Hi guys,
Nice to meet you here.
I am having issue with 3D function .
I am using amazon fire stick 4K with 4K 3D Bravia TV.
3D movie plays smooth on kodi SBS but when I press 3D button on my TV remote to activate the 3D . I don’t see the menu on the screen.
I tried YouTube app on fire stick and same issue
I see an error that says this signal not available.
Am I missing something in the setting of kodi or fire stick ?
Your help and guidance will get appreciated.
Thanks I’m advance

SBS works at an LG TV without problems. I made a action at my Logitech remote to switch to 3D, as long the TV doesn´t do it by himself.
Still searching a solution for framepacked ISO Files...

I have been running the FireTV for a few weeks now with Gotham 1.2 and I'm really loving how smooth everything is so far. I have also a Winbox that has a GEforce video card.
On the Windows box the Kodi/System/Video Output offers me brightness and contrast controls, however on the FireTV I don't have those options. I would like to be able to increase the 'gamma' on the display but haven't found a way to do that.
It's definitely not something I've seen in the forum, so I'm going to ask at the risk of seeming like a noob2x.
How can I get FireTV to do that brightness adjustment?
Thanks in advance
Fire TV question about video in Kodi
Maybe I placed this post in the wrong forum? I am running the Fire TV and Kodi Gotham 13.2.
It had to do with hardware issues and xbmc's options for video display on the Fire TV.
I tried asking in the Kodi forum but no reply there either...Is my question a really dumb one?

You need to make those adjustments on your HDTV.

Maybe I didn't explain my situation clearly enough.
When I run XBMC on a PC I have the option to control brightness and contrast in the XBMC /Settings/System/Video output menu.
When I run XBMC on the AFTV those options are not there in the XBMC/Settings/System/Video output menu.
Is the video capability of the FireTV just not enough for these controls to be utilized?
Hey Guys,
i am searching for a coder or some help with my little project.
I would like to play back 4 videos which are located on the fire tv stick.
Therefore i need a remoteapp with just four Buttons.
Each of this Buttons should be responsable for the play back of one of the four Videos on the Fire Stick.
Is this possible?
Thank you guys
Hi all,
I am new to Fire Tv and Kodi, but have recently be trialing some paid sports apps as alternative to Sky Sports. I'm currently paying for Infusum and have just been trying out the service from HDTV (mbox hd iptv). I am playing back on my LG smart tv from 2012. The picture quality is quite good, but as soon as you get to any moving pictures, it becomes a bit juddery/blurry and difficult to watch. As this happens with both these add-ons, thinking it is either due to fire tv or tv itself (though all motion and added settings are turned off). I have read that some people not happy with playback on their Amazon boxes, so likely to be this?
Has anyone else got a football feed in HD running perfectly on their tv via the Amazon box and is there anything I can do in settings or addons to make this run better? (I have tried all the options in fire settings, ie 60hz, 50 hz etc and did not seem to make any difference. Such a shame but looks like Sky Sports is still only suitable source for me?
I also would like to know
ok i had the fire tv first gen which i sold, the issue i had was that bbc iplayer and other apps would freeze/not buffer until i disconneced kodi/plex often i had to restart for it to work. is this still the case with fire tv 2?
can i put kodi on the homescreen??? ive read that llama doesnt work?
can the amazon fire tv be rooted/jailbroken, any benefits of this
does amazon fire tv 2 have infrared?
can amazon fire tv 2 autoboot to kodi? and if i want to go back to normal apps is that possible i.e. bbc iplayer
i dont use amazon content at all!!
thank you
You can autoboot to Kodi or even better launch it with the home button courtesy of Firestarter. Forget about Llama.
Get this app first:

And load this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/themes-apps/app-root-home-launcher-replacement-app-t3118135
Then get Kodi:

I recommend going straight to the 16 Alpha:

It's all very straight forward.
what about any other issues? is playback smooth faster then the original

It's much improved. Plays everything I've thrown at it.
Navigation is slightly slower with the new remote. There are some outstanding surround sound issues that Amazon has promised to fix.
thanks guys
still waiting delivery i hope there is no buffering/freezing issue if i open two video apps
Havent used my rooted FTV Gen 2 in a while... trying to figure out if I keep or sell. I'm considering getting an Nvidia Shield for Emby/Kodi so not sure if I really need the FTV2
FTV2... Anything cool I can do with it at this point?
-- Emulator to run old-skool video games? Rampage, Galega, Gauntlet, etc? Or just run this on the new FireTV Stick 4k (in living room tv) and NVidia Shield (in home theater)
-- Any hacks to get it to do lossless DTS & Dolby TrueHD pass through over HDMI? (for Emby / Kodi in Home Theater).
thx for the help!
