Just wanted to say I recently bought one of these batterys and it's amazing!
My dash now lasts all day and night with near constant SMS, and EDGE all for around $30 after shipping.
Check it out here:http://www.pdapreferred.com/htc-s620-pda-and-pocket-pc-extended-battery-2200-mah-cs-dc700xl-.html
datz phat. I payed $20 for mine on egay.
Are any of the cheap extended batteries for the Note worth buying? I see a lot of 5200mAh ones on ebay for ~£10, while I'm sure they aren't really that capacity; at that price they may be worth buying. The Mugen 5400mAh doesn't seem worth buying because I could carry numerous original batteries for that price without adding bulk to the phone.
I've bought 2 cheap battery's on eBay and both worked but lost capacity after a week or 2 and gave me screen flickering below 20% so I stopped using them. I only buy well known battery's now, worth the extra money. Even if they are a double or triple the price, you get what you pay for. (Most the time ^.^)
Edit: Mugen have good reviews, there's a review by a member on XDA somewhere.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've just ended up buying the £20 standard battery from Samsung in the end.
I bought two Hyperion batteries and a dock charger that charges the phone and the extra battery at the same time.
What I do is keep the extra battery in my pocket with me. When the main battery finishes, I swap. Then when I get home at night Ill charge them both.
This tremendously helped me out over the past weekend as I wasn't home for 14 hours.
Got myself a 5000 mAh one with a bulky back cover and wouldn't want to go without it anymore,
is good for going 3-4 days without recharging now, a bit like the old days when phones were not
smart but durable...

Going from the standard to an extended (i have the mugen 5400) battery was for me like going from the S2 to the Note.
Size matters, and its hard to go back.
(oh, and no more juice defenders, battery program thingies etc, sigh, pfiew)

Compare 5000 extended battery with 3500 power bank which one better?
bestbuy is selling their mophie juice packs for $60! thats $39.99 cheaper than getting it at mophie. The thing is, its only the white ones that they are selling cheap. Maybe no one likes white. But I bought it and it is perfect. here is the link. hit thanks if you like it.

That is a fair price for this type of case/battery
i know, but the price for mophie pack is really expensive.
Ummm....why the hell would anyone buy something like this? Whats the point of having a removable battery?

Why wouldn't you want this. Double your battery life and a case as well. Perfect for trips, just went to NYC from Boston on a bus and this was a lifesaver. 3.5 hour ride each way and full day in the city and had 30% battery left when I got home. Used GPS internet and listened to my Bluetooth headphone each way. If I didn't have this I would have had a dead battery by noon. Love this pack

this is an awesome idea. i with they had it for more phone models
For 60 bucks you can probably get 10 chinese batteries off of ebay. Besides that....it makes the phone huge! Ill keep mt extra battery packs and external charger......now if I was using a crapple with no external battery...then yeah....this would be great!

I actually just got the mophie today. It adds bulk but almost no height, just thickness and the phone is still very light. The best part is I don't need to turn my phone off then replace a battery or carry a pocket full of batteries on a trip

your math doesn't add up. you say you would have had a dead battery by noon.. that would mean you used 2100Mah in, let's assume you uplugged it at 6 am, 6 hours. and then this pack which is only 2300Mah gave you another.. 9-10 hours, plus you had 30% left? your stock battery must be shot.
now, riddle me this: what is the benefit of paying $69 for an extra battery, vs paying 25 dollars for a hyperion 4200 Mah battery, like I did? with an extended battery your phone is smaller than adding the pack, and it is cheaper. plus it is more efficient to use one large battery, than to try to charge one battery from another.
not being a hater... just answer your question. That is why I don't want this: I don't want to pay more for less.

