I saw this in a site and i'm very tempted to buy it, but first i'd like to know your opinion.

I've got the lens and what can I say ?
The quality of the photos is okay, but the biggest fault with this is, that you can't zoom in or out, the lens does 10x zoom and can't be adjusted.
All in all kinda cool, but not really usable

Can someone share some pictures made with this lens?

FFC Camera

Where are you guys purchasing you FFC's from?? Im looking to do the mod on several phones, mine and some family members phones. I have found some on the web but want some input from my fellow galaxy s'ers.

You can get them off eBay. But mobile tech video has them and they are not supposed to have any bandit issues. They are more pricey tho.

I've got that camera waiting in my "Saved for Later".
If it does have the banding, this occurs in the rear not the FFC, right?
Don't really care if it happens in the FFC, but don't want to mess up the main.

I'm not really sure, I'm trying to dig up all the old FFC threads, because there's really no support for it anymore, but I'll figure things out and let you guys know.
I'm on CM7, hopefully I find the camera hack for it.

Look, its a no brainer, yes Mobile Tech is a bit pricier, but, I can tell you from personal experience, that I did the Mod twice, 1st time with a V.1 camera= so-so results, lots of banding.
Then I got one from Josh at MTech, a V.2 what a difference, especially in low light situations!
So again its a no brainer, If you buy from Amazon, its a computer item to them, and they wont give any latitude on that at all!
So your cost for shipping starts at $7.99 =.65= a total of $8.64 then add $14.99 for purchase and its now= $23.63 Plus I guarantee its a V1 camera at that price.
Now Josh sells for $45.00 that Includes shipping, so subtotal 45-8.64= $36.36 So for an additional $13.00 you get a guaranteed V2 camera that's fresh made. Plus he backs his products up.
Saving a few dollars is foolish when ensures a quality upgrade to the vibrant. However if your doing this Mod in batches and for other people or family and you don't care about quality then buy the cheap ones from amazon, and then it'll be over $25 and shipping is free!.
Point is if your gonna do this Mod for your personal phone and you want quality then get it from Josh at Mobile Tech and get a for sure V2 FFC
All I can say is the V2 is Superior in image quality hands down from the V1 series!!

Some people have reported that the Amazon one is a rev2, now of course I can't be sure until I test it. Besides, I wasn't even going to do this FFC mod, the only reason I'm doing it is because my camera decided to die and I figured 'Why the hell not?' Now, I get your point, and I completely agree, you get what you pay for.

If late to FFC Vibrant Party - new place to buy

So I don't know how many people is late for the FFC party. I didn't jump on the bandwagon at the time because I didn't see a need for it. However now when Skype is supporting video calling and other fun things you can do with the camera in ICS, I wanted to get one. However when going to www.globaldirectparts.com now it will tell you that they only sell to repair companies and such and not for individual use. So I went and looked somewhere else and run into these guys on Amazon. I haven't got it yet but I ordered it today. But it is a rev2 so hoping that it will turn out good.

Update: New link and it says it is a rev2 Whole Sale Gadget Camera (Revision 2) for Samsung i9000 Galaxy S
So I emailed Whole Sale Gadget and they said they only carry rev2 so that is what I will be expecting.
Update: So I got two cameras. One to replace the other. They both said Rev2 on them however the first one did not have a working front facing camera, and the second one the back end camera had a big green hue with a small area in the middle that looked normal. I believe that one is ver 1 though, some said amazon ships out v2 as well but not all. V2 is supposedly significantly better than v1. Just a heads up.

That's a rev 1 camera, I have one that I purchase from ebay with same ribbon prints.
I you want the real deal go with mobiletechvideos or rip the camera from a galaxy s 4g (ebay,craiglist)

Looks like your chances of getting a v2 from that Amazon vender is 50/50.
Remembering another thread, two guys received a v1 but then were sent v2s when they complained. One fellow and myself were sent v2s at first.

I bet its a v1, Like I said, I bough a ffc from ebay and says rev 2 in the ribbon cable yet I get horrible banding under low light.

Now this is confusing me. I had bought one from that exact ebay seller received a "V0.2"
which is rev 2 I'm guessing and still experience the banding issue in low light.

It is a legit rev2. I got it yesterday and I installed it. Now I'm running into the problem that ICS passion is not working with ffc.

I haven't yet. I did email them and they said it is the stock rev2 camera. They also said that they have many customers ordering from the USA. Maybe if we pool together so we don't have to spend the huge amount of shipping individually. I don't know. The Amazon guys burned me twice with their useless cameras. Although they had very good customer service and not sure how I ended up with the two malfunctioning ones.

I'd be down to get in on this

I've been wanting to get a FFC for a while now, but I'm running ICS passion, and if ffc doesn't work with it, then it is pointless...

Back camera is grainy and not clear.

My son gave me a Note 4 910a that was bought on craigslist. I am having problem with the clarity of the camera. It is grainy at best and not clear like the front camera. What can I do or is this hardware?

There was a known hardware issue with the camera in some of the batches of this phone. I bought mine from an at&t store in March of 2015 and realized that my camera was taking pictures that were very grainy. Luckily I noticed this within the first 2 weeks because they were able to give me a brand new phone and not a refurbished one. No problems on my new one.
I've heard it's possible to buy a new camera module and install it and that it's not that difficult.

Some people who had problem disable s-health and this improve camera some how. I had problem with my old note 4 and I had to replace camera module. Cost $15 on ebay and 20 min of stress with help of YouTube video. Good luck.

I would go to Huawei forums and post it or contact the store you bought it from and ask them to contact huawei about this, its software related i believe
