Hi. Did anyone manage to install Substratum Curve on OOS 9.0? I tried everything and it doesn't work... It worked on other customers Pie ROMs like Codename Phoenix but only on OOS Pie. Tried on Stable and Beta too. Does not work... Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Yeah it doesn't really work for me. It might do the slightest bit but it doesn't even looked curve. Have U gotten other themes to work? If not U might need to grab the APK from their telegram.
I've had to resort to rounded corners app in the play store
Well, OOS evolved in almost exactly what I like so I only used this module. On other ROMs I use other themes but since Ozone is not compatible with 9 yet, I don't need it from anything else.

I found a 7.1.1 version with Mar security patch that someone ported to Helium some time ago. Even though subtratum doesn't work it is my favorite ROM and actually has a working raise to wake. Not sure who ported it but it would be great if a new version from the Slim ROM page was ported.

I ported it from Hydrogen to Helium a few months back but development stopped on it. There are no plans for Substratum on it and I think that turned a lot of people off. Resurrection Remix is the best rom out right now as it has much more customization options than plain Lineage.

How is the audio clarity and quality when compared to the stock ROM? I have stopped flashing any custom ROMs - be it Oreo or Pie just because of this issue. Also, could you please share the full camera version that you are currently using - is that without the Portrait mode? Also, how much screen-on time are you getting?
Hello there... this post got my interest too. I have jumped back and forth between stock and custom. It is sad "for me" that it seems most devs have given up on supporting / maintaining Oreo 8.1. Everyone is trying to iron out the bugs in a Pie custom... however, I simply want the stability to be there... especially with the camera features and battery life. I am not a gamer either, btw. With all of that said, I have a question or two please.
1. Why did you quote using an older version of Magisk? Is there a compatibility thing that I should be aware of?
2. With the Gcam mod you referenced, does stability work smoothly while recording video? I have found that in many custom builds the stability mode can be jerky and no too smooth.
TIA
For me substratum themes doesnt work on latest stock. Has anibody same problem?
I think if you google you might be able to find Pixel Oreo wallpaper/launchers that could help you customize it a bit. I just use Pixel wallpapers of Lagos or somewhere that I found a half year ago. I no longer use their customization as I found it lagged things a tad. But that experience was on a past Pixel experience ROM (7.x, I believe) when I then adapter to other custom ROMs.

Hi,
I don't want to get into a debate about which custom ROM is the best. (The one you pick is likely the best for you right?) What I do want to get a handle on is people's experience with custom ROMs and Android Pie.
Is there a custom ROM that has done a better job at integrating the features of Pie after moving on from Oreo, and that currently is at an acceptable useful level?
There are a few out there currently, and they seem to have been working for a bit, but is it worth it to flash a daily driver to a Pie based ROM at this stage, or wait for awhile?
Thanks for your help,
Clay

Pie roms are mostly very stable now, pixel experience and havoc, both of which I tried worked perfectly for me, no problem. You should just try it

Yah There are so many roms out there but i will suggest you to go With Pixel Experience
i have switched many roms from last 2 months But whenever i switch I have never get the smoothness that i get from PE
Latest version of PE (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3830197) has almost no more bugs and it uses Android 9: PixelExperience_whyred-9.0-20181119-0216-OFFICIAL.zip
It's updated to recent security patches and works great.
Definitely usable for daily uses!
I'm using AOSP Extended Pie. So far, so good. It hasn't blown up my daily driver yet, so <fingers crossed>.

Yes it's working very smooth, I didn't notice any glitches
I'm using LineageOS 15.1 as daily driver. Yesterday I tried AOSPExtended Rom 6.0 and Havoc-OS. In my opinion AOSPExtended runs great but I didn't find an privacy manager like LineageOS. As second I tested Havoc-OS. Havoc-OS has implemented privacy manager. But In the Pixel Launcher in Havoc-OS I didn't find a option to deactivate the Google search bar.
But both ROMs looks very great.
OT: For my personal use, I don't want GoogleServices and PixelLauncher. F-Droid and Yalp store is enough for me. For my tests with Havoc-OS, of course, I replaced the Pixel Launcher with another Launcher from F-Droid.
Revolution OS Pie is very smooth and stable and has an awesome battery life
MCaosp best custom ROM Android Pie so far I have tested. Well-balanced. 120k on antutu and lots of drums.

OOS 9.0.2 is the best
Hello Guys, thank you for joining me on this thread.
My question is :
I'm planning to Install Twrp and flash an android 10 custom rom. But in order to do that, I want to know if there's is Gcam, OOS cam or anyother camera module which I can use to retain the quality of pictures. If so, please link it here, I will try them ALL out, and others can use this thread as well.
You found something?
Nope. Literally no one has replied. Lol. Gcam could work, if installed properly. But I can't find how. Only installing the app gives pink bars, green tint and fc. Surely there's another way, a magisk module or settings to get it right. Haven't found it as of now. But derp Android 10 rom has the best cam in-built, even better than OOS people opinionate.

You can try out the Arnova GCam ports on https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
But remember to flash the Magisk fix module first - check this link out
