I have installed this ROM (CARBON-KK-UNOFFICIAL_odin_build35.zip) then I installed lightning kernel stock .283 Version 5. The phone work fine for many hours, but it overheat, and the battery drain too fast. I put it to charge, I turned on my phone, so far so good, I made I video call and the phone overheat too much and turned off by itself. Now when I try to turned on it, the phone turned off automatic, I can connect it in Fastboot and Flashmode, I could install the stock ROM via flashtool, but the phone turn off after show the logo. I can flash a recovery and I can get in, and re-flash other roms but after the logo the phone turned off. What can I do? put it on the trash? :crying:

help someone the same thing happened with me was using the beta4 paranoid and did the flash of lightning to cm11 kernel and now my zl only works plugged into the charger .
already tried going to stock by flashtools have not solved the unlocked bootloader
someone help please
did anyone find a solution ??
thnx
Very interesting. I had also Carbon ROM and then installed lightning kernel and had the same issues as you mentioned. Phone reboots suddenly when using too much processor power for example navigation.
Then I was only able to use the phone when it was plugged in the charger. I thought it has nothing to do with the lightning kernel because many others have also the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-zl/general/phone-starts-connected-to-charger-t2864009
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534327
And now you say it happened after flashing the lightning kernel, its weird.
Mine is being repaired right now. I managed to lock bootloader back and restore original firmware.
Hope it gets the defect parts replaced.
the problem where phone will only run while plugged into charger, seems almost certainly due to heat.
lightning kernel, when installed is set at overclocked values for cpu/gpu, which naturally will generate more heat.
5-10 minutes after installing lightning kernel, my phone will start randomly rebooting on its own even if i am doing nothing at all with it. also feels extremely warm to the touch.
so the first thing i do after installing lightning kernel is lower the cpu/gpu values to thier default settings. problem solved. i do not use the kernel for overclocking....only need it for the DT2W/S2W features, and a few other tweaks. works perfectly fine for my needs. :good:
keeping fingers crossed that i do not run into this issue :fingers-crossed:
Your battery is dead!
Replace it and works fine!!
Also happened to me.
Hi guys , since my phone came from sony repair shop I had problems with battery. When it comes to 55% it suddenly drops to 0% and shuts down . Then I put it on charger and let it charge to 3-4% and then do hard reset , after that phone shows about 50-70% and after every hard reset battery precentage increases but then it drops to 0% after some time, I tried everything to solve problem , factory reset. downgrade ROM , install custom ROM, use sony pc companion repair and none of that helped so i decided to buy a new battery and I replaced the old battery but I'm still having same problem, I also did wipe reset and install new official rom with new battery but that didn't helped . I dont know what to do anymore . Please someone help
My battery just became normal. No draining issues. Month before I had same quick draining issues. In my case this quick drain was because of many background apps which heats up battery then I switched off my phone until it gets cool then I Factory reset my phone and cleared internal storage then flashed new ROM then my battery started discharging normally...try this once.

Hello Everyone,
I'm on stock rom OSS 3.4.8 with no modifications, NO ROOT, NO APPS installed, Stock recovery with bootloader locked and still I'm getting very bad battery life. Phone is warm to touch when idle (screen off)
If I leave phone switched ON at night battery dies till morning.
Any solution?
For some reason when I am charging my phone the battery recharge level only reaches 94%. I am currently running stock with the bootloader locked, but previously I have unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp and various ROMs. Does anyone have any idea what would be creating this bug? Perhaps deleting battery stats would be the answer?
Hey guys I've a problem with the battery of my mzp, the duration in this days was poor, check the images below
In the last screenshot was from 3 days ago
Stock 7.1.1 ROM by flashallthetime + substratum
Any ideas ?
I'm also having very very bad battery life after the 7.1.1!
Hi guys, you need to recalibrate the battery.
To do so (according to a Motorola official video) you have to first perform a force restart (hold power until it restarts by itself) then fully charge the phone to 100% without using it, then keep the phone for another 2 hours plugged in without using it. That will recalibrate the battery. I did this and I'm back to 6 - 7 sot with everything activated.
If you already have flashed a stock rom with twrp, try to flash the stock 6.0.1 Marshmallow rom build by flashallthetime. You should get 10-12h of screen on time.
