Hi all. s it possible to port Halium / Ubports on whyred? For whyred, the los 14.1 ROM, was laid out, but there are no source codes, and it’s too long to build the device tree itself.
The reason: just interesting. Bored with Android ROM, and you want something new!

OnePlus should implement it, but they said they won't....
I hope for someone porting it (maybe OnePlus itself, who knows...)

Hi friends,
Because lineageOS stop supporting xiaomi devices this month, so I decided to build LOS 16 ROM for sagit myself.
I have some experience of using linux, but that is my first time to build an Android rom.
I follow the official guide to build. https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sagit/build And I got the freshable zip rom "successfully".
However, after I install it via the lastest TWRP, it stuck on the boot MI logo and can not enter the system.
I ask one oneplus developer, he told me some xiaomi device need specific clang version, but he can not give me a solution. I come here and hope someone can give me some propose.

UPDATE, I found los group ready the re-support xiaomi device. https://github.com/LineageOS/hudson/commit/9e0206569670a2566562e000b9f1e3492eacca83
But I still hope get some answer just for study.

UPDATE II
I found the reason that I use a wrong branch of VT repo. I use another VT repo in gitlab when the github repo was closed because of DMCA. And the default branch of the gitlab one is not LOS16. My bad. Sorry to bother everyone.

I'm having a hard time estimating my time right now but I hope to get it done as soon as possible.
Is this abandoned by now or is there still hope?
Will any Arrow or Los cooker work on a rom for Xiaomi pad 5? It's strange to not see a rom for a Xiaomi device.

Sorry but gsi aren't official roms, built for this specific device. For this reason I asked if cookers are waiting for a12L to work on a rom or if they want to create it.

Understood, but don't hold your breath
Maybe they are waiting for a source code release...
You can use this tree to build other ROM now.

Awesome news. Does someone know why https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...icial-lineageos-19-1-xiaomi-mi-pad-5.4492473/ is closed for replies? Is that effort no longer ongoing?
So it'll have custom ROM support that's not only gsi? Nice
