Hello,
My phone can not find any network. Phone recognizes the SIM, when i try to select manual 4g/3g/2g phone does not find any signal. Wifi and bluetooth working.
When i look in "phone information" Mobile radio power is off and preferred network type is wrong. I cant get it on and i cant select the true network type.
I did flash modem.img again and again.. I don't get what is the problem.
Before that, i broke the partitions as 45/46/47 and /vendor, after i recover these, Phone works fine but i face the this dead end problem..
I tried these;
Flashing AOSP, same.
Flashing (same model RN5) modem.img
I did flash the global rom a few times
Reset tens of times..
How can i solve this problem ? can anyone help please ?

So here is how it all started. One day i woke up and my phone was continuously restarting and just got stuck on wifi turning on. This is a very common problem and is said to be a hardware issue. A common fix to this, is to open the device and put a couple pieces of paper on the wifi chip to press it against the motherboard. This fixes the problem for most. So this is what i did. But for me, now it identified all the networks in the area but when i connect to a network, it just says "saved"or sometimes "wifi connection failure". The restarting issue is completely gone. I have tried factory reset but no luck. I was unable to find people with similar issue so any help would be highly appreciated!!
I am using android 6.0
previously before adding the papers, the mac address also changed to 02:00:00:00:00:00 but now its back to normal.. but not connecting to wifi.. It just says "connecting" and then "saved".
Please anyone? I am still unable to solve this issue!! ::crying:
BUMP!
Same Issue
Did you find a fix? Im still facing the same issue.
I got the same issue but only with one router. I believe there is something with the router not G3 itself.

This problem arrises due to installing custom rom and restoring qcn and it could not be solved by restoring back to stock etc.
Simple solution to that problem is
First you need to install any Marshmallow firmware custom rom fulmics etc.
Then go to hidden menu
1- on dial pad : *#546368#*850# (850 is for D850 and write for your model )
2- find and click SCV Menu it should be 3rd one
3-click on CRCWIZARD Test
4-click the tab Auto MID
5- uncheck IMEI in MID settings
6- click generate to generate your new MAC's
7- click MID write
8-Click Refresh to be sure that you changed MAC adress
9-Rebbot phone to take effect!
After reboot you will be able to connect any wifi without having wifi saved problem or connection failure

I have a problem with one of my Mi6 phones: it completely losing a signal while working in 2G network.
The problem looks very similar to USA band problem in Mi5. May be reseller flashed or enabled somethin like this mode on this phone.
The problem is I can't fix it at all. I tried to erase and flash different modems, tried different ROMS both MIUI and AOSP based - no effect, still no network in 2G.
I found a method to fix bands using Qualcomm Drivers and QPST tools, but I faced a problem that Mi6 declines to enter diagnostic mode either using *#*#717717#*#*, tried adb shell commands and, finally, tried fastboot edl reboot option. All of them doesn't work at all. ADB Shell - just nothong happens, Fastboot - usual reboot of the phone, *#*#717717#*#* - "Open diag failed!".
Does anyone face same problem? May be there're some more soltions or I doin anything wrong?

