If you aren't too concerned about the data on the phone, you can go into recovery from Fastboot, and try reset the phone. Otherwise, I would recommend you check the hardware that everything is plugged in and connected correctly. When i replaced the screen on my OP3, i did not have problems but i made sure to check everything before i snapped it back together for concern of something like this happening. Worst case scenario, i think the recovery mode from fastboot option also has a way to allow USB access to your data.

Can you get it into fastboot mode? If so then you should be able to flash the stock ROM again.
No, it can't be turned on.

Just to verify, if you hold volume up and down and power at the same time it doesn't boot into the bootloader??
That's where the CPU is I think, where you have highlighted.
If it did fry then you can get a replacement but try the bootloader first.
Also the phone will switch off if it gets tell hot too so maybe that's it.
Thanks, I tried to boot into bootloader with or without usb, but it doesn't work

Pull the battery for a minute or two and try again.
Is it still hot?
It'll cool down after i removed the battery, and won't fry if a put the battery again.
But if i press the power button it will get hot.(not very hot, a little warm)
Is there any way that i can start the phone with only usb cable?
So, I might have made a mistake... got my M8 today (yay) and bought it used with GPE rom on it. Well the software kept messing up and I wanted to go back to stock... well I tried fast booting and using a RUU which failed (too many links). I decided to then unplug it and found a horrible screen of htc logo and 4 exclamatory triangles. I can access bootloader by unplugging the device, but the only option is RUU. cannot seem to get anything else.
Connect the phone and post the results of fastboot getvar all and we'l take it from there. If you can also post a screenshot of the bootloader screen that will help

ok, i reset device, unplugged and replugged it, went thru it again and it worked.
You need to make sure its not app, rom, kernel, related, try booting in safe mode to see if problems persits if no then is app related.
If you wipe and reinstal rom and problem persist then this might be help full
Before anything else i sugest you look for zenfone 2 dissambly vids so you get to know what you are going to be doing, it is easy.
Before telling you the solution let me explain my phone symptoms:
1) Ghost touchs, be aware if you have selected show cursor coordinstes or show touch, much of the times this ghost touch doesnt appear.
2) Phone screen starts turning on and off by itself. This is very annoying I tried turning off doble touch to wake but this didnt help.
So what is the solution?
You need to open the back of the phone unscrew everything and then in the charging usb port you need to make sure that the back part of this pice doesnt make contact with the metal back plate. What I did is to use an electrical pice of tape that cut. And simple as that my phone working normal again.
Remeber to screw everything tight as possible.
Pd: i didnt took any pics but im show what part of the phone im referring
Hope this helps have a great day

Can you show more photos of this process?
It doesn't work for me
and the image is for removing antenna cable from other tutorial. don't remove antenna cable.
I managed to get up to the "disable secure boot" section of the tutorial, but when I restarted it, I was unable to confirm whether or not secure boot was actually disabled or not, as my Surface RT has kinda... well, derped out.

I've already attempted to boot from a recovery image I downloaded from Microsoft multiple times, but it refuses to boot from USB even when I hold down the volume-down button before and during the boot process. It just goes back to the same screen complaining about a missing/corrupted Winload.efi.
EDIT: I just noticed that there's a similar thread. From the looks of it, I might need to test with some other USB drives.
EDIT 2: Yup. Just needed a different flash drive. I'm back on the road to Win10 RT!

Wishing you luck! ?
So, I really wanted to get the phone rooted, and I couldn't do it without a recovery, because I can't find the firmware for it no matter what, there is only firmware for 5059d, so when I flashed TWRP for 5059d, it was asking for a password, but I didn't have one. I made one, but TWRP didn't let me mount internal storage. I tried factory reset and it made it even worse, it showed me this image

I tried factory reset but didn't help, then I tried to flash 5059d stock recovery, it worked, but now it does not even want to boot into system, I have tried Wipe data/Factory reset, didn't help. I am stuck now. I did try to flash stock firmware for 5059d, but I can't do it for some reason, SP flashtool throws me some ERROR : STATUS_BROM_CMD_FAIL /0xC0060005) error. I really don't know what to do now, if someone knows to help me, it would be preety cool . This is not my main phone, but I really want to get it fixed. Screw rooting now.
Where did you get the ROM?

May be worth a shot. If I were you I'd first try normally just plugging the usb cable in while the phone is off, and if it doesn't work, take it apart, unplug the battery, and then plug it in
