No, you need to go to recovery, select sideload with adb and then you can use adb commands to send the ota

First, "adb devices" only works if you're booted into the system or recovery. If you're booted into the bootloader you need to use fastboot commands, "fastboot devices".
You need to be booted into the stock recovery to sideload an ota. But if you're booted into the bootloader can't you use the volume keys to get to recovery?
Finally, do you have the latest sdk platform tools? r28.0.2 is the latest and if you don't have an r28 version you'll get errors flashing.

I fixed it back to stock by simply using a different usb port and running flash-all. I know i should have tried that earlier but all i did was try two different chords. I was using type c to the type c port on my laptop. I switched it to the normal usb slot and it worked. Thanks for all the advise guys

Glad you got it. I'm not sure if anybody has gotten a c to c to work. I haven't heard of anyone but I've heard a lot from people where it doesn't work.

while in fastboot mode, you need to install the fastboot drivers, if your windows still saying USB not recognized then change the ports.

Thanks bro ,
I have tried both methods. When i tried to list device("adb devices") it not showing my mobile. It guess the problem with USB debug is OFF.
Connecting mobile in fastboot mode gives the following notification on my pc.

But, my mobile is recognized only in Android Multi Tools Application, where it list my device. Unfortunately it also fails to show the mobile on fastboot mode.
LMAO!! enabling USB debugging is the most important part.
As i said, there is a problem with your USB port or mobile data cable.

Go to the nokia n1 general forum and click the link "Nokia n1 Rooted with Google Play" and install adb systemwide according to step 1, then download and unpack the file from step 2 and follow step 4 till 6 until you get in to clockwork recovery from there go to advanced storage and do data wipe/factory reset (this will clean the bootloop you may be experiencing and brings back the nokia n1 to its first boot) hope this helps, if not please say so and i try to help you out.

I have same trouble ((
If you're in fatsboot mode adb commands are useless. You have to flash a different recovery and afterwards a different rom. I ported my N1 from A5CNB19 to A5FMB19 (taiwan version with google services) in the same way. First find out a recovery so:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
Then
fastboot flash system system.img
And your N1 will be back with play services
You need the minimal adb and fastboot drivers installed on your pc
Hi all, I found the entrance for the brick write Whats App +79621045474
Update: I used Linux machine instead of Windows and the latest kernel works now.
Kernel modifications:
default.prop modified
ro.secure=0
ro.debuggable=1
Requirement:
1. Your L1
2. Installed drivers (Sony so0112 for both ADB and fastboot)
3. Your phone has to be bootloader unlocked
Warning: your phone will be wiped including DRM and there's no backup solution for Android 7
4. Magisk downloaded and installed
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk
5. This modified kernel (sorry, I don't know how to make TWRP so no recovery at this time)
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329056251 (patched with Magisk)
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=889964283620760970 (modified but not patched with Magisk)
Kernel is for G3313, but it should work with other variations.
6. Working ADB
Instructions:
1. enable your phone debug options. Go to About Devices >>> Build Number and hit 7 times until you see Developers Options. Go there to enable USB Debugging and Allow OEM Unlock.
2. plug in your phone and make sure ADB is working
Code:
adb devices
If you don't see it, go to Device Manager and see whether Sony so0112 ADB driver installed. If it's working, go to 3
3. copy the modified kernel to your phone (make sure your phone USB is in file transfer mode) internal memory Downloads folder
4. install and open Magisk and install and patch boot file and locate the downloaded file.
5. locate patched kernel from internal memory /Magiskmanager/ and copy patched_boot.img and copy to your host computer.
6. go to command prompt and copy your ADB folder address and open your file explorer and copy the patched kernel there (e.g. Downloads)
7. use this command to go to fastboot mode
Code:
adb reboot fastboot
If you never unlock the bootloader, you have to write down your phone IMEI and go to https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/ and follow the instruction.
8. if your bootloader unlocked, enter the following command
Code:
fastboot flash boot
and drag the patched kernel and press enter.
9. enter
Code:
fastboot reboot
10. once you're back to the system, enter Magisk Manager again to check boot status. You may be prompted to install a module for Safety Net.
11. your phone is rooted. Done

It's pretty straightforward.
After the installation, copy the downloaded boot image to your phone and let Magisk get the zip and patch your image file.
Once the image patched, copy the patched image back to host computer and flash in fastboot.

I have checked and I found it cannot read SIM.
You can flash back to 100% stock using flashtool. There's a problem with kernel and probably something is missing.

