Hi All,
I got a Galaxy S9 from Koodo Canada and there seems to be no option to tether via Bluetooth, wifi/USB tethering works fine but I need to tether my car via Bluetooth. How do I add the option that the carrier apparently removed? preferably without having to root.
Thanks in advance.

How does the wireless tethering in CM7 work? I'm guessing it's the same as the free workarounds, rather than using the verizon paid tethering method. can anyone confirm this?
Same question here. I have tried that and the wireless tether app and neither work for me.

i got wireless tether work by going in and setting it manually to adhoc mode or use barnacle tether
barnacle definitely works, i just want to know if the built in one will result in tethering charges.
No, the built in tethering doesn't incur any charges.
Im on FB21 with the rest of the crazies I have still yet to get any sort of wifi tether to work. I am using easy tether for some devices but I need to get back to connecting my gtab to my phone I miss it ..
Is it just me (anyone else had any luck?) or this an inherent problem with early release? Just curious, thanks!
I too have been unable to find a functioning wireless tether ability... though i am using PDA net via usb to tether, and it works flawlessly.

Also Bluetooth tethering works
Sent from my deathstar π___×
I went back to Calks 2.9 because there is no other way to get my touchpad online on the go. I love ICS but I have to have functionality. Touchpad can't tether via Bluetooth.
I can get the wired usb tether to work fine but it seems to be slower. Using FoxFi but it seems to mess with my phone. I have NEVER gotten wifi tether to work, irregardless of my phone version or rom, so I was wondering what people have installed on both phone and comp that allows it to work. My wireless card enables ad-hoc so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I just want a simple wifi tether, not a hotspot because i don't want others to use it, that's what FoxFi is for when I have guests. I just want to get wifi tether to work to see if it works how I'm hoping it does. Any help is appreciated
Does your computer support Bluetooth? BLuetooth tethering sounds like it more like what you are looking for. I've honestly never heard of a "WiFi" tether outside of the hotspot usage.
does we have bluetooth tethering? i want to be able to use.. do i have to root to use bluetooth tether on tmobile note 2? if so i might just have to root but im on 4.3...

The Bluetooth tethering is disabled for T-Mobile US, but I understand you can install in international ROM to get BT tethering. You'll lose WiFi calling, however.

could you possibly link those that support this bluetooth tethering please
Well I had this phone for a while and never needed to tether via bluetooth, but now with my Android car radio I can tether via BT or WiFi.. I wanted to pair it via BT but I don't see BT tethering in any of the menus....
I've read sometimes it can be a carrier disabled option or some USA phones don't have them. But this is an carrier unlocked phone bought at Costco Canada.
Anybody have this issue... I'm going to test BT Tethering Manager, but I would've preferred the native Android BT tether option.
