Otherwise , then here it is .
This version by @Hass31 is optimised for Mi A2 Lite and I can say this is the first version of Google Camera that I used which is fully functional .
Pre-Requisites : You have to enable Camera2Api in order to use this version of GoogleCamera .
Tested :
1. Front Camera (Potrait) HDR+ On = Working
2. Front Camera HDR+ = Working
3. Front Camera HDR+ Off = Working
4. Rear Camera (all mode) = Working
5. Video 60fps (I doubt it shoot at 60fps) with Stabilize = Working
6. Video slowmotion 120fps = Working
Thus , I can say we finally have this version that is sufficient and better than the stock cam .

Uninstallable on stock+magisk and camera 2 API enabled..
No problems installing here, on October update - magisk and cam2 api
Everything seems to work ok, but Night mode is not on this build.

it's v5.+,
night mode is in v6.+ of google camera
isnt it possible to it not require camera 2 api?
I can also confirm that everything works.
But sadly this isn't the latest build of the Google camera and is only build v5, so until than, the Tolyan009 version is better in my opinion.

If you want the latest version and night sight you gotta give up on the hdr+ powered selfies if you are okay with that you can use tolyan's mi max2 version which is (stay tuned for the updates from the site i posted previously tho):

I can confirm that this MI Mix2 version is the most complete for the MI A2 Lite: it only misses the HDR/HDR+ front and Slow Motion.
WIth this and other 2 different versions installed, I'm good to shot every existing mode for foto and video
How to use this? just simply install or theres some magic needed before it works?

In order to use the excellent Google Camera features ( HDR+ and etc.) you need to have Camera2 API Enabled, to do that you need root.
Otherwise you can just install some basic google camera with sub-optimal performance.
Does front camera HDR+ and portrait mode work?
I remember my Redmi 5 plus worked in portrait mode but no front cam HDR+
But now my phone is bricked, so I can't test it

Noup, i tried every GCam apk under the sun. No luck.
I can live with that but main reason i keep my stock camera around is because the front flash doesn't work on GCam...

yes, but you should turn off hdr mode in portrait mode
There are 2 versions here. If you use the first version, you will use the portrait mode normally. If you use the second version, during use you must turn off the hdr mode in portrait mode
I just checked it thoroughly. The first version is compatible with all roms. The second version is compatible with MIUI
I have no idea why, but Arnova V2 crashes a lot. I'm using latest EU stable rom.

so you should using first file or reinstall camera. I used 2nd file with MIUI Global 9.2.6.0 no crash yet

Wrong. No root needed, just setprop hal3 = 1 in twrp adb shell Mode. Using gcam without root here, miui eu 9.5.4.0

You should mention me since the long time I just saw your comment. Already activated camera2 api without root and it's working but fortunately the portrait in front camera not working. I know it's common problem hope will fixed in future

GCamera_Mod_v.5.1.23_R5Plus_fix_crash - I use it for Front Camera | Everything works, requires good config, flash works, no night-sight.
GoogleCamera_5.2.025-Final_fu24-18 - I use It for certain conditions not always so It's not recommended but It's ok to have it!!

As everyone was asking for some guides and fixes of the Google Camera on our Mi Note 3 device, I decided to help you out with a guide and all necessary resources to get it working.
First of all, for people new to Google Camera, follow @dimi89 's guide as an introduction to all processes needed to achieve a working camera port.
To make it simple, you need to:
Unlock bootloader
Flash TWRP or boot it through fastboot (there are plenty of guides here)
Install Magisk systemless root through TWRP recovery
Flash my fixes module below to enable Camera 2 API and make front camera working as desired
Install the best APK for you from https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
Be happy
Until now, we had it working but some features like Portrait mode, front camera HDR+ and portrait, plus front camera flash were missing.
With the help of @defcomg I managed to make a Magisk Module as a bundle that does both enabling Camera2API and adds necessary libs to fix the camera. You can download it below.
As per the apk of the GCam on your device, I recommend latest Arnova8G2 version. You can also find it at the bottom of this post. It is great and does not require any other settings after you apply the fix in Magisk.

You can test it on your device on your own risk. If it does not work you can delete module from magisk.

No, you shouldn't have any issue with that.
This zip for magisk. Install this zip with TWRP.
You can record [email protected] slow motion with google cam and [email protected] with stock camera.
But if you enable this mod you cant use portraid mode on stock camera if you want use portraid mode
you can deactive this mod at magisk modules

Download BSG's latest Gcam. (Not the alpha build) It works with all lenses and everything in the app works and you don't need any configs, just install and you're good.

Yeah, Gcam takes better, sharper photos than the stock cam. You don't have to update if you don't want to.

Wide angle lens works fine, so does the telephoto and video recording. Everything works. It works on Miui or Custom ROMS.
