[APP] OnePlus Diagnostic - OnePlus 5 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Just discovered from OnePlus China site.
This app features:
- hardware check with simple UI( no more *#808#)
- check battery wear level ( indicate the battery if replacement is needed)
Hope it helps

84% health after 16 months - not bad.

It is very useful to have the battery info.
I have 81% after 15 months ( I use the phone a lot). I'm still a bit disappointed.

it will be very useful if everyone post their battery health .. mine is 82% about a year usage

87%, 17 months with absolutely no care about battery health.. That's not bad.
Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

87% here also, I have no idea how many months, I have the OnePlus 5 since day 1 (from release)

80% depressing

Added to the OnePlus 5 Index Thread here.

Why I can't install the app? Maybe cuz I've CrDroid ROM?

Yep. All the time.
Also I recommend this app from play store called: ,,Battery warner" which can stop charging when it reaches chosen percentage (but your phone must be rooted). And it warns me when I reach these 40% percent too.

90 %, own it since it has been released, so day 1.
Oh, and I always do a full charge, but never go under 20 % capacity.

That's interesting. Had my battery replaced in September and I also get 90%...So how accurate is that analytics app really? I should definitely have more than 95%..

Can you tell me how you were getting 40 hrs ?just about every day if I unplugged at 8 am I may of had 20 to 30 % left at 11 pm and I've had mine since December
I've always been able to get two days out of mine in fact I'm on the second day and down to about 20% left... Strange that it has just decided to update.
Will keep an eye on it and let you all know how it does.

Until 5.1.1 update I use to unplug it at 8 am and around midnight it was still as 55/58% of charge.
I use it paired with a Sony z3 with personalized stamina mode (email and whatsapp always on).
Last charge has gone better: unplugged yesterday morning at 9 and actually (close to noon here in Italy) it still has 35% of charge.
I've just uninstalled all of the 3d party apps...
Is there any reason why we must have several threads on the same topic?
Just a friendly reminder folks. XDA requires that you search first, before posting a new thread. This makes things easier for folks to find relevant material more easier.
In this case, there's already a pre-existing thread on the same topic, so I will just close this one.
Cheers!

oxygem os 3.2.1 insane wake locks

Been using this phone for over a month now and always has bad battery life as compared to what others are getting.. about 4 hours sot with over 20 hours on battery and it used to reach 10% battery level ?.. yeah it's bad... So I unlocked, rooted and installed greenify and amplify and amplify showed the cause... Take a look at this.. so the only way to fix this is to flash a custom stock based ROM right ?
I'm worried about that rijl wake lock.. radio issues ? I always keep my phone on 2g to get even batter battery life but sad situation for me here folks
thinking 4-5 is bad because you got 10 once. Hm...
I don't think anyone has been able to get 10 hours screen on time on a single charge on any phone.......

Sure! Easy, just depends on what you do...
Just remove all the Google Apps, especially Google Now. It's wakelocking the phone like crazy, because it's recording your location for example.

oh man i am so sorry the way i framed my sentence.. i meant 10% battery life lol my apologies. and when i mean others, they usually get 5h sot or more
RILJ is caused by Google Play Services, not by OP3 itself.
Get rid off GApps or just deal with it.

Downgrade from 2.0 (possible?)

Hi,
My battery life has been shocking since installing to 2.0 update and I want to revert back to a previous version. Can someone tell me if this is possible?

Yes the 1.5 files and instructions are in the same place on the dev site where you got 2.0
Before you downgrade, give a chance to the 2!
Anything else can cause battery drain.
I use 2.0 for months and my battery uses less than 3% per hour with always on screen.
Sent from my SM-G930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Did you enable cloud sync over wifi? The last time I messed with that, my battery life plummeted to about 1/3 of its normal length. Putting 2.0 on my HWatch actually increased my battery life.
I've taken my phone off charge about an hour ago, and it's already at 80%. I've just disabled WiFi... But I can't see an option for cloud sync over WiFi.
I took my HW with DP5 off the charger 3.5 hrs ago. Still 88% left which is pretty normal IMO. Maybe you should just do a hard reset and pay attention to what apps you re-install afterwards`?

Try to factory reset as a last resort.
Try to root and solve by those means maybe?
Disable all syncing (unnecessary) crap and apps/system apps you don't use.
No extra drain here. I haven't done 7 hours in a long time but it is nearly 13 months old.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
so after 13 months the battery is dead??it's not nexus 6P with battery problems..also, mine is 11 months
i don't need root for now so i guess it won't help me, factory reset maybe can help but i'm try to avoid it now...
sync is disable now for crap and yet..at the email field there is two syncs Gmail and edison email, is it make the problem?
and i understand from you guys that the november update isn't make something with the battery?
I wouldn't say 5 hours SOT is dead. Dead is off the charger it lasts only 5 hours. I still get through a 16 hour day fine with 4 hours SOT and 20% left. I'm just saying I haven't gotten 7 hours SOT in a long time. What matters is getting from morning to night without needing to do a top off. And there's nothing wrong with charging during a drive back home from work. Also, I did a factory reset in October as it's something I've been doing yearly with my phones. It helps somewhat (my "Full charge lasts about" estimates have gone up 2-4 hours) but it's not going to make miracles and turn the battery to day-1 level. For me, I do it to clear up things.

My battery also dropped significantly, like OP, after the November update (from 6.5 SOT down to 4 SOT). I noticed my wi-fi scanning was enabled though after the patch. I will disable that. Hopefully that does the trick!

Here is another battery drainer to check. Pull down your notification shade and look for "nearby" if it's not there hit the edit button and add it to your quick toggles. Make sure it is off as that will be constantly looking for local advertising crap to serve up to you which costs you in battery life.

Emui 10.0.0.184 is Crap

Battery life has taken a hit with this update. You know how I know? It's because I have Accubattery history of my usage as well as GSAM screen shots to compare it with. SOT seems to be similar but standy times are now greatly reduced. It was like this on beta also.

Yeah the battery isn't faulty , I'm just finding that I get less than before. All though if I use my phone without any standy it will still achieve great screen on time.
Like I mentioned before, I have records of my battery usage history from GSAM and Accubattery Pro , hence I how compare it with .

I have everything like it was before.
I was averaging and my usage is based on 40-45% of battery usage since I use the 80 40% or thereabouts charging method.
EMUI 10 6-7 SOT for standby of 17 to 19 hours.
EMUI 9.1 5-6.5 hours for standby of 24-38 hours.
