Few of these threads have been made, but not sure if anyone has shown OTG USB host cable work with USB dongle supporting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
I followed this scheme to connect the 4th pin ID to the 5th pin ground. The rest was very simple.

Click bellow to see pictures of the USB bluetooth dongle connected via host wire with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse working flawlessly.

Let me know if you have any questions
I think there was a thread related to this matter already : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070573&highlight=otg
That thread doesn't use a bluetooth dongle. Instead, it uses the built in bluetooth feature of the phone to connect to a bluetooth keyboard and mouse without using the OTG host usb. That's why I wanted to try it this way and see if it worked.
OTG cable
If i use OTG cable for my NOVO 7 paladin(tablet with Android Version 4.0.1) or Xperia ARC(Android version 2.3.4), can it support to my external USB device(like printer)?

Why don't you want to use the built in BT? Surely then you can output to a big screen or charge the phone.
mouse and keyboard also not detected by XPERIA ARC.

mouse and keyboard also not detected by XPERIA ARC or NOVO 7 PALADIN
I don't have OTG cable?
Is OTG cable is required?
observation: Using USB HOST Controller Software(Available in Android market)
1) For NOVO 7 Paladin : USB HOST MODE is ACTIVE
:Keyboard, mouse not detected
2) For XPERIA ARC : USB HOST MODE not available or not Active
:Keyboard, mouse not detected
Hi guys. I have a lg e975 with nitrogenOS and nitrogenex. I also have a otg y cable and sticks, mouses and keyboards are working. But my Xbox 360 controller doesn't work. I have the wireless version and the controller doesn't find the receiver, but the phone detects the receiver apparently. I think it's a detecting problem with the phone drivers. Is their a fix?
Thanks in advance!

Optimus G doesn't support OTG.. you've to install a custom kernel with USB OTG hack.. As i remember an old version of jollkernel has this feature.. I've used it with mass storage devices but never used a gamepad...
Ask @jollaman99 ,.about the version
I have a custom kernel + y cable.

Would anyone know of a ROM or kernel for the G4 which enables usb ethernet connectivity, ie with the usb ethernet drivers which stock android comes with?
+1 on this. I have the same question. I have a CM 13 Nexus 9 which supports otg ethernet without any configuration, 100% plug and play.
G4 on CM13 isn't working.
I also have this problem. Weird that Cyanogenmod does not support it.
Hello guys,
i have a sm-t715y galaxy tab s2 8.0 and bought a D-link DUB-1312 usb to lan convertor.
when i connect it to tablet using OTG cable, the ethernet option in system remains gray and will not active.
is there any way i can use my dongle with this tablet ?
i'm on android 5.0.2 stock ,rooted.
thanks
any idea?
USB adapters are hit and miss, however I know of 2 that WILL work and are relatively cheap..

I like the asus usb ethernet adapter because it can act like a wifi router and allow devices to connect to it wireless..
but the first adapter for 15 bucks is an awesome deal and works, no fuss.

Enable developer options, go to usb configuration and choose RNDIS. This may help but I think you should choose RNDIS every time your tablet reatarts. ( I have the same problem with dji phantom 4 )
Sent from my SM-T719 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Hii, Guys does anyone know how to enable One Plus 3 Ethernet cable, I brought a usb to Ethernet cable and otg but I cant connect....
is there a way I can install a mod to make this work thank you,
I am at work need free wifi My data signal is low... lol
Not possible.
Should be possible with a custom kernel integrating the right module for your Ethernet dongle.
Hello. I have the same problem as you. Did you find the way to connect it to ethernet?
