some trouble...
this happens to me as well, however the delayed items seem to only correlate to appointments/reminders set inside a contact. for example someones birthday defined in the contact has a delay while another persons birthday (same setings) created as a calendar specific event shows up immediately. apparently the fone just needs time to search the contact database for events. and does not need to search the calendar database because ...it's the calendar
Has anyone done/seen anything to speed up the Calendar tab in Sense 2.5 ?
Ever since I've used it, even in Sense 2.1, it's very very slow in bringing up everything, e.g. in "Agenda" view. The problem appears to be recurring appointments, of which I have several (not loads, typically it might have four or five to show for a week), since unique appointments show straight away. These appointments have been sync'd from Outlook 2007.
It's Sense that's the problem, since if I go into the WM Calendar application, and select, say, week view, it displays them instantly.
I tried a search but only found someone else describing the same thing, from approximately 1 year ago, with no resolution.
I just went to the Calendar tab and up popped my agenda view instantly, including three reoccuring appointments this week. I also sync with OL07, and have beaucoup appointments (all past and plenty of future appointments, with about 2 dozen reoccuring appoiintments at any given time).
Sorry I can't reproduce your problem. Does that make things better or worse? ;-)
Hmm, that seems especially strange since you're using virtually an identical ROM to me ! And I've had this problem basically forever.
Hmm, I'm going to have to experiment, I think. How much of your past appointments have you got set to sync from your PC ?
I had the exact same issue when using the 2.07 ROM (I flashed back to the 1.86 in the meantime). The Agenda/Week tab would immediately show all 'single' appointments, and 5 seconds later the reoccurring ones.
I obviously can't test right now, but it could have something to do with either the date of the first occurrence of the reoccurring appoinment (how far back is it?), or with the number of exceptions in the reoccurrence.
It did help to only sync the past couple of weeks.
Yep, that's the sort of problem I get. I just tried changing my settings to sync only the last 2 weeks, but no difference unfortunately.
I wonder if it does have something to do with those two factors you mention though.
I do have exactly the same problem in my Topaz (Rom 2.53.412.3 ESN): the calendar tab shows the recurring appointments with a 5 sec. delay. No idea about how to fix it.
Yup, I've got the same problem on Simplicity 23673 Sense 2012. I've ended up switching off the tab and putting shortcut to Calendar on quicklinks !!
Hi all,
on rhodium, like on all my latest WM devices, Pocket outlook calendar appointments are automatically shifted whenever I change timezones on the clock
Is there a way to avoid this??

What you're describing sounds like the normal -- correct -- behavior, isn't it? Appointments are set as absolute times.
That is, if you have a meeting scheduled for 10am in New York, then clocks in Chicago show 9am and clocks in Paris show 4pm when that meeting starts. So Calendar is supposed to shift the local clock-time of the appointment if you tell the phone that you're in a different time zone.
So you're saying that you want to disable/defeat this standard feature?
Thks McBrian,
Yes, I want to change the "normal " behaviour, as I am taking the appointmets in local time.
I am a salesman, and so if, say, If am in Italy and I am arranging a meeting in NY at 10 am for tomorrow, when I got off the plane I would like my phone to keep it at 10 am. Make sense? UP to WM5, when you were changing the time of the phone the system was prompting you if you wish to adapt apointment timing to the new timezone.
I have tried to sneak the register looking for a tweak, without success.
now I hope somebody can help...
OK, I get it.
So, basically what you need is for Calendar to see the world as one big time zone, so that all appointments are in local time. Yeah, that does make sense for your application...and I don't have a clue if that's possible.

I tried all I could think of and in the end what I would do was, for example when in London, change my location to New York, selected in the world clock. Then set an appointment in New York time. When you change back to your location being in London the appointment time will change but when you get to New York time it will be correct. Not sure if I changed my location to New York, when I got there, or if I just let my location update itself.
Sounds all wrong but works.
But I never allowed the automatic time changing because that causes too many problems.
The fact is I normally get appointmets on Outlook, which are then synced to the device. What I am doing now is simply to change the time of the clock (and not the timezone) and disable automatic time change and localisation options, but i recognise I am giving up cool functions.
There should be a better way, I am sure...
Is it possible to see your google calendar subscribtions? I use weeknumbers often, and on my previous Android phone I was able to see the week number subscribtion.
Or is there any otherway to show week number?
Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the day is not written in the calendar in the day viewing, only the date ex: 1.december 2010 not, monday 1.december 2010.
haven't spotted anything for this yet. if you think these changes should be done, twitting windowsphone could be a good place to start.
Anyone else have calendar events not showing up? I have an event scheduled everyday that isnt showing a notification. I’ve looked at the usual stuff, notifications are on for calendar, etc....I have an iPad that’s also connected to the same gooogle calendar and they come through fine on it everyday. Anyone have any insight?
Is there an alert added to the calender entry? Like 10 minutes before?
Thanks for replying. There is an alert set,...it was for 10 minutes before, that didn’t work so I changed it to at the time of event, and that didn’t work. I read somewhere that it was because of the last update, so I uninstalled the update and it worked this morning. I’m going to give it a few more days to see if it still works and if so I know a calendar update came out yesterday so I’ll update to that and hopefully I won’t have to worry about it anymore.

I used to have problems with my calendar not firing alerts or just firing late on previous phones. Then I found an app on GPS called Events Notifier For Calendar (by RYO Software.) There is an XDA thread somewhere about it. I've been using it on my last three phones including this one and I feel it is indispensable! (As for the GPS rating, my guess is user error for most of people's complaints.) But it has never failed me and the developer is extremely helpful. It's probably one of the first 5 apps I now install on every new phone.
