Default Bluetooth audio codec - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Just wondered if there's a way to make LDAC the default Bluetooth audio codec (Developer Options) ? I can select it for my current session but when my ear buds (Sony WI-H700) negotiate a new session with my phone aptx is selected and I have to select LDAC manually again.

Bluetooth Audio Codec

I just bought some nice Sony H.ear on bluetooth headphones and was wondering about the audio codecs. I turned on developer options and it's set to "Use system selection". I see the Sony headphones work with LDAC and was wondering if the phone notices that somehow and will switch over to the LDAC or if I have to manually switch to that. Any advice? I thought I could ask Sony but they will probably say that's your phone's problem.

How to enable LDAC in OnePlus 5T?

I have a Sony WH1000XM3 headphone which supports LDAC codec. How to connect my OnePlus 5T to play high quality songs through this headphone. I went to the developer tools and enabled LDAC but if we go back and again check the codec settings, it will be selected as SBC. How to make it permanent to LDAC?

Does the Nokia 8.1 support LDAC when using Sony WH-1000XM series headphones?

using Sony WH-1000XM3 BT headphones and was wondering if anyone can confirm if the LDAC codec is supported for this device thx
Would live yo know this as well!
Just received the phone and tested with Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. Upon starting the sony headphones app shows aptx HD by default. The developer options allows changing to LDAC and the sony headphones app then shows LDAC as the connection mode. Using Spotify to play some music doesn't switch back to aptx HD. Upon restart the phone does change back again to aptx HD. LDAC thus seems to work on the phone.

Click to collapse
Thats because those headphones dont support that codec. I have the regular 65t. If the device doesn't support a certain codec it will just go back to one that it does support.
Test it by choosing the sbc codec and it should change to it and stick. You will even notice a short pause in the music while it changes codecs.

Bluetooth Codec keep reverting back to AAC with aptX supported bluetooth headphone

Hello,
I was trying to switch the Bluetooth Audio Codec to Qualcomm aptX to be used with my SoundPeats TruEngine 3 SE wireless earbuds. I am able to select aptX when the Bluetooth is switched on,
but as soon as I connect my earbuds it switches by to AAC
I am certain that my earbuds support aptX codec ( Product Spec is available here
Had anyone this same issue? Is there any way I can resolve this? I just want to make sure it is an with the issue with the phone so I can be certain that I don't have to return the earbuds.
