I'm coming from a Moto maxx/droid turbo with a snapdragon 805 and 3 gb of ram, i want a good phone without breaking the bank.
So far, my options have been reduced to mid-range phones like the xiaomi mi a1 and past-flagships like the galaxy s7 flat, the axon 7 and the htc10.
I don't really like big phones and i don't like bloatwared software either, however as the current phone market is in my country this tend to be really good choices.
The mi A1 here costs around 320-300 dolars, the HTC around 300 dolars and the galaxy can be found around 290-300. I haven't been able to find axon 7 or one plus 3/3t reliable sellers so this is why i'm asking this question.
I'm sorry to bother you with this question, but i would really appreciate if you could tell me your experience with your current htc, and if you think that at that price can hold it's value.

Hey friends,
I pre-ordered my Mate 20 X today. I'm really excited for it. I am importing it in Canada.
I'm also interested in purchasing an M-Pen, is anyone else doing the same? Any idea where to buy it? Will any version of the M-Pen work with the phone?
Thanks

Where did you pre-order from? I see that the lowest price that I can find is on banggood.com
What version are you getting??? Is it a global ROM or a Chinese ROM?

Hey, yeah I wanted to support a Canadian company so I went through PDA Plaza. Didn't really care about the price.
I really struggled to pick which version of the Mate 20 X, because a few years ago I imported a spec'd out Chinese Mate 9 6 GB 128 GB. Turns out two years later with heavy use, I've only used up about 25% of 128 GB. Everything I do is in the cloud or gets backed up by the cloud, so I don't need the storage. The extra ram would be nice but I don't really trust Huawei's ram management to justify the extra cost. My Mate 9 still does everything I need with 6 GB.
So that being said, I decided to go with the entry level Mate 20 X with 6 GB and 128 GB, Phantom Silver, Chinese model.
Dude, if your waiting around for the Global Model, I would recommend giving up. Its rumored, so take this with a grain of salt, but I heard that the Mate 20 X is only being released in China. If a Chinese model is a dealbreaker for you, then you might want to consider the Mate 20 Pro, which is launching almost everywhere except maybe the US.
I found this. They also have a lot of other accessories too.

Hi to all,
Im planing to sell my P20 Pro and buy Mate 20 Pro. But I real don't know how to know which Mate 20 Pro have that problem?
How I read Mate 20 Pro have 2 supplier's for display:
1. LG display - bad one,
2. BOE display - good one.
So is they any chanse to cheek it?
P. S. I read they are some programs that you need to install it and then you have information which display is in Mate 20 Pro. What is the name of that program? (I think seller won't lett me first install that program and check before sell it, but is goit to know.)
And is someone swich from P20 Pro to Mate 20 Pro?
Thx a lot for your answres

Hello!
So I love BIG phones...which you probably guessed since I use the Z3 Tablet Compact as my phone.
Still I would like to have some newer tech on my phone, like MUCH better camera than the very bad ones on my Z3. No my phone is not my main camera but its nice to have something better. Also with built in flash (for flashlight usage). Not to mention more internal space and OLED screen.
Sadly there are no phones that can replace my Z3 and make me 100% happy since these days all phones have what I like to call the hotdog form factor.
My ideal phone would be like my old Mediapad X2 format and size with smaller bezels and newer hardware...but for now, this skinny form factor trend continues so looks like the best I could do for now is the 7.2" Mate 20x.
Has anyone gone from a Z3 to the Mate 20x?
I will be using it with AT&T and going for the L29 version. Likely will add some Squaretrade warranty when buying from Amazon.
Some recent feedback from the phone owners would be nice. One thing that got me holding back (aside from still hoping someone bringing a big 16:9 or 16:10 phone) is the fact that there is a Huawei 30...so I was wondering if a 30x is not too far off from being announced.
Thanks!
I still miss my old zenfone 3 ultra, but only phone who was getting close to it is my m20x... But really dont like 19:9... Miss the 16:9 a lot.