It doubles as a case. Your phone is still exposed, unless you put another case on it, which makes it practically a brick. This does both, but is the size of your extended battery (minus the case).
At any rate, contrary to what you may think, this forum doesn't exist to convince or sell you items. No one really needs to justify themselves to you, and no one is trying to convince you to purchase anything.
Just bought this at best buy yesterday for $59. Had no clue they cost $99 cause they had no sale price or anything on the shelf but after I bought it I looked online and saw it was advertised for $40 off After using it for a day and a half I probably would have paid the $99 if I knew it was this badass. The look and feel of it is just awesome and it makes the phone very comfortable to hold. Yes it doubles the thickness of the phone and ads a little more weight but having the ability to recharge my phone at the flick of a switch is awesome for a heavy user like me. Ive only charged the case one full charge last night and ran my phone down to 4% today then turned the case on and it charged the phone back up to 83% before it was drained but I also used the phone for about an 45 minutes while it was charging back up. All I can say is this is one sick ass case.
Just looked for the juice pack for that price and the best buy app still says $99. Did you buy it open item?
S3 on the Now Network
Same here...I just went to Bestbuy and bought one it cams to $105. Do you have a link to this info ?
Fired Up From My Uscellular Galaxy S3 and Sent From Planet 4G LTE
I ordered one online about 10 days ago and picked it up at the store. When I bought it the white Mophie was $59 on the web site while the black was $99. The website now shows them both at $99 so it looks like that deal is over.
For what it's worth, I didn't care for the extra length it added under the bottom of the phone or the hard feel of the case, so I returned it. I like the concept but it just didn't work for me. I bought an extra Hyperion standard battery and a dock with a slot to charge an extra battery as well as the phone. I'm running the Hyperion 2200 mah as the main and it lasts all day.
The sale at best buy where I bought mine ended on the 3rd, also I'm in Canada whether that makes a difference or not
I have desided to change the battery on my Nexus 5, Well I'm from israel so Amazon is not an option, On ebay I have found a battery with tools for 16$, seems little wierd, have any of u bought a battery on ebay? what battery should I buy?
Yeah I have 1 of the 3 batteries I bought was decent. But then again, the nexus 5 battery sucks in general
Hope this site is still active for the S3!
I recently signed up for a Pay As You Go Plan as a backup phone number using my old Verizon S3 which had been sitting around for 3 years without use. I noticed that the battery (original 2100mAh that came with the phone) has bloated a bit and it holds charge for less than a week even without any usage. I purchased an OEM battery from eBay but that lasted even less between charges! I would like a battery that would hold its charge for over a week before requiring a recharge. I would like to avoid having to have two batteries and swap them during the week.
I looked up the suggestions on this site but many of them (Hyperion, Anker, ZeroLemon) are no longer available. I found only the following batteries on eBay.
4800mAh High Capacity Battery + Blue Door For Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300
X Power 4800mAh High Capacity Battery + Blue Door - Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300
EXTENDED 4300mAh Battery + Cover for Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300 T999 L710 i535
4300mAh Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S3 Blue Cover Dock Charger
Can anyone recommend any of the above or any other battery? I would like it to last at least a week between recharges. Also, I would prefer not to have to pay more than $20 for it if possible. I am in the U.S.

No, I have not used either one, but they both have decent reviews.
Thanks StoneyJSG! I had given up since not receiving any reply for two months and was pleasantly surprised seeing your response.
The battery at Gorilla Gadgets looks interesting. I will check it out.
Purchased the Gorilla Gadgets battery from WalMart (here).
Received a black back cover instead of blue one. Otherwise, the battery appears to hold significantly more charge than my original battery. After over 4 days after charging, I still have 75% charge left. This is with no use except for turning it on once or twice a day to look for missed calls/texts. It will easily surpass the 7-days I needed so I can charge it once every week or so!
Thanks again OP!:good:
P.S.: Gorilla Gadgets sent a blue battery cover for free!
Battery held charge for 14+ days before reaching 5% level. Very satisfied so far. Will update post if I see anything different over the next few recharges.
Thanks again StoneyJSG and Gorilla Gadgets!:good:
