I want to flash roms but I don't know how project treble works and with Samsung phones
The phone say only support A partition and I see that it's a whole section with partition compatibility A/AB and only A so I don't get it
Please help me and sorry for my bad English
I know this is an old thread, but S9+ is still around, so I'm curious about the answer!

Hello, i'm not here to request a rom port but a little help or hints.
With some guys, we're trying to port LineageOS on the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016 called A310F with Exynos7580)
Actually, we got a working LineageOS, but we got a horrible RIL problem. We don't have SIM detected.
But the strange thing, is that some people got the SIM working (in russia, it's working) and the users of A310M (A3 with dual sim) got it working.
Since two weeks, we're stuck on this. I don't know if it's a kernel or system problem.
Here's the rom : https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/development/rom-lineageos-nougat-t3570838
(i'm not the thread owner, but i'm in the team that help on Telegram)
Thanks !
It is sad to know that our device does not have as many roms as the other models of j2, I would like to know if it will be more rom for the j200h models, I will be very grateful for a clear and concrete
Hi people,
I'm going to get a used Exynos S9 soon and I'm wondering if it's better to get the single sim version for custom rom support. I know that the S7 could be flashed both ways so it would be the same, does this hold for the S9?
Cheers
Teddy
I have the same question. Can someone answer? I see that in many rom threads they don't refer if the model is single or dual sim. So I guess they work in both? Thanks
I'm sure the ROMS work for both variants, it may say in the OP of the ROM you want.
Hello,
I realize this is a popular question, but I figured there has been nothing since May, so I will ask again
Is there any way to root the A505U1 version? I can't enable OEM...
Thank you!
Sorry if i ask a stupid question,
but when searching for it i found contradicting answers.
Also i somehow can not post in the general questions forum so feel free to move this thread over there.
I do own a S9 G960F which i have bought in Germany. But according to the official Samsung support it was produced for the Japan market/ is a Japan version.
The problem i am facing now is that the Japan version apparently does not get One UI 2.5 on Android 10 and instead is stuck on One UI 2.1.
Unfortunatley i do need One UI 2.5 to run a certain app and i am looking for a way to get that to work.
The general idea would be to flash the newest official german firmware for the S9.
According to Wikipedia the japan verson has a Snapdragon processor. So the question i am wondering about is if i can just flash the newest german firmwre using Odin or if that wont work since german phones usually come with the Exynos processor? Do i even have to care about the processor at all when flashing official Samsung firmware?
(Note that OEM unlock is enabled in the developer options. So a locked bootloader will not be an issue)
Thank you in advance for helping a clueless newbie like me.