Oh I remember considering the zeonfone although dont recall why I didnt get one in the end. So you can imagine, coming from even bigger phones like the Mediapad X2 and the Z3 Tablet Compact...going to a smaller (thanks to the lame aspect ratio) phone is worrying me.
Guess I will just get one and test drive it before I sell my Z3
Looking at Z3 tablet form factor, ideal upgrade for you would be Mediapad M5 8. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9092&idPhone2=6633
Maybe M6 is also coming soon.
Also consider this for taking calls on the go. https://consumer.huawei.com/sg/wearables/talkband-b5/
I have had various large phablets and tablets that I used as a phone as well, such as the Dell Streak (remember that one!), Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Huawei MediaPad X1, X2, M2, M3, M5 8.4, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Xiaomi Mi Max 3.
Recently I switched from my MediaPad M5 8.4 LTE to, briefly a Samsung Galaxy Note9, and now a Huawei Mate 20X.
The main reasons were that the M5 was getting slow and had this annoying Huawei memory cleanup app that I could not get rid off, it did not have dual SIM plus sufficient storage and it was just not comfortable to use as a camera and the camera sucks as well.
I still have the M5 but ever since I got the 20X i do not use the M5 anymore, not even at home on the couch.
I would like to have root but on the other hand I don't really miss much without it. I use Nova Launcher with different themes and I can change fonts with an app from Google Play. And I save a lot of time by not having to mess with custom ROM's etc.
The battery life of the 20X is awesome and it fits my hands fine, although I prefer it would be lighter.
And I wish they would offer the international version with 256GB as well.
I was watching movies on my Mediapad M3 8.4. I am selling it and getting the Mate 20 X.
Is anyone switching from a bigger tablet to a Mate 20 X and or prefer watching movies on Mate 20 X? Is it big enough to watch streaming content?

I too had pretty much same devices as you. starting from dell streak( it was one of a kind in looks in those days), galaxy note 1, mega 6.3, mediapad x1, x2, m3, xiaomi mix, honor note 10, mate 20x.
with mediapad x2, i always wished it to have lesser non screen area. i think 20x fits screen and size part pretty well.
Can anyone confirm/decline this please.
Is M Pen from Mate 20X compatible on Matepad Pro ?
Is Matpads pencil compatible with Mate 20X ?
Thanks
i can confirm that Matepad Pro (10.8) does NOT work with M-Pen Lite (Mediapad M6), nor with Samsung´s Pens (Tab S6 Series) or Surface Stylus
Ok, lets categorize by technology:
Ntrig: surface pen -> does not work
Wacom: Samsung spen -> does not work
Does the Huawei m5 lite pen come with batteries? I don't know what tech they use but possibly Wacom like spen and the lack of batteries would confirm this.
We need to try a Wacom Es pen; does someone own a Wacom bamboo ink to try it out?
Not likely
I have been trying to get Mate20X M Pen to work with the MatePad Pro but so far the tablet can't find it via Bluetooth nor sense it when I touch the screen.
I thought both Mate20X and MatePad Pro use an active Stylus?

I have a Matepad Pro and it came with he m-pencil which works fine... Using it as a mouse is interesting, it's a nice device for websites that require the mouse to 'point' and not click on a menu.
But I find clicking unreliable for me, pressing back/forward or links takes a few tries at times.
Tablet: mrx-w09
pen: cd52
I can barely write, specially for an OCR to read well enough... and I don't draw, so it's frigging useless for me.
Morning all,
Sorry I am joining this a little late.
Is there any M-Pencil alternative or stylus that works with the Matepad Pro at all?
Thanks
Not that I know of, and I have been searching online for a while now.
Anyone found a decent alternative? I bought a Matepad 10.4 for my teenage daughter, but I'm not prepared to pay £100 for a frigging pen.

M-Pen 2?
dropped my 8day old M-pencil 2 and it longer works.
Unlucky me but really awful / cheaply built device.
