Hello guys,
is there FM radio available on the Mate 20 X? Or is it possible to enable it like in Mate 20?
Yes. Just install NextRadio and use your headphones as the antenna

isn't that an online radio? we need the old school FM tuner.
Does the Mate 20X have FM receiver?
There is a way to install FM Radio, first thing first root your Mate 20X after that download firmware Mate 20 HMA-L29C432B171, extract the firmware and use some tools app to extract system.img and look or search FM Radio Folder where the in app folder or prvi-app folder such copy the FM Riado Folder and paste to Mate 20X that you rooted in the system folder and restart your phone and try to open it and let's see if it's work or not.

Attached you will find the apk in a zip file that will install as a system app. I used this on the One X, can't remember who created it, sorry. Tried it on the GS3 and it's seems to be working perfectly.
Remember that I grabbed this from the One X threads, so don't freak out when the install proccess says something about One X

Yes you need to be rooted and have a custom recovery installed like CWM.
Shouldn't interfere with poweramp

hey guys iam verry happy with this DSP.Its the best DSP plugin what ever i used in my whole smartphone world and i am started by win mobile ^^
The sound is verry verry fantastic !Deep and smouth bass booster. Its so good when you listening old Alben without good dynamik, like a-ha or depeche mode.
The Treble was absolut clear an no aggressiv.
But for all power amp useres, make shure that you dont have "direct control" activate.so the DSP doesnt work !You can find it in settings-audio engine-advanced tweaks.
thanks and good night ;-)

Could someone please share Huawei Ascend P6 FM radio tuner and Huawei Backup apps?
I have upgraded my Huawei Ascend P1 to CyanogenMod 10.1 (Android 4.2.2) and I am missing those apps very much. I wonder, whether perhaps it would be possible to use the ones from Ascend P6 (the ones from Ascend P1 (Android 4.0.3) will not even install on the 4.2.2 firmware).
I am not sure if it is ok to share those apk's here (although I am sure ther would be others who would want those apps), but in any case you can PM the links to me.
Thank you!

Thank you, I did not expect those to work (they come from 4.4.2, but I think I need 4.2.x apk's) but I tried anyway. Well, they did not work, they did not even appear in the app list and they did not install the regular way.
Maybe someone has the apk's from Jelly Bean, Android 4.2.2? Isn't that the stock version for Ascend P6?

The backup file is the same as the one used on 4.2.2, as it is updated in the huawei app store.
Either way, I highly doubt you'll even get the 4.2.2 FM radio to work.

That turned out to be true, unfortunately.
I downloaded the Huawei Ascend P6 rom from Huawei website, extracted the UPDATE.APP file using regular zip program, then extracted the 10.system.img file using the tool mentioned here before - Huawei Update Extractor (on Windows). Then I mounted the 10.system.img file on Linux using simple command
Code:
sudo mount -o loop 10.system.img android-system/
the file mounted as an ext4 filesystem.
There, in app/ folder, I found all the programs. I tried to install three of those - HwAllBackup.apk, HwFMRadio.apk and HwDLNA.apk.
The first two failed to install, the third installed but crashed after launch. The default DLNA app from stock P1 rom (ics 4.0.3) does work on my CyanogenMod firmware (specs in a post above).
So, thank you everyone who helped me in this test.
Streaming radio - I wonder, how much bandwidth does it consume?
If you use Tunein Radio, for example, I advise you to use it only if you have an unlimited data plan or a WIFI connection.
I dont know where to write, so i try here. Can somebody post the original 4.4.2 Music app, etc... Like when EmoiUI 2.0 leaked?

Is the hardware there, and just disabled? Or is it removed all together? I find it annoying that my Droid X was able to make my mp3 player obsolete, yet the last 4 phones I've had couldn't. It's just the carrier's wanting us to stream music so they can charge us more for data.
Did you tried to download the FM from Lg SmartWorld?

Hello,
Here is a zip with the files you need, unzip, place LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/ with rw-r--r-- permissions and place LGFmRadio.apk in /data/preload/ also with rw-r--r-- permissions.
Anyone able to get LG vid clip working? Supposedly we should be able to edit a video by hitting the menu button. This didn't work for me on AT&T G3. Maybe we need video apk as well?
I can't get the fm radio to work on my att g3. Any suggestions?

Think you will have to install an internet radio like TuneIn.
For the other two apps: they might have been frozen, so try to unfreeze them using Rom Toolbox. Otherwise, move your own apk's + odex to the SD Card and reboot, then move them back and reboot again, still not working? Move them back to the SD Card and try using my apk's.
same result with all of the above.....weird
some kind of block from att i think

Strange... You can try to install a stock based custom ROM
This will most likely solve your problem, but you will probably run Sphinx G3 Neo or VDT V8 so you won't get the LG updates

Tell me first how to extract it from my phone?
If you are rooted you have 2 ways.-
- You can export it using some app like (App Extractor, SDMaid, Titanium Backup...)
- Or use the file browser to check '/data/app', or '/system/app', or '/system/priv-app' dirctories. It should installed as a system app, so should be on '/system /...'.
Note: if it has extra files/folders like libs, or similar, better zip the entire app folder, and it to me.

Hi guys!
I updated the thread with the new version of the camera app from the P20 Pro, the UI has some little changes that makes the app better than before, I uploaded some screenshoots too.
To get working the app just follow this steps (you'll need root access):
1.- Backup your current Hwcamera2 folder (product/app/HwCamera2) (Optional)
2.- Download the P20 pro camera app from HERE
3.- Open your favorite root explorer and go to product/app, delete the HwCamera2 folder and paste the new version contained into the zip file)
4.- To avoid bugs, delete the camera folder from system/priv-app/HwCamera2.
4.- Enjoy
This is for P10 and P10 Plus, It will work on Honor devices too, just try it!
I extracted this version from the product image (firmware Ctl-L29C33B120a -11.05.2018), the camera contained in system/priv-app doesn't work. I noticed that the sizes are different (the one from product 35mb~ and the one from system/priv-app just 28mb~)
My device is a VTR-L29C605 rebranded to C432, running oreo 8.0B365.
Hit thanks.

Interesting... does it provide any additional options though? Like the 240&960 FPS slow-mo, FHD+ resolution, or the 4D Predictive Focus. Are they working?
EDIT: Also from what I see I need root explorer in order to locate /product/app, am I right?

Yes, you need root, you can use too the native file explorer from TWRP.
About the video features, I haven't tried them
Edit: I recorded a video, FullHD is working, about slow-mo only 120fps, and 4D predictive focus... maybe hardware limitations...

It took me 2/3 days hard brick my new phone, I made a mistake fixing a bootloop when I updated it to oreo (because I rooted it and deleted some apps) I reinstalled the firmware with the hwota method for nougat, bad idea, it ended in Error Mode, I searched a lot for a possible fix, but nothing worked, so I decided relock my bootloader (maybe this was the worst idea that I ever had xD, I ended with a death phone, stuck at Huawei's logo, no fastboot, no recovery, nothing, I sent it to the store where I bought it and they sent it to the tech service, I waited 2 weeks, and my phone was repaired for free , maybe I was lucky but I didn't lose the warranty.
The point is, don't be afraid to play with your phone, just be careful :silly:
(I remember when I bought my notebook 3 years ago, I killed it the first day xD I was trying to install Ubuntu, no internet for download the SO and no pc for burning into a cd or usb, well that's my story.

This is for Oreo, I don't know if it works on Nougat.
