Hi! I have on a Samsung tab s the lineage os installed but I'd like to go back to the original os from Samsung, the one you get when you buy the tablet.
Could someone tell me where to find that? I can't find this info anywhere..
Thanks!

Go to sammobile.com and register (easy). Then search for your device (= SM-t800 or Galaxy Tab S) and country in the firmware section. The latest firmware is ....RJ1 based on 6.01. Download is quite slow though. To flash use an earlier version of Odin e.g 12 or lower as the latest versions are mainly used for Oreo.
I'm on Resurrection Remix and had problems too. I also wanted to go back to original OS but after having flashed the latest nightly (20/11) the problems are gone. So I will stay with the Lineage-based OS for the time being. Cheers LJ

Hi,
I flashed version 14.1-2017016-UNOFFICIAL-n8013 to my Samsung galaxy note 10.1 wifi edition.
I would like to flash an official ROM on it in order to benefit from upgrades.
Looking at the lineageOS download section it seems that there is no N8013 version anymore. Should I take the one called n1awifi ? This is not clear for me.
If so, can I just flash it with twrp and keep all my settings and programs ? Or should I start right from the beginning?
Thank you!
Nobody for this one?
Thanks

Please be sure (check again, then again) which model you have... and let us know
If it is the Galaxy Note 10.1 (WIFI) n8013 you can download the stock firmware and flash it with ODIN.
NOTE: Pretty old software and no updates lately, in fact it still keeps the 4.1.2 Android Version as official.
But, this forum is for Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) [SM-P600 variants], if you have this model, please check EXACTLY wich model it is... so we can give you a link to downlad the stock firmware or the right custom (lineageOS) ROM for device.
Otherwise we could be giving you wrong advice and you'll end up bricking your device.

Hi,
Thank you for answering me, I was feeling a bit alone
On the back of the device I can read Model GT-N8010 wifi 16Gb.
I just ran an Antutu benchmark and the results are:
GT-N8013
Android 7.1.1 (32-bit)
Architecture: ARM Cortex-A9
CPU: Exynos 4412 1433 MHz
Resolution: 1280x800
size: 10.1 pouces
Renderer: Mali-400MP
Material: TFT
Density: 160 dpi
Back Camera: 4.9 mega pixel 2560x1920
Front Camera: 1.9 mega pixel 1392x1392
I hope this info is enough.
I'm currently running LineageOS 14.1.
My initial post has been moved to this forum, so I'm not sure if it's the right one.
I have TWRP as a recovery so I can easily flash a ROM, but which one? I'd be really happy if you could point me to the right one.
Thank you!

Well... between GT-N8013 and GT-N8010 only difference is software... so you can install any. Use lastest ODIN as main way to flash.
Official Firmware:
GT-N8010: http:// rapidgator.net /file/9080b81b75100c8f164859ea386ef5c1 > Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) - Recommended
GT-N8013: http:// rapidgator.net /file/96d70a410efbabe165c620587b8cd5ac > Android 4.1.2 (JellyBean)
Notes:
1. Just erase the blank spaces to get links
2. I recommend GT-N8010 since is a newer Android (KitKat)
After download, flash it with latest ODIN (3.12.3) as known. Try to do a clean install, so the bootloader will update correctly.

If you want/like newer Android versions and custom ROM, lineageOS is the best/most secure option still developing for this model... however, there are some issues since it is in Alpha Status.
https:// forum.xda-developers. com/ galaxy-note-10-1/development/rom-nougat-t3505239
There are other ROM projects too... but most seems abandoned, old dated. You can check for example the Gnabo version for GT-n108x.

After flash stock firmware with ODIN, you will lose TWRP, however... you can get it official from here:
https:// dl.twrp.me /p4noterf/twrp-2.8.7.0-gt-n8013.img.html > GT-N8013
https:// dl.twrp.me /p4noterf/twrp-2.8.7.0-gt-n8010.img.html > GT-N8010
After download, flash it with ODIN, but unclick Auto Reboot in options to flash it, then get in recovery mode before to reboot, it will ask you to swap to allow modifications, so you do. Otherwise it will be override with stock recovery and you must repeat process again.
To get root, simply copy latest SU.zip file to the sdcard and flash it with TWRP.
Once you are root, you can even try to upgrade to TWRP 3.xxx with the TWRP APK from Google Play if you like.
Final Notes:
Don't forget to use ODIN you must have the drivers for your samsung device correctly installed in your PC.

Like the title asks I want to know if I must update my BL/CP over odin and if so, where are sources to those?
Currently I run Android 6 on my SM-T805 with custom ROM but I want to switch to linage 14.1 (Android 7.x).
Hope that I must not update BL/CP but to be safe it should be done, shouldn't it?
Sice last major update for T805 is Marshmallow, there will be no Nougat BL. Use MM. Yesterday I tried MM BL and it worked with Ressurection remix.

I found BL/CP from 01/2017 and tried LinageOS 14.1 out since it is listed as unofficial LOS ROM and it is working fine - Hope that this will later also support Andorid 8
which should then definitly be the last possible port for this device I think. I mean it is a good one but it is now over 2 (3?) years old and I should search for an equal
ones but this time definitly with NFC support.
Currently using Lineage OS 14.1 on Mi5s.
I have checked in Settings > About Phone and in Kernel Toolkit but cannot seem to find it anywhere.
It's not urgent but it would be ideal in the event that I forget the last firmware I have flashed.
Thanks for reading.

Just flash the latest firmware and forget about it for few months lol.
In one of his threads Luk1337 posted a method for checking the firmware/modem version. I can't find it now, but it was there.

I fresh installed LOS a few days ago on Xiaomi sweet. Used firmware 14. Now the developer suggests using firmware 13. Can I just flash it when the LOS ROM is configured?
Will flashing firmware mess with a ROM?
Will installing fw13 after fw14 work or this is a one-way route?
Thanks.

Hi, I updated my Tab S T-800 with Resurrection Remix based on 14.1 and it works really great.
Tried LOS15.1 too, but wasn't stable.

Guys, I have Samsung Galaxy TAB S (SM T805) if I update it to a newer version will it be faster?
Or if I root the tablet?

Newer firmware doesn't necessarily make the device faster. There isn't much you can do about a 9 yr old device.
Since the T800/T805 are not Treble compliant, the only way to run newer firmware is via custom ROMs, although I doubt development on devices this old gets much attention.
So what I understand is there is not much to do with the tablet to make it a little bit faster.
What about root or that is a different matter?
And last question about

Root is a different matter. In most cases, you can flash the Magisk app through TWRP, and Magisk will automatically detect the right way to root your device. If TWRP is not available, you'll need to patch the AP firmware file in Magisk, then flash to your device with Odin.

Would you be able to suggest which old tablets could make sense to flash semi-current roms onto? I tried to bring back some old device to reuse for home assistant display, but it's too old... Been thinking about these samsungs, but from this thread it's also a bit too old.

I don't have any suggestions, sorry. I have a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (T290) at home that I'm running an AOSP GSI on, but those were released in 2018.

imho it's correct that a custom ROM doesn't necessarily make old devices faster, but I experienced it such that at least they don't get slower (except I9195).
Recently I was allowed to support development of Android 19=LOS 20 for my T325 and it runs like hell.
P600 and P900 on LOS14, T810 on LOS19 all using daily in different rooms.
I9195 on LOS18 (that is really laggy) N910F on LOS18 as backup devices.
