Hi All,
I can't decide which case to get for my XDA EXEC.
I would like to use it on my belt occasionaly, so one with a belt clip or loop would be preferred.
From your experiences, which case is the best to go for ?
Thanks.
The t-mobile 6315 case is the best I tried until now (my 3rd for the Universal). It is a holster type, as in, you carry it on your belt and take the Universal out to use it.
It is a surprisingly good fit, and it is very easy to take the device out and put it back in, at the same time, it is very safe when it is sitting on your belt.
The guy I bought it from at ebay has 2 left
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HP-iPAQ-OEM...840044486QQcategoryZ15036QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And it costs you 1/4 of anything else you are going to buy out there.
Doesn't look like he ships to the UK though !
Does size matter?
atekant,
I looked up the dimensions of the iPAQ 6315 and compared them to the JasJar. Here they are:
iPAQ JasJar
118.872 mm 127.7 mm
74.93 mm 81 mm
18.542 mm 25 mm
So based on the demensions posted by HP and imate, the JasJar is larger than the 6315. Since I'm used to seeing demensions in inches/feet, I have no idea if these differences are significant. Do you find that the case is too small? Did you have to modify it? Because if not, I may end up purchasing one from www.casesonline.com, but get a slightly different color combo than the one you found on ebay. Thank you for any help.
This same guy has 52 under a different listing, very quick delivery BTW.

weather, the fit is perfect, not tight and not loose, the Uni just goes in & out easily, yet the clip is tight on the belt. This is actually near identical to the HP case (larger one) selling for U$49 retail.

I had the same questions when ordering it, and I was quite sure it would end up being too tight, but it is not tight at all.
The front, back, and the flip cover (with magnetic closure) is leather (I mean fake leather like substance, but not bad). The bottom, and the sides are elastic bands (about 1 inch wide) and have enough give to let the Universal slide in, and at the same time hold it tight enough.
You flip open the top and the case opens like a change purse would so you can slide your fingers in to grab the device.
I have stopped looking for a case for the Universal, that is how happy I am with it.
Thank you both....
Wow, that was a fast reply. Thank you. It sounds like I may the specific case that you bought (with the elastic bands on the side). So I might hold off on buying the one from casesonline. One last question..... Is there a slot to hold SD cards? Thanks again.
Has 2 slots. Go for it, best $12 I ever spent
I got mine yesterday. First when I open it, I felt as it seems it was made from not such a high quality material.
But when I try to use it, I was extremelly happy.
It was indeed made for the Universal! It fits very well, and very comfortable to put in the Universal and take it out. The belt clip is very nice as well. Finally, I reach the point where I can stop hunting for a perfect case for my Universal. I have tried few before: the original case that I modified with a belt clip, the metal case, and a PDA keyboard case. And this one is the best and I'm going to use it with my Universal from this point forward.
I feel upset with imate or HTC though, if they can sell a device with $1000 price, they should be able to include such a perfect case that only cost $5.
I guess this case is just perfectly made for Universal.
Some pictures of this case
Here are some pictures of my Universal case for the benefits of all of you. Like I said, it simply fits the Universal nicely. Look at the bottom cut, this allows you to take out the Universal easily. And I have no more problem with the stylus flying out when pulling the Universal out of the case (the problem with the original Universal case). Best value for the price ($5 plus tax and shipping, around $14) that you can get.
Does it have a belt clip or a belt loop? You missed taking a picture of the back. Please.
Hi,
strange that there is - still - no separate "carrying case" with a holster available for the i-mate JASJAR / Qtek 9000 other than cases offering complete insertion of the device thus being forced also to work with the device inserted.
Good news:
Expansys will be offering one, watch out here
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=125516
Bad news:
It is EUR 53 here in Europe, which is quite a lot :-(
Second: Expansys is not really renowned for keeping the price it announces before availability of product, neither do they keep dates of delivery. (This product was first announced as "available before Christmas", then 23 Dec., then 2 Jan., now 6 Jan. in Europe, which is a public holiday in many countries here...)
Expansys says the manufacturer is "Premier Systems", though Google does not seem to know a manufacturer under this name.
Obviously this is just some fantasy brand producing for Expansys ???
Does anyone know who is producing this case or hides behind "Premier Systems" ?
(Strange enough that none of the big case manufacturers: Covertec, Krusell, ... offers such a case for the device.)
As my last PDA was an iPAQ 4700, for which I purchased the original holster case, I tried it out for my Qtek 9000 (identical with the im-mat JASJAR).
Almost fits perfectly
(Bad: Now my iPAQ, which is still a cute device, however lacking GSM connectivity, is "naked"...)
The 6315 is similar in size to the hx4700 afair, though I never saw the case one guy described here (attached photos a few posts downwards).
Ok, there we go. The back of the case.
Its a belt clip, not a loop. Very comfortable, its not moving around, not too lose, not too tight, just perfect.
Originally I was thinking to buy that XaX case as well, but its too expensive ($50?) and there is an opening on top intended for the headphone, but I dun like it considering if there is a rain drop into it, that's it.

