when shooting a movie I rotate the S9, the camera follow the rotation, keeping the picture in the correct orientation. When I play that video back, the picture rotates, no longer following the rotation. Is there a way to fix this on the S9?

I have problems about Video Playback. I'm using MIUI 1.5.13 Desire HD.
When u have recorded any videos and try to play/view, the video playback screen so little small in the center of the screen, it doesn't auto-rotate/full screen to horizontal or vertical if you rotate your phone.
No matter you rotate your phone to horizontal or vertical, the VIDEOS PLAYBACK STILL SMALL IN THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN.
Is there any way to make it normal video playback? or full screen.. Please i need your help..
did you turn on your autorotation in the notification toggle menu on the top bar?
Yes. I did turn it on and rotate 180degree too.. but nothing works on video playback it remains play with small screen. Auto rotate just works on messages and photo view on gallery /etc
This is super annoying, I tend to shoot video/pictures vertically, because I like to just use one hand. It seems that when I play my gallery back through the phone, the picture looks right, but when I upload it to facebook and etc, the video or picture is rotated sideways.
I hate having to go into PS to re-rotate it back, is there a fix or a setting for this?
facebook should auto rotate pictures to the way they were taken. Either there is a problem with your facebook app, or there is a problem with your phone's gyroscope, and it's not recording the correct orientation in the exif data of the picture
Thanks for the reply. Hmm, it seems that it has always been this way. But I do notice that facebook does have a rotate option upon loading a pic/vid.
I encoded a video that came in 1920x800 down to 1267x528 (the closest to 1280x720 for that ratio) and it won't play in landscape. It tries to play it in portrait and is absurdly small. Videos on youtube rotate fine to fill up the screen, but when I turn the phone sideways it stays in portrait mode.
Is there a setting somewhere I have to hit to allow the 'Videos' app to rotate? Do any other video players other than "Videos" and "Youtube" take up the entire screen, including the buttons?
On my Note II some of my videos are coming out 1080x1920 ie portrait instead of the correct landscape.
sometimes I video things with the screen facing UP in the sky (IE trying to CRUSH a rat I caught and the video comes out portrait.
how do I instruct the camera to ignore the orientation of the phone and ALWAYS encode as landscape. is there a way to can edit its meta data to display the correct orientation ?
rotating in youtube is lame
Turn off screen rotation before recording
screen rotation IS OFF (I keep it off by default hate it) the camera ignores it.
On my note 10 plus when you have screen lock ON but play a video it will still rotate horizontal. The only time auto rotate is help is when watching a video but it's too sensitive especially when laying down...... I get the screen doesn't suppose to rotate with screen lock on but it still rotates horizontal on my note 10 plus. Don't know if it's a android or Samsung ui thing
Claritiy: how to make the screen rotate horizontal only when watching videos with screen lock on.... I know it's possible I have it on the note 10 right now
Depends on the video player i think. Some just play in wide.