6. Power off the phone and flash ONLY "BOOT_DELIVERY" from a Marshmallow firmware with Flashtool ( exclude all other patitions), you must only see
"boot_delivery.xml" in the "Content" column.
AND
18. Power off the phone again and repeat step 6 with your actual Nougat firmware or the phone will not detect Sim Card(s)

I will upload new boot image. This time I did it in Linux (Ubuntu) platform instead of Windows. It tested on mine and SIM is working now.
Try this one https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329056251
It's already patched with Magisk, but you may need to install the zip anyway

Don't try with G3311!!
I tried this with my G3311 and it put it into a boot loop (couldn't even turn device off or enter flash/fastboot mode) I had to take out the battery and replug it just to get into flash mode so I could restore to official Software
This will most likely work for everyone else that had a bootloop after trying this :good:

Which kernel did you use?
You should try with the one before patched with Magisk, and let Magisk patch it for you, and flash that one patched by yours.
There may be something going wrong during the process while I read he has no problem (with reception) and you got bootloop.

I realised where I went wrong it's was all my mistake so my last post was incorrect I used Sony Mobile Flasher to unlock bootloader instead of enabling it in developer settings and then flashed my device with your latest update you commented earlier and it's finally worked :victory:
Great work on the boot.img trying to get it working on my L1 now. I'm missing something tho.
Unlocked bootloader
ADB
Fastboot
Downloaded files
I have to hold volume up while inserting USB to enter fastboot (confirmed by Blue led)
When I executed fastboot code and drag images file over I get an error about unknown directory or it'll just rerun the fastboot help screen

.... Wait for it..... Yeah I see I screwed up. Give it another go later after work

Try what I did and download Sony Mobile Flasher and press the 'BLU' (Bootloader unlock) button just to make sure your boot loader really is unlocked or maybe you just enabled OEM unlock in Dev settings but didn't use the tool mentioned above to correctly unlock the bootloader. If that's not the case then did you flash the latest boot image that has been posted in the comments by OP
I did bootloader unlock using fastboot method
It isn't just "fastboot oem unlock". Instead, you have to enter fastboot command as directed with given unlocked code.

Mingkee is right but I just used Sony Mobile Flasher to unlock bootloader instead works just as well with the click of a button
Actually, I won't end from here.
Since I have set up a dedicated Linux machine, I will try to go further to make recovery.
Hi, friends..
until now I'm still looking for QFIL ROM / Qfil File for Flashing My Hard bricked device.
is there anyone who owns the file? or just know where I can download it? I really need that.
just information, my device is not able to boot, can not enter fastboot, can not enter recovery mode, Just red led blinking, and on PC detected as 9008.
I've tried the method using adb / cmd, but unfortunately my device is not detected on adb / cmd. very ironic, whereas in device manager detected as 9008.
I am very grateful if there is a member here who can provide solutions to my problems.
the only thing that makes me feel that my device can still be used is because it still detected as 9008. da the only last hope is only QFIL method.
regards

There is no need adb in this methode
You told that your device is detected in device manager then this methode work for you
before all started, first recharge your p2 for 1/2 an hour to make sure enough battery more than 20%,
install lenovo p2 usb driver: https://mega.nz/#!rQgjACaJ!-ZV...VEe7yGZ-jr4ijarO704T7x2IQdVjeU,
install qualcomm usb driver:
https://mega.nz/#!GNRWiQrJ!ASp...4EUiK_ba5YtlZUTQHP_r_P4Dd7hSZg
reboot your pc,
connect your p2 to pc,
go to pc device manager, you will see in pc device manager like in screenshot, if you didn't see like that press vol +and- togather with power button, hold all of them till appear like screenshoot
now download zip file blankflash tool https://mega.nz/#!PIZ0GChJ!3Rh...YQT_5ppZGxcconOntG1-d75vNK1Vg8, extract it, and place it in c folder your pc,
open folder and run blank-flash.bat,
automaticly your p2 will start reboot to fastboot,
or if your rom still intack p2 will reboot to system os,
Or if no os, now you can flash rom from fastboot
congratulation now your p2 back to live.

You still a chance see the video and if any error just open blank flash when you see the detecting device just press v- and power key released when show waiting for firehorse
even i had same issue. did u sort any solution for the problem?
just uncompress blankflash.zip which can be found in "mbm-ci" folder and run blank-flash.bat, it'll get you in bootloader from there you can flash the normal fastboot ROM ?