Hi, no I ment the case for HP 6340 which is being sold on ebay (but only in USA ). Thanks anyway.
Marry christmas and happy new year to all of you
I've been able to compare both colors in my Universal. The reason, I ordered a white Silicone case - as my model is silver/white color - in Ebay, and received from Hong Kong a black one... damm it!... but the sellers' reaction was pretty good and fastly sent me a new white one as well.. good seller.
In the end, I have both colors..
I thought white color (cream, almost transparent) was gonna fit in much better than the black one, but must admit the black one is much more beautiful. it makes it aparently more compact, nicer, even though mine is sylver.
In the end, if I had to choose again, I'd choose Black, despite it is a bit dirtier than the white one, and gets more dust.
the only thing I am a bit dissapointed at is that Sil. cases don't really protect your UNIV. from almost any fall down or so, they are so thin!..
jmcl, where did you order it from? do you have any pictures of it?
thanks.

I have the black silicone case and am really happy with it. I ordered the black one from ebay and it came just as promised from Bangkok to the Netherlands without probs. Ordering from ebay was also easy using paypal that also has some buyer protection. I also thought the black would look weird with my silver universal, but it looks really good, it's a nice combination. I decided to go with this one over the boxwave silicone cases because I didn't like the pictures. They showed that the cut-outs were off and didn't show the way a universal looked normally (only portrait mode and poorly at that). Google for silicone case, dopod 900 and find a site called pda4thai and find some nice pics of the black case.
In use I can recommend a silicone case. It may not protect well against a good fall, but it will certainly help prevent one for me. When handling my universal I have a good amount of grip on it, whether closed or open, thus preventing it from sliping out of my hand or off of a table. Also it protects my device well from any dirty/fatty fingers that you may have.
As to transporting capabilities, I use the silicone case in combination with the piel frama pouch case (with the silicone case on the universal slides in slowly, but surely) and then use the headset to receive calls/listen to music.

Just change .ebay.es to .ebay.com (or whichever country you are in!) and you can then purchase that item with your ebay ID...
I just bought a cover for my Iconia A100. The thing is that there's not too many accessories here in Argentina for may new flaming tab.
I need a skin to protect (and change the glossy blue back with the Acer logo) the back of it from scratches, a stand to put it next to my laptop at work and I'm sure I'll think of a few more once I get those lol
The thing is. I was thinking on DealExtreme, and I was also checking ThinkGeek (I get that one from this post).
So, any suggestions? comments about security? accessories you've tried?
It would be good if you can share the accessories that you already have to see what else can I get to my tablet ^_^
Thank you very much
eBay.
i ordered the Skinomi Carbon Fibre skin kit from there and it looks good, is very slim and protects against scratches.
there are plenty of accessories on eBay...
I have been quite happy with the cheap silicone cases and car charger I bought on ebay. I bought a Roocase leather case on Amazon and it works very well. It allows standing the tab up in both landscape and portrait mode. Both sources are cheaper than other online stores.
Sweet. I'll try out ebay then
Thank you very much
Hi there everybody,
I've been looking for a specific stamp for a Moto X case. Been able to find, on eBay and AliExpress, the stamp, and personalized cases, for other models, but not for the MX. A guy pointed me to a store which makes such cases, but they're asking 20+ bucks for a case I'm not sure about the quality, and I won't put that much money into something that may be just too cheap to use daily.
I'm not looking for a top-notch quality case, so any personalized tpu cases seller should do. Low price (for a reasonable quality) or assured quality (for a higher, but still affordable price) are my main concerns. Can anyone point me where can I get such? Must ship to Brazil, obviously.
Thanks in advance.

You can use this store CaseCoco Moto X Phone Case, free shipping for worldwide, but it sells customized hard case, not TPU. I bought a case for my Lumia 520, not bad...
I hope helpful
Hi folks,
I just now purchased a Love MEI Oppo case for the Find 7.
I was weary of knock-offs. There was an official LoveMei.com site, and a .net one, so I decided to go through one of the few eBay sellers, the one with the highest rating. They claim of course that it is genuine and offer retuns. Cost the same as buying it through the site, but with the big bonus of PayPal protection.
Here is the eBay link:

Here is a good review of the case:

I'll offer my own in time.
I'll be seeking out a mount to hold it onto my motorbike (have a bluetooth helmet headset) . The last one failed and my 3GS went to its grave.
Cheers,
darren
I bought the case in black from Aliexpress. The only and biggest letdown was the loss of screen responsiveness.

Damn, I'll have to check that out. The guys shipped me the wrong case for an S3. I posted it back at their expense which was $20 -- the unit cost $30 to post to me but that's their loss.
lot of touch sensitivity iussue ..
removed the tempered glass .. yet the problem exists..
my Find7 looks like a tablet rather than a phone now,,,
over all the case is daaaamn GOOOOOD
