I have an LG G7 (G710EM model) and my phone has an visible digitizer grid on my screen... The grid is visible as a lot of horizontal lines that are barely visible, but are visible and while it doesn't affect the good resolution of the screen, it is a bit annoying to see all the lines when I look at my screen closely... It is visible mostly on brighter colors.... Is it normal or is it a defect?
Hello. I've seen this too. I think that what you're seeing is the white subpixel used for boost screen brightness.

Hello, I purchased white GN2 and noticed that the display has vertical and horizontal lines, that are faintly visible, especially on gray background. Should I consider it a defect and inquire for exchange or it's normal with AMOLED displays. You can see photos of the display attached to the post
Yeah if that's on full brightness only on gray, then it's probably alright. Also, use a custom kernel with color calibrations if possible.
My moto 360 seems to have a grey ish patch above the bezel which is visible on a white background when the watch screen is dim. I'm wondering if it's a defect or if other people have the same thing - here are the best pictures I could get: http://i.imgur.com/qYIo84F.jpg [1]

Look just below "Sun 9" and above the bezel, and the white looks muddier, almost grey. It's more noticeable in person. It's always like that on a dim brightness, when the brightness is high it looks perfectly white.
Do other people have this too?
I believe I have a very very small spot kind of like yours. They are typically caused by uneven pressure on the LCD screen. If mine has a spot like that it is just above the flat tire, I can't always see it and nobody else can. I have no stuck or dead pixels so it doesn't really bother me.
My screen on the top is more brighter and gives a gradient efect to the status bar or notification bar. Anyone notice that? I saw 3 LG G4 and all seems to have this. And a little light bleed on the bottom which is not very visible. How are yours? Pics : http://imgur.com/a/zCuO4 http://imgur.com/DFQOTuY
same here
In the shop seem like this too
Dual sim H818P model, Thailand
I went yesterday to a Vodafone shop and the G4 from their showroom was the same. A bit lighter in the top of the display. I guess all are the same. But why LG let this happend?
I'm not seeing it on my H812. I'll check my girlfriend's G4 in the morning and see if hers is any different but mine looks solid.
Lg G4 from android authority. Clearly a gradient in the top of the display http://cdn02.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/lg-g4-review-aa-28-of-34-710x399.jpg
Same here. The ones having this "problem" have colder white point and much more brightness than the ones without this problem with the warmer white point of white
Seems different panels were used
Same on the Nexus 5X. It does look cool, its very eaven and very small so it looks like status bar is in fact supposed to be gradient. However there is no light bleed on black screen. No bleeding at all, only when the status bar is colored with bright color, like green, red or orange. Full black screen at full brightnes head on has no light bleeding at all. It may be that LG uses the same binding process of display to midframe like on the G4. Because the pannels are obiously different at least in terms of the resolution but also the size.
For me was annoying enough to return the phone and get another phone from another brand. I tested 4 LG G4 and all have this gradient on the top of the screen, so replacing the phone with same model wasn't a solution. @sageman yes,you are right. I saw a Nexus 5X in a local store with the same issue.
When displaying a pure black image on the p2 the bottom left 1/3 of screen has a slight yellow glow to it when you look at it in a dark room. The same area looks more warmer than the rest when displaying grey. Anyone else noticed this? From searching around I've seen complaints about similar issues on some other amoled screens on nokia, oneplus, lg etc. So much for amoled showing pure black, if you want that it looks like you have to get a samsung phone. It's still better when compared to IPS but the uneven tone can be annoying.

I noticed this in dark environment, this is mostly visible when you pull down notification bar, I don't know the reason but noticed this - not a major issue.
Hello, I just bought an S20 + and instantly I have noticed that the image quality is a little strange, the letters especially on black backgrounds look like with a reddish outline not very noticeable but enough to bother me and some images in general are come as low quality. I came from using an A71 where everything looked correctly maybe that's why I notice the problem so much.
I was reading on forums where they say the S20 has various display issues, especially the ones made in Vietnam like mine. Others say that the reddish tone is due to the screen protector that comes pre applied. I would like to know if anyone else has noticed these details or if it is just a problem with the firmware that can be fixed later. Thank you. Sorry my bad English.
This may have something to do with display's subpixel layout and subpixel rendering, but the effect should be very subtle, not immediately apparent.
Tell us face-to-phone distance in centimeters when you start seeing the effect, display's settings such as brightness, resolution and refresh rate, where exactly are you seeing this (name of the app, dark mode on or off), font size, visible in darkness or in well lit environments as well?
Best thing to do, if possible, is to go to a local store that has S20+ on display, and compare, or if inside glass showcase, ask if they can turn it on and show it to you.
Also, that factory screen protector is known to be of not the highest quality.

Thanks for answer. I have managed to reduce the reddish effect by calibrating the screen because it was warm by default. The blurring effect of the letters decreases a bit when using it in 1440p..... but I have noticed that it may be a problem with my eyes because the same effect occurs when I look closely at my PC screen (10 centimeters), black text with reddish tint. I will try to go to a local store and compare with another s20+. As I mentioned it's little noticeable, maybe I have very demanding eyes.
I wont remove the factory protector for now, although I know the screen would look better without it.
My complaint about low quality monitors at work and with phones has been resolved with visit at the optician, and i dont mean to offend you here but seriously since i have glasses screen looks finally sharp again!