i experience similar problem. although phone shows signal in 2G, call is either not possible or very poor quality. only answer i got that it's a service provider issue, but the same SIM cards work in Oneplus 3T, HTC One M7 and different kinds of iPhone.
I suppose it's a modem failure, but i haven't found a way to diagnose it more deeply without voiding the warranty.
Maybe you have any success what is the problem exactly? and, maybe, how to solve it
So... I stared into the abyss, but I came back from the brink - unlocked bootloader, and the modem/calibration stuff got wiped during what should have been a routine TWRP flash from fastboot, and left me with no radios whatsoever. After flashing S048, and applying all the known OTAs up till S251, I got my wifi & bluetooth radios back, but it didn't seem to recognise my SIM (tried both slots).
After trying for almost a week, I also finally got the diagnostics mode going and was able to put a working QCN backup in place (thank you XDA and uploader).
So I flashed the LineageOS 15.1 20180413, and lo and behold, it sees the SIM and asks for a PIN to unlock it. So far, so good. Then (first time) Android says 'switching to mobile data, might take a while' but nothing really happens (I am on wireless; if I turn off wifi that doesn't make any difference though).
Under 'Network', 'Automatically select network' is enabled but 'Network' (right below) is greyed out. When I untick 'Automatically select network', it says 'Error while searching for networks'. When I re-tick it again, it says 'Registered on network', although nothing really happens.
Under SIM cards, it says slot 1 is populated, but says 'Mobile Vikings is disabled' (Mobile Vikings being my provider). The button to enable it is greyed out. Switching to airplane mode doesn't force anything either.
I've had a logcat instance open when toggling 'Automatically select network', but nothing related seems to show up. Any hints on what I could try/check? Or is this a coaster?
I believe that once you erase the modem stuff you'll always have serious problems restoring it. It seems like most people have to send the device in for service.
I've still no solution for an old P2 of mine and in that case I even had a TWRP backup.
Lenovo should really allow for us to flash stock images . An unlocked bootloader with LESS privileges makes no sense.
Wipe everything in twrp & flash twrp full backup which included efs & modem shared on our p2 forum. then flash Fastboot s48 only systemchuncks 0-14, boot & recovery then do 4-5 OTAs updates till latest one s251, you'll get you mobile network & calls back.
@eried1 Yeah looks like it
@amansehdav I have turned the P2 subforum upside down and I already tried this - restore a working S233 TWRP backup, flash S048 through fastboot, and upgrade with the OTAs till S251. No dice. Wifi and Bluetooth came back with that process, but the stock firmware would not see the SIM.
Hi,
I have a stock M9 that I've had from new.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to find a solution to my problem but without success.
The phone is stuck in airplane mode - when I look at the settings screen, I see that Airplane mode is greyed out with the status of "turning off..."
*#*#4386#*#* - phone info shows the GSM status as Radio off. When I select 'TURN ON RADIO' nothing happens.
I have factory reset, reloaded the stock image from SD card and tried various combinations of reboot with airplane mode off and on. The SIM card is fine - it works in another device. The M9 recognises the SIM is present and showd the IMEI and correct phone number from the SIM in the *#*#4386#*#* menu.
I have seen this in several other places on this forum; has anyone managed to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hardware failure. Return to manufacturer.
Modem always crashes especially when outside. As long as I am at home on wifi, it seems to work, it crashes but not a lot (sometimes even during the night). But going outside and the phone switching to cell/wifi/cell/wifi/etc make it crashes rapidly.
Easy to see because I am losing voice/data. Phone does not reboot.
My F3 is stock, stock rom, never been unlocked or anything. It did this last year already. I am using the latest MIUI 14.0.4.0(TKHMIXM). I'm in Canada with PublicMobile.
error is
modem subsystem failure reason: ssr:MP:rflte_dm_rx.c:8779:rflte_dm_rxagc_config_update_switchpoints_and_lna_offsets_in_d

Any way to send ramdump to xiaomi?
Problem seems to be
"External

Data (basically a instruction for what modem have to do with a Band
Receive Commands) is missing, and External Modem calling a "kill itself"
mode because of it can't recover from it.Î’asically you go to

Would disabling specific bands fix this? Is so, what ones?
In another thread it seems someone tried it and it changes nothing :-/
Dial *#*#663368378#*#* to access modem test tools suite, hopefully something there can tell you more about what is going wrong
It seems I cannot access "MODEM test tools" (aka Rueban / MTB) app on official ROMs without authorized Mi Account according to some search. It only gives me a black screen.
Well that's mildly frustrating. Sometimes theres modem debug options in city (dial *#*#6484#*#*) tucked away in the 3 dot overflow menu in the top right...
Unfortunately there's no such option here :-(
I have a lot of ramdump about modem crash, always the same error. I tried to email poco support but gmail reports back that the server refused connection or something...
