Hi, i succesfully, after lots of tries and errors, completed this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...ed-phone-updating-to-mm-tips-t3452785/page111 after finishing flashing it with AFT, nothing changed, and im still on the bootloop.
I haven't found anything helpful after searching so im hoping this thread would give me something.
Issue: Phone starts normally and freezes on the loading screen. And i get this weird flashing green artifacts before it finally freezes.
This was the worst freeze i saw and took a pic: https://imgur.com/G5woXT0.
How it happened? some years ago it simply died while i was texting, and looped into this nightmare.
Bootloop seems to be working fine, but "adb devices" doesnt recognize the device when im on bootloader. AFT does.
I can get to the recovery, but when i try to ADB sideload, i get "E: footer is wrong" "E: signature verification" and i still haven't found and explanation to that.
This if my first time posting a thread so i hope i'm not breaking any rule, thanks in advance .

Hello. I've spent about the past 2 hours trying to figure this out. So, how this started was, a while back when I first got the phone, I wanted 4.4, so I rooted my phone, and tried to flashify a recovery like CWM and TWRP. Both of these failed. I tried many times, and no matter what I tried, flashing always failed. But guess what, my stock recovery was erased in the process. I forgot about it until today, where I found the OTA update to 4.4 was released, and attempted to do it. To my dismay, I forgot I had no recovery mode, and instantly got the "boot certification verify" error screen. Now All I can access is download mode, to my knowledge. So I've been trying to fix this, either by installing stock recovery, or another way to install a custom. All to no avail. When I use the lg flash tool for the stock recovery, it fails at "BIN CRC Check". Every.... Single.... Time. Despite downloading multiple replacement files. I would be perfectly content with installing a customer recovery, but the ways I see require the phone to be on, and use the built in recovery mode. At this point, my phone is bricked, and I am looking for any and all ways to either A) boot back up normally without installing a recovery and fix it later, or B) install a recovery, even if it's the hard way.
Update:
I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2582142
It looked like it was going to work. I am using a Xubuntu virtual machine. I was copying the files over, and every time it finished copying a file, it unmounted and remounted my phone (I don't know if that was suppose to happen, just worth mentioning if it wasn't suppose to). I was super excited to do it. Hard rebooted my phone. And now it's just a blank screen. I have no logo, no error, and no download mode like I had before. Seriously need some help here.
Update#2:
I have the flash tool correctly working. Awesome! But..... I still have no download mode here.... So I can't use the tool....

I'm decently surprised NO ONE has replied here.
Trying to root my T-Mobile G3. I used purpledrake, it went through the process and said "permaroot worked, all done here. Moving on..." But instead of saying hit enter to restart, like it showed in this video, it says logout and then [Process completed] and my phone is stuck in the screen which shows not to disconnect. What do I do???
Also, it never asked if I want to install TWRP and custom boot like it says in this thread.
Could it have something to do with my phone being 10m and everything I've been seeing was for 10c??
Please help. This is my first time rooting and I really hope I didn't just brick my phone.
BTW, I'm on a Mac. I have win 7 parallels but would prefer a Mac solution if possible.EDIT:
DISASTER AVERTED! Hopefully this helps anyone else who runs into this same problem. I popped the battery out and it restarted fine and is rooted. It's just a weird bug that causes it to freeze at the do not disconnect screen.
Deze All
I Have the following issue:
Some days ago my phone started to act weirdly, was getting error messages of all my apps that stopped working. After some searching on the internet I thought the best would be to do a factory reset using the boot menu.
I tried recovery first but this only gave the red triangle with a red exclamation mark. Booted back up but error messages kept spamming.
So then I tried to do a factory reset in the same menu, this started out well but when the loading was done the phone was stuck on the htc-logo screen. I had it there for some hours, but without any results.
I tried this process agqin, but no other result.
I tried some things listed on forums here and there but since I have not ever put the phone in developer mode I cannot get the PC to recognize my phone.
I read somewhere to flash with my SD-card but I did not found a full tutorial on that (considering I am a noob on all this).
The phone just turned 1y old and I really need one for work and other stuff so I am also wondering if there even is a way, if there is not you can give me the hard truth and I will order a new one. But would be stupid to not have tried all the options and found out later it could be fixed easily.
Anyway thanks in advance look forward to your replies

have you unlocked your bootloader with HTCDEV and are you able to get in to fastboot?
if so you could flash TWRP and restore with a stock backup.
if not and you aren't able to get the device to be dectected by a computer, you may have to contact HTC for a repair.
I had the exact same problem as you and I tried a million different things but then this man saved my life and came to my rescue!

