Hello all,
I'm currently running:
crDroid rom (Build from January 1st 2016)
HTC One M9, 6.0.1 ,unlocked, S-Off, FW: 3.35.617.12
and I can't seem to get the Viper4Android driver to work at all (latest build).
The app can be opened, but I don't get any prompt when trying to install the driver (choosing the mode), so when it installs (or theoretically does) the driver status shows abnormal/unsupported,
which from my experience is caused by SELinux permissive mode not working.
Although, when I boot the system up, it says "setenforce 0" (SuperSU pop-up) meaning permissive mode is being used, and I checked the app and it is indeed on permissive...
I tried:
- Rebooting the device multiple times
- Wiping dalvik and system cache
- Installing the app from the Play store
- Using SELinux app instead of the integrated SELinux
but to no avail, it still didn't work out.
Crdroid was built around Cyanogenmod and I had no problem with V4A when I was running Cyanogenmod 13 nigthly, so I'm not sure what the root of the problem is.
Any suggestions on what I should try next?
Should I try flashing it from the provided zip found here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/help/viper4android-doesnt-conastntly-to-t3315402
Thank you.
Hello,
Now I'm on LineageOS 16 from @NeoArian.
I've builded a kernel based on the source of LineageOS 16 provided by @NeoArian and flashed it via AnyKernel2 script.
After rebooting I've realized that my fingerprint scanner does not work. It was nothing in "Fingerprint" section of settings and when I tried to add a fingerprint, I've got the error (on screenshot).
I've tried to rollback the kernel (reflashed the LineageOS zip) but it wasn't helped.
I've tried to flash MIUI 9 and on this ROM fingerprint sensor works correctly.
After that I've tried to flash LineageOS 16 again but I still got the error.
Logcat (attached) says that the fingerprint could not be written to memory. Is it possible to reset this memory?
Thank you.
I already installed Magisk not sure is version 19.2 or 19.1.
My OS build number is 10.0.9.0 May update.
I install the OTA update following this post.
Now, Magisk Manager shows Magisk 19.3 not installed but actually is installed (Image 1).
Last time when Magisk requires to update, it will show Update Available or something like that.
But now it just shows Magisk not installed.
And Iast time, I can install directly and reboot, but now do not have the options (Image 2).
Please advice how should I update Magisk without bootloop.
Shuold I:
Get 10.0.9.0 boot.img from here
Patch with Magisk 19.3
Fastboot with patched_boot.img
Finally install Magisk?
hi, i had the same problem. i assume you just updated magisk from within the app. i did the same thing and ended up at this point.
to fix that i downloaded the zip file as well as the uninstall zip file from the xda thread. uninstalled magisk using recovery menu. and reinstalled it using recovery menu. (between uninstall and reinstall you will have boot loops... sry) after that it should work again. the only problem i have is that pokemon go doesn't seam to work any more with magisk 19.3 or maybe i am doing something wrong. after a few sec of using it always shows my OS is not supported.
Strange. I did the Magisk update this morning with no problems.
You should be able to fastboot boot a patched boot image, then install Magisk again (direct).
You can use a backup (if you have one), or download a patched image, or patch a vanilla image (if you have one).
If you're worried about the current boot image, you can flash a vanilla image before you boot the patched image.
If you're doing this stuff, you may find some of these instructions useful.

Updated. After I fastboot boot patched_boot.img, the Magisk Manager still the same, showing Magisk 19.3 not installed.
So I reinstall Magisk Manager and finally show Magisk is up to date. And then reboot again, Magisk direct install.
I think last time when updating Magisk Manager it didn't uninstall old Magisk Manager.
End up my phone got 2 Magisk Manager installed.
Luckily no bootloop.
Error when I try to update through app.
This is the log I receive when trying to update from 19.1 using the 19.3 omg file downloaded from the app.

Maybe Magisk Manager does not have your vanilla boot.img.
I think u can try the method I wrote above.

Try to install Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.27.2019.zip via TWRP
Hi
I have installed Lineage Os 16 custom rom for Poco F1.
But the problem is i can't root the device.
I have downloaded the magisk 20.1 zip and the Disable-Force-Encryption-Treble.zip from:
https://magisk.me/root-xiaomi-poco-f1-using-magisk/
I enter the TWRP , i flashed first the disable force encryption zip, i rebooted to twrp , i flashed the magisk and i rebooted the device,
Magisk manager installed properly but when i tap Safety Net Check Success i get the ctsProfile:false.
Rootchecker also gives me the message that root is not properly installed.
Any ideas but if possible without having to format data .
I also tried (after another members suggestion) to flash magisk 19.4, canary magisk but with no results.
thank you in advance
First of all: keep it simple. Set screen lock to swipe. That avoids encryption too. Go twrp and wipe system and re-flash ROM (and GApps if needed) that restores boot image.
Second: try rooting with lineageOS native addonsu from download/extras. Enable it in developer options.
I just updated my OnePlus 6T using the updater and after the update was done I went into Magisk to install to inactive slot and it says "Can't load Android system. Your data may be corrupt...." on slot b, slot a works fine. I haven't done anything different than any other OTA. I tried the copy file on the official lineage page but it didn't work. What should I do?
