I forced my device to the Indonesia non stable android Pie update like many others.
Now I'm in Argentina getting only a 85mb Update to Android Pie that won't install as it says "error of installation".
What to do?

Same here I get install error I did enable camera api2 via the guide here it was the only change I made using the boot.img to boot and then using abd commands, did you modify yours?

No, I did absolutely nothing. Just force the installation with the vpn weeks ago. And now this error like a punishment

I had the error as well.. but then I have unlocked bootloader and magisk.. I reverted to Oreo with miflash and updated to pie after that no problem.
Frustrating to have to set everything back up, but usining Google restore + ti backup, back up and going pretty quickly
Not sure what to tell you without unlocking your bootloader
I'm having the same issue.
Can't seem to be able to install the update.
Tried several networks but fails all the time.
Noo one else of the miriads/thousands who forced the update is having this problem?

People is saying to go back to Oreo and then update from there is the only solution, but every data is factory reseted.

Yeah, I've noticed that but i don't have a working computer to do it now. Will have to wait or check other solution.
I had this problem and was able to fix it by simply flashing the stock boot.img and system.img. No need to downgrade to Oreo or to lose data.

Yes, magisk is for rooting, you don't need to install it if you don't want. You also won't be able to flash the .img files that i said if your bootloader isn't unlocked. Your best bet would be using mi flash with the option to flash the image and keep user data intact.

This is good, it is not seems for sds. Download odin 3 v1.87 and try with this, it is old but very good. Before run odin disconnect from Internet and flash it. If it fails again try another usb port or if you have a usb hub which has it's power source (not taking power from USB port only) connect the phone to hub the hub to computer and try to flash again. This happened many times to me, odin was failing to flash at every usb port of my computer except if I had connected it to a hub which had it's own power source. I think it has to do with the voltage at usb port. If you can't find odin 3 1.87 quote my post and ask for it to upload.

Work as well but the rom is not pre-rooted
It is rare because the 368 version works well without applying the TFT. one with zip rom longer works

sorry but he's asking that because usually there are some shiro's roms that request the Philz recovery only...and it's a smart question, i have the TWRP too at the moment...so i need to know if it's possible to use TWRP without an issue!

Booted after aprox 10 min, then installed gapps from OP
Everything works, seems a good rom

I received a version 2.44 OTA update. I can't read it so I don't know what it improves. Wifi is better and at 5ghz now. Spoke too soon, it reverted back to 2.4ghz. I will test out camera in daytime see if it improves stability wise, etc.
Unfortunately the seller installed me (despite saying no) a modified rom, I can not receive OTAs and at the moment I do not know how to install the original Chinese firmware. In these last two OTAs it shows improvement in the camera, battery and fluidity?

hello, for those who have the modified rom, i think you can install the cn official one, because the smartphone is the same.
- download it with link in the 1rst post
- copy it in the smartphone
- settings > system update > settings > update by disk > select the downloaded zip
- follow instructions et let it run to the end
It should not erase your files and settings.
Go in settings > about the phone > your version should be a cn one (not en).
I receive mine in cn rom, there's no Google services nore play. We must wait for a TWRP for installing gapps.

In the recovery of this Nubia only the option to update from the SD appears? (Nubia Z17 does not support SD) or by OTG. I downloaded the official Chinese ROM, but my OTG is micro USB, I tried with a USB type C adapter and I do not recognize it. This Wednesday I leave a USB OTG type C: first check that recognize it and if so, I will try to install the Chinese firmware. Really, I have serious doubts that he is capable.
And at the moment there is only root and twrp for the Nubia Z17 mini.

This is not true. The official Rom is multilanguage. There a several languages included. The translations aren't the best but it does the job.

Why did you upgrade mcu?
Did you upgrade the mcu for the same manufacturer ?
Same mtce_XXX as the one you were before upgrading?
You can go back to the mcu you had before...what mcu version did you have?

I did upgrade because everytime turn off car and on next start screen was black and I need to make reset.
With this MCU this doesn't happen.

The swc are pre-recorded into the canbus
I suggest you to downgrade
Or just use the guideline I linked to untie the swc from canbus that allows you to assign functions to the buttons

Then use the steering wheel learning app that is already installed and use it to assign functions.
Press button and you will see that it is recognized as pressing then assign a function based on avilaale selectable functions

Downgrade to a mcu in which it worked before.
