Pixel 2 portrait mode for Lenovo Z2 plus

its not my work, I am just sharing it. Read the post first then install the or proceed further. Working on my Lenovo Z2 plus and Xiomi redmi note 3 (snapdragon).

Do you need to install gapps to get Google camera working

Well pixel experience roms include gapps in their package... But this does not require gapps, main reqirement is camera 2api enabled device

Except portrait mode everything is working fine

it does not work on aospextended 5.1

it does not work on zui 3.1.117 ST

Well, it is not working on my z2 plus now, also having issues with op3t, but surprisingly, redmi note 3 is showing good and consistent result.

Zui doesnot have camera 2 api

not working on aex 5.1 31-12 build, black screen and force close

Everything except Portrait mode works on Cardinal AOSP 5.3.

It's not installing on Aicp 13.1.... please help.... I need portrait mode on my Zuk z2 plus

It worked for one time only, there after i am also getting a black screen... Dont know the reason. Though its working on op3t and redmi note 3(kenzo).
The picture was clicked using opt3.

Same as in AEX, everything except Portrait works.

[GUIDE][Install]MIUI 10 AI Portrait Mode On Redmi 5 Plus

Discontinued​Tomorrow the Global Public Beta of MIUI 10 8.7.12 releaed for second batch including our Redmi 5 Plus/Note 5 (India). As at time of MIUI 1st release Xiaomi was announced the support of AI Portrait Mode will be added also for single camera smartphone. But unfortunately they never include Redmi 5 Plus in the list of devices getting AI Portrait Mode. From 8.7.12 update the users were hoping that they will get portrait mode but there was nothing except disappointment.
But I've a really big and good news for every Redmi 5 Plus (vince) lover. I made possible to install/enable AI Portrait Mode on Redmi 5 Plus MIUI 10 (tested on 8.7.10/8.7.12)
At now the portrait mode working only on front camera, soon it'll be available for back camera as well
Requirements:
Unlocked Bootloader
TWRP or Orange Fox Recvoery

Install the Camera2Api enabler magisk zip, or if u won't to root then flash Camera2Api zip via TWRP!

I installed Camera2Api through orange fox recovery enabler...and after installing this mod...gcam stopped working

This mod replaces build.prop so the edit to enable camera2api will be gone and you need to edit it again.

I did everything but my camera is still the same as if nothing happened. No portrait for me. ??

When will the portrait mode on the back camera be available for vince?
The front camera portrait is working like a charm though. Thanks for sharing.

The things are just in tunnel, so we hope in coming days we'll be able to get portrait mode for back cam

The portrait appeared after I flashed Magisk v16 then flashed the UpdateBR. And voila. It worked. Thank you so much. ???

I experimented with removing the Magisk v16, the portrait mode will be removed as well. I hope someday it will work without Magisk v16 being flashed. Because later did I know, I have apps that is not compatible with Magisk v16. Oh well.

No. It doesn't work for back camera. Only the front cam.

2 things:
1. Did you guys are not getting it with your dual camera? You were almost the first ones on getting that. If you mean in the front camera, you should wait for update as you are not on MIUI.
2. Why do you ask on a Vince forum, where you are going to get most likely Vince users?? The best way to find out is trying it as no one here, who make mods, are making it or even testing them on different models. If not, go ahead and ask on the Mi A1 forum.

Can't we have it on custom roms?

miui 10 global 8.10.11 beta camera2 api is not enabling i tried everthing and twrp showes a issue unable to mount storage then i format my redmi note 5 then i flash magisk and camera 2 api files then i boot into system and finished setup then i check camera 2 api is enabled or not in camera compatibility app but the result still camera2 api is not enabled

Use root explorer, search build.prop and open it in text editor tool and paste this "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" line anywhere, then save & exit.

Back camera portrait mod is not work, only work in front camera...

I am download it ..but not work .. my phone redmi 5 plus rom china miui 10 beta

working on note4x running on latest miui10 beta.. the portrait mode on the backcam also works.. the subject must only be 1-1.5 meters away as suggested in the camera..

Front camera portrait mode also work on miui 9.6.5.0 without root. On redmi note 5?

Does anyone know how to make the app run in full screen?

The question is very simple:
can the Mi Mix 2 with the latest stable global MIUI10 Oreo rom (and with only the mod in the build.prop file) use Gcam ?

Flash the 60fps magisk module as well as gcam over from mi-6 thread. Gcam works fine for me. Rooted Mix 2 on 8.10.25 MIUI 10 Global Beta, rooted with magisk.

I've uploaded 60fps fix in attachment. Not my work. I took it from mi6 discussion thread. U flash this module via recovery, wipe cache + dalvik/art. Then install MGC gcam 5.3.015.
Clear app cache before running it. That's how I got it to work. Unrooted gcam is plainly either with focus problems or with features disabled.

Which gcam mod you took/installed?
It seems there are many versions.
The one from "arnova" on this thread seems to work, and have the community who can help about that specific gcam mod:

I've heard that gcam 5.3 and 6.1 only work with redmi note 5 India version (20mp front cam)
with global and China version (13mp front cam), it will crash when switch to front cam

i'm using China ver, pe extended 21/10 built, front cam crash with gcam 5.3 and 6.1; cam-patch installed

This is the lastest magisk module patch, use for Android P
Load it via magisk then reboot into twrp, wipe dalvik+ cache
Reboot system
