The Redmi Note 5 Pro was recently released in Taiwan this week. Over here, it is sold as just the "Redmi Note 5".
Interestingly, the specifications (link in Chinese) list LTE coverage for bands B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28. Other hardware seems to be the same otherwise.
Unless they made a typo, it looks like this is a similar situation to when the Redmi Note 3 was rereleased in TW as the Redmi Note 3 special edition (Kate) with expanded band coverage.
Will this mean that Roms for the Xiaomi Red Note 5 Pro (WHYRED) may be incompatible for the Redmi Note 5 special edition?
there is no "PRO" for regions other than INDIA
the phone for the rest world is Redmi Note 5 China/Global etc

RN5P sports Snapdragon 636 processor with 4G-LTE X12 modem. X12 modem does not support DSDV feature.
So, how could Xiaomi enable this feature with Oreo update?

Other devices available with Snapdragon 636 support dual volte like asus zenfone Max pro m1 so why can't xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro support it they both are having the same chipset. I have tried using it and it works i can use 2 reliance jio sims at the same time.

Yes, thats my question, when Qualcomm does not support it on 636, how could these companies support it? Did they get Qualcomm to modify 636 to add DSDV?

In India Redmi Note 7 (in all variants) had problem with very slow 4g data and internet is full of (hopeless) call for help . There was some hardware problem with network aggregation and phone doesn't support 4g+. I wanted to get Note 7 pro but for me this issue was deal breaker. How is that with Note 8 (non-pro)? Can someone share\do some test in this connection?

Redmi Note 8 (Ginkgo) has CA support in India. I have been using past 5 days. And no issues in call and data. It have few software bugs. But internet speed is good. Check their product specs page.
I am writing from Chile ??, here for the 4G network, the bands B7 or B28 are used, for the 4G+ or LTE-A network, Carrier Aggregation (CA) is made, which is the simultaneous connection B7+B28, it is assumed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro global, has CA, and the model has the aforementioned bands for both 4G and 4G+, but I can not make such aggregation of carriers, Xiaomi has disappointed me, which says to sell global versions, but that do not work. I have MI 10T PRO, it's a 5G phone. But when I try to access 5G internet of Jio(Stand Alone network) it's not supported in this phone.
As jio described in it's My Jio app that this is not supported Jio True 5G.
Is there any possible way how can I can access Jio True 5G in Mi 10T/ Mi 10T Pro phone.
Please suggest a good way to handle this.
