Thanks but the app is only installable on the ULTRA, MAXX, Mini, and Moto X.
it installs without problems, but doesn't appear in appdrawer, and playstore says it's incompatible with the One
I have installed the .apk, but can't start it, as it isn't present as an actual app. I think, we also need the settings app directly from the Moto X/Droid Series, in order to be able to set up the actual touchless cotrols app.
Application installed just fine on my Telus Galaxy S3 with CM10.2. Added the activities shortcut through Nova Launcher. Tried to launch each activity but it just crashed.
Rebooted and continuous errors.
There's something unique in Motorola's framework similar to TouchWiz/Sense etc. I know this is the HTC One forums, but I felt like trying it out

Maybe we can try by changing the build.prop of the phone. We did the same with Facebook Home and it seemed to work. Anyone can try this out?

are you following me from phone to phone over the years? :silly:
i've got the air gestures half working (screen on, scroll through browser etc) gonna try and get the rest working later on...
as for motorola touchless control apk it will never work without the motorola chip inside
Touchless controls is going to require a Motorola Phone. It requires a specific low-core processor that allows the phone to be constantly listening, if we kept the mic in our phones on 24/7 without Motorola's specific hardware, our battery would die in 1 hour.

I've tried to scroll browser with every gesture. Zilch.

here's the settings i've used, but it's very hit and miss... best way i've found is to sweep my left thumb near the charging light/mic

No luck. I give up. Had a couple of responses earlier, like opening browser when it was already opened and requesting root.
Have you guys tryd using a logcat to see what it keeps looking for before it crashes just saying then we could have a better understanding.

yep it's not the best, i'm about to delete it aswell... maybe in a few years time we'll have proper full air gestures like tom cruise in Minority Report ..hehe

I was at work and couldn't download it and play with it. I have since tried it (it failed for me too), and have done some more digging. Apparently, the Moto X has a core in it's processor made to do just this. We do not have that core. Looks like this is a lost cause...
Stop saying core! It's a DSP, noting 'core' about that. .
But yes, this is useless without that chip. There is a app on play store that does the same thing and you can even set the wake phrase ('Jarvis!'). Haven't tried it so I cannot comment on battery, but I'm sure it uses quite a bit.

Is this going to be able to work with the nexus 5 because is has the same snapdragon 800 or will it still struggle? So disappointed the nexus 5 doesn't feature some of the moto x impressive features like touchless control and amazing battery. Otherwise it is a great phone!

Didn't anybody tell you? We're obliged to mess around with our phones, edit build.props, you know, stuff that could render our devices as, well.....paperweights really, just so the op can laugh at our expense.
How about OP, you install on your device, if it doesn't work....bad times, if it does work, post a solution. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

The Moto2 Camera app is by far the best I've used in my smart device history. (Whereas I remember my droid x2 having the absolute worst camera and camera app , with the exception of any and all blackberry cams)
I read a bunch of scathing reviews on the Z² Force camera, and honestly I don't understand why. I've had fantastic results thus far, even in terrible lighting situations. It has excellent manual support when you want it, and pretty damn good auto function. I'll update this with some pictures later. ( Only have pictures of my daughter right now, don't want to put her on the web).
I will say though, the "smart object detection" is a bit silly. I understand where it is leading, and even remember the Bill Nye episode on this technology, so I respect it... But... Keep it out of my stock camera app.

You can disable this... BUT I think it's a great thing having this on stock camera... It's nothing particularly new (e.g. Goggles...), but having this at "a shaking distance" would male this a lot more usable...
Update to previous post. These are some pics I took in full auto mode while at work. I know it wasn't the initial purpose of post, but figured whatevs.

Hello, everyone. I am a Mate 20 X owner and I am trying an interesting experiment. The Honor View 20 has an interesting software trick that not even the Mate and P30-Series have. AI Ultra-clear mode takes several 48MP exposures into one high quality 48MP photo. In theory, the Mate 20 and P30 series should be better suited for AI Ultra-clear mode since the sensors are more powerful than the IXM586 on the Honor View 20 and 40MP photos should be a bit easier to process than the 48MP. The P30 Pro in particular should be well suited because its RYYB sensor collects 40% more light and is optically stabilized. The theory is to create photos with a quality that's higher than what is expected from a smartphone. Of course this could all fall flat and the app will crash upon launch. But this is XDA, nothing ventured, nothing gained!
I have looked all over the net, but I could not find a camera Apk for the Honor View 20. I am hoping that a Honor View 20 owner would be kind enough to send me the apk for this experiment. If it works, I would also like if some P30 Pro owners would join me in this experiment. Thanks so much!

Not only camera you also need libraries inorder to get the camera working.
To find what libraries are missing run logcat while opening the camera.

It's being recognized as an input device and when I open "game zone" nothing happen. White screen when I try to calibrate it....
I'm afraid that is some kind of firmware/region restriction.

The calibration does not work for me neither. However the case is recognized as L and R in all games that have controller support, at least for me. Are you sure the the games you have tried have controller support? If you would like to use it in a game that does not support controllers then you need to use a key mapping app such as panda gamepad, works great in cod mobile

It's sad because some videos I've found show the case working flawlessly with pubg if I'm not mistaken. (Chinese videos)

Bro, what's you firmaware/compilation number?
I'm trying to configure it but the bottoms L/R are unavailable in the slide panel but it is there in gray mode but can't use it or I can't activate it.
The instructions says the we need 10.4 app asistant, I got it, but doesn't work properly. I wanna use in CoD and don't wanna use the alternative mode (Panda) for the moment.

I am using MWP gcam 8.3.253: it works rather well on the P6 pro (all lenses) and offers some manual tweaking (including for astro). It is still a beta version.
I'm not sure how this works, but will it be possible to have a mod that retains the precise version of GCam that's on the Pixel 6 Pro, but simply adds functionality? Eg. the ability to alter sharpness and noise settings? Or is it necessary that the mod replace the entire thing with a new version?
Oh, and would this require rooting the phone?

With the first link I am just able to set the timer to 59 seconds. Thought it is 4:59 minutes in the original Gcam that came with our phone

Working on my P6 Pro.
I just can't find a setting for 100% jpeg Quality.
This version brings back the AE/AF lock function (padlock icon) !!!
I use it a lot to keep the exposure consistent between frame to make large panoramas in Photoshop.
selfie cam not working properly in the modded one, and if you take 20x zoom is a lot worse with more noise than the stock 8.4.
i feel DR is worse too in the modded one
