Does anybody know any sound mod or equalizers that work on mate 20x? I tried to install Viper4android as magisk module but it didn`t work.
Have you successfully unlocked your bootloader and rooted your phone? If not, Viper won't work.
If you are using wired headphones then you can access the built in Dolby Atmos by pressing down volume, then the little wheel icon at the bottom of the volume slider, then "more" and you will find the Dolby menu. It doesn't work with Bluetooth headphones, however, so you would have to use a system-wide app like EqualizerFX.

Hi,
I think that the volume is too coarse for the music player. The hacks for increased volume with gravity box do not work with the m8. It visually looks like it works, but it actually does not change the volume to increase in finer increments. Neither does the volume step mod for the htc one m7 from last year work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Exactly!

This is exactly what I get with my M7. Adding the extra increments in Gravity Box doesn't change the actual volume, just means I have to press twice to move one (large) increment.
Has anyone found a module or anything to do this in the Note 7?
XTouchWiz has an option to but it breaks using volume keys normally to adjust volume.
also is there any good alternatives to XTouchWiz for general purpose tweaks?
Thanks
Hi all , just upgraded to Oreo latest stable release ,but like the title says no headphone button clicking combo for media control (change ,pause tracks) works anymore , is it a known bug? , can't find any info anywhere, also no screen gesture for media control seems to work either ,after making such gesture phone vibrates but nothing happens , any advice on how to fix this? I really use a lot these kind of features
edit: works only on gplay music

single and double click is working for me on poweramp and spotify. triple click ain't.

Does anyone know of a way to modify the setting to allow the volume rocker to default to ringer volume instead of media? I'm assuming it could be accomplished through some edits hopefully.
This is default in android 9. Maybe you can change it with a build.prop edit or a button mapper app?

Im sure there is an app to do so but I prefer to change it within the system itself since we do have root access, just not sure what file to edit. There is a the button map config file but it seems to be more for just mapping what a buttom actually is and considering it is a volume up button and i still want it as such that file is not much help. This change doesn't make sense since android already defaulted to change the media volume when media was playing. Why would you adjust the media volume when no media is playing? Hopefully Lineage add this option back, I believe they had it as an option in the previous version.

Yes. Oreo has a switch in buttons/advanced: Control ringtone volume. It toggles media and ringtone.

I have lineage 17, and my volume buttons dont work. I can set volume by the volume panel though.
What could be the problem? Thanks.
Hi, does anybody have a good Android Music Player APP that doesn't just 'advertise' the ability to equal out the volume of different tracks, but ACTUALLY DO IT?
Thanks.

OK, bought PowerAmp... wow there's a stack of settings!
2 questions please:
Can you get rid of the equalizer on the main screen and maybe replace it with a next/previous track button (rather that slide across the screen) or just have a bigger album photo?
And where exactly is the setting to equalize track volumes!?
Thanks.
EDIT: Found the back & forward buttons so just the track volume equalizer please
