I upgraded my Mi A2 Lite to Andorid 9, without following the procedure for OTAs.
Now I find myself with Magisk "not installed" and Gcam not working.
Is there a way to re-install the Gcam without losing data? Thank you!:fingers-crossed:

Hi, download new Pie firmware in xiaomi site: https://en.miui.com/download-354.html and use the procedure magisk same oreo (boot.img etc) and it works! :good::good:

Same here focus issues and no more root. App starts but not focusing.

Flash the 60fps magisk module as well as gcam over from mi-6 thread. Gcam works fine for me. Rooted Mix 2 on 8.10.25 MIUI 10 Global Beta, rooted with magisk.

I've uploaded 60fps fix in attachment. Not my work. I took it from mi6 discussion thread. U flash this module via recovery, wipe cache + dalvik/art. Then install MGC gcam 5.3.015.
Clear app cache before running it. That's how I got it to work. Unrooted gcam is plainly either with focus problems or with features disabled.

One Of The Best Custom Rom When I Was Using Samsung And LG. But I Don't Know Will It Work Or Not On A2 Lite.
It would be nice!
We need someone to ether build it or port one.but twrp needs to be up and running 100%

I tried gapps included version and works great! Everyone can try to flash. If you brick your device, you can revert it with mi flash(if bootloader is unlocked)
But i tried android 8.1 version

I finally found a stable 6.1 gcam for our beloved whyred. My model is Chinese AI red. I am currently using Havoc OS 2.4 (Android 9) without any patch, root or modified kernel. All standard of rom itself.
The apk's author is marlin-ku (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-marlin-ku/)
Notice: You need camera2api enabled!
Recommendations:
Disable 4k video (use full hd)
HDR on the front camera DOES NOT WORK (but if you disable it, everything works)

I do not have the MIUI to test, just Havoc OS, but a person who has tested it and said it did not work.

You're right, Xiaomi should enable camera2api by default, on MIUI Pie it's just a value on build.prop, nothing more nothing less, it's awfull marketing
I have camera2api enabled but get only forced close.
I'm using MASIK 4.1 Miui pie. Front camera work fine for photos and videos. One bug is superzoom in front camera video with 60fps.
But finally we can use one GCAM TRUE Stable.

What is your ROM? Kernel? Firmware? Do you have root?
Im on LineageOS 16 with Magisk 19.1 and 9.4.18 firmware installed.

Very interesting. I have the latest version of Havoc OS 2.4, on my Chinese note 5 with stable firmware 10.3.4, with absolutely nothing else (root, patch camera, kernel) and this was the most stable version I've ever installed on my whyred. Everything works, minus HDR on the front camera and the 4k video. Everything else works perfectly here.
There are a few exclusive Video Modes in Xiaomi Mi 11 - Magic Zoom, Slow Shutter, Time Freeze, Night-mode time-lapse, Parallel World, and Night Mode Video.
Is it possible to port to Mi 10T Pro?

No there were problems with the twrp flashable file and now it is available only as a magisk module
Has anyone successfully flashed ANX Cam on an AOSP-based custom ROM like Pixel Experience? I recently returned to MIUI EU ROM and preferred the camera quality over any version of GCAM I have tried with this device.

Found a downloadlink on on crdroid group.
It linked a group called yusufs mi lite 4g stuff, where there is a a magisk zip that works
But i think, i like gcam better.
