Can we expect dual 4G support in Oneplus 5t having SD835 in upcoming update ?
As Mi A1 having SD625 has recently received via OTA update.

So I see that the OnePlus 3 is listed as supporting Band 12 LTE and it looks like the OnePlus 2 did as well (this would be my first OP device). From what I saw though, the OP2 did not support VOLTE on T-Mobile at launch. How did Band 12 support work then, since I believe T-Mobile requires devices to support VOLTE to use Band 12? And does the OP3 support both?
Yes it does support both

Since the Oneplus 3 is an unlocked phone and T-Mobile is one of several carriers that uses Band 12, they can't force Oneplus to disable/remove Band 12 from the phone, so Band 12 will be supported.
Additionally, per the recent AMA thread from Oneplus, the phone is capable of voLTE.
However, what T-Mobile CAN (and almost certainly will) do is prevent the Oneplus Three from being registered as a supported voLTE device on their network until Oneplus completes their costly/time-consuming voLTE certification.
What this basically means is that until OnePlus jumps through T-Mobile's certification hoops, we'll be able to use Band 12 for data, but as soon as we make/receive a call, we'll be kicked down to H or H+ (assuming we have the coverage).

While I understand that they can't force it, the US models of the Nexus 5x and Moto X Pure launched with Band 12 disabled and only received it in a later update.

The Oneplus 2 was reported to have worked on Band 12 the way I previously mentioned more than a month before the Nexus 5X's release date, and Oneplus still lists Band 12 support for the North American Oneplus 3 on their website.
T-Mobile was also happy to sell you the T-Mobile version of the 5X which was certified for band 12.
Additionally, Band 12 is not as much of a T-Mobile monopoly as it was last year. AT&T just started transitioning to Band 12 last fall, announcing in their status update report to the FCC early last October “many of our devices have been sold with Band 12 filters and can be upgraded via software to support Band 12. We will begin the process of transitioning to Band 12 late in 2015 and / or early 2016.”
All things considered, it would make no sense for Oneplus to disable Band 12 this year.

It's a hardware feature. So don't expect it if RN5PRO doesn't have the hardware to support it.

Well thats true that its hardware feature but it isn't like rn5pro doesnt has it. Its a feature in the chipset of 636, you can think it as of an extra feature for which to enable xiaomi needs to pay extra to qualcomm. Now it depends if xiaomi like their users or not to pay that extra money

Dual volte is present in Global beta rom. Check it here https://youtu.be/PCEBAWuCzKs
Dual volte is supported in oreo roms. And it's present on the beta oreo roms of Indian variant so expect it to roll out when we get the oreo update
Like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 & Redmi Note 5 Pro the real dual 4G VoLTE devices, does the beast of 2017 #OnePlus5T support dual 4G VoLTE it has much n much stronger SoC
Unfortunately no snapdragon 835 doesn't have dual volte. SOC 845 has
Honor View10 also supports dual LTE
So what happens if I have VoLTE enabled for the 1st SIM and I want the second SIM activated too? Settings crash down when I try to activate the 2nd SIM (I'm on OB22 - Pie)
recently the mid range devices from Asus, Xiaomi, Opportunity & Nokia etc supports 4G VoLTE on both the sim as there SoC supports SD 636 & MTK HP60 but for OnePlus 5T it has more superior SoC. Can I wait in next coming days for the same
How can Redmi Note 5 Pro support Dual Sim Dual VoLTE feature?
RN5P sports Snapdragon 636 processor with 4G-LTE X12 modem. X12 modem does not support DSDV feature.
So, how could Xiaomi enable this feature with Oreo update?

Other devices available with Snapdragon 636 support dual volte like asus zenfone Max pro m1 so why can't xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro support it they both are having the same chipset. I have tried using it and it works i can use 2 reliance jio sims at the same time.

Yes, thats my question, when Qualcomm does not support it on 636, how could these companies support it? Did they get Qualcomm to modify 636 to add DSDV?
Just wondering!
https://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/modems/4g-lte/x12
it does support DualSimDualStandby.... so its not a big deal to add Dual VoLTE on Redmi Note 5 Pro