Go to my thread and do those steps as i did and get your phone back
Hello, I've ran into an issue where my phone keeps turning off while in the boot screen. I'm using stock 7.0. What makes it worse is that I can't seem to get ADB connection between PC and phone.
Now I regret my decision of not flashing TWRP earlier, as I wouldn't be making this thread if I had and I could've tried flashing a different rom.
This happened after the phone felt a bit slow, I restarted and then it wouldn't boot anymore.
I have S-OFF if that helps with anything.
Thank you for your help!

Edit:
Right, apparently I can get the adb to work in download mode, but the battery is a bit too low to flash TWRP. I'll see if I can do when it charges a bit.
Edit: So I flashed TWRP, tried flashing a rom and twrp rebooted during the flash.
Edit: I can't even get into download mode anymore. Phone's rebooting and vibrating all the time.
Edit: Welp, can't even get in recovery now. Only place I can access really is the bootloader. Is there anything I can do about it now or is bricked?
So, I tried flashing ruu, getting this -
load_file: could not allocate -2093772439 bytes
error: cannot load 'update.zip'
Click to collapse
Tried flashing recovery, which did work but I can't boot to it. Getting reboot loops before getting to TWRP.
So I suppose this is it then for this phone unless anyone can help me with it. It's been definitely the most frustrating phone I've owned.
Seems buggered to me. If no download mode then there's not a lot you can do.
Beamed in by telepathy.
Ehh... It's kinda weird how the phone just did that. Tried to flash ROM and it just went.
I kinda feel like it could've been faulty flash all along as I had issues with it where "app has stopped working" was spammed. I factory reset it and it was unusable. Went to O2 for repairs (note that I hadn't meddled with software yet) and they still charged me for it. It worked fine for two weeks and then same issue appeared. Stupid me thinking that trying to fix it by myself could've worked, which I thought I managed to do for a month. Then this happened.
Is there really nothing I can do from the bootloader? fastboot seemed quite functional from it.
Either way, thank you for this answer, even though it was one nobody likes to hear...
I'll try to be as detail as possible so that anyone with experience can help me. BTW this is my first thread.
The phone is originally a Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace with J2 Prime firmware installed by me
Note 1: I flashed this firmware about 2-3 years ago without problems.
On a random day, I decided to restart my phone, and suddenly, a bootloop!!
Later I realised a soft brick had occured.
So I did a factory reset and wiped cache thru recovery mode.
But no use.
Also I remember seeing errors like "ddi read failed" "ddi write failed"
No idea what it means.
Then I tried flashing stock firmware through Odin using Download Mode.
It failed and gave an error "Write operation failed"
That is similar to the error I saw in the phone like "ddi write failed"
So, now here comes my big mistake.
I tried flashing TWRP using Odin.
It gave a pass, but I think I messed up.
So now I cant use Stock Recovery Mode also. It keeps showing "Installing System Update" for eternity.
So now Im blank and left out.
I found a few similar posts like mine but they werent clear and Im not sure as they seemed dangerous like playing with PIT file, doing NAND erase and something.
So, I dont want to go to the service center and pay a high price. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it myself. Thanks.
Note : I downloaded firmware from samfrew.com. I checked and the firmware year is 2018. Is that a problem. Should i try to find the latest firmware possible? (Sammobile doesnt have my firmware and they cap download speeds too much anyway)
Okay, some more info
When trying to boot like normal, it will sometimes show an error saying "Custom binary blocked by SECURE BOOT" before it starts its bootloop .
Also checked in Download mode, i have frp lock enabled and secure boot enabled.
